Rows and rows of vibrant, beautifully swirled gelato in every flavor imaginable Ordered the dubai chocolate flavor and also the tiramisu and cookies and cream. All of them were bomb. The gelato is incredibly smooth, creamy, and packed with real flavor. None of that icy or artificial taste you sometimes get with the supermarket brands. Staff lets you have free samples to taste so you can know which one to order. I love that you can watch them scoop it with care. It really feels like a little work of art in a cup or cone. They also have a great selection of gelato bars and popsicles if you're in the mood for something handheld. The staff is always friendly and patient, especially when you're standing there overwhelmed by all the delicious options. There is also a see through glass where you can see how the gelato is prepared in the back. This gelato was smooth and creamy perfection. American Dream has so many sweet options, but don't overlook Lucciano's. They had so many flavors, but pistachio is always my go-to. This did not disappoint. Prices are high, but even a small was a very large portion. They also have an espresso machine, and my iced Americano was strong and refreshing. In addition to gelato they also have a really fun and cute selection of ice pops. Next time I'm back with my kids they would probably get a kick out of that minions pop. What a treat to have a gelato while perusing the American dream mall. My first question when entering Lucciano was if they had any sugar free options. No options. Let us get down to business. There were so many choices and so little time. I decided to go with the Mango gelato. The server told me I could pick a second flavor for the same price. I jumped at the chance and picked the lime flavor. It was so smooth and satitifying going down the pipe. I could have ate at Lucciano but opted to walk around the mall and show everyone one how good the gelato was. The server did tell me that Lucciano is in its slow period. Looks like they make it fresh on location but I was there later in the day so I didn't get to see it. Place is nicely decorated and a cool spot for a mall. Located inside American Dream mall.. a small gelato shop which give you more than you can ask for (maybe another mouth and stomach to try everything?) They take your order at the cashier, and proceed to watching them scoop out the gelato in a specific way.. it's a work of art!! There are many flavor to choose from, and it could have you headache if you don't know what you want (like me).. they also have gelato bars (that look like icecream bar) and fruit bar if you are in the mood for a bar instead of the traditional gelato.. the only thing I could improve would be the flow of guest? For me, I automatically go look at all the favor in the case since I don't know what to choose from, but then I end up in people's way when they are waiting for their gelato.. and when I get to the register to order, it's hard for me to remember the favor as they ask me which favor I want on my cup and I have to go back to the case and look (sorry about that).. just a little confusing.. other than that the staff was nice, he never rushed me.. the food was great!! I was craving dessert after lunch nearby. Saw this place, and even though a scoop was a bit expensive, I was fine with it as I shared a scoop. They give you unlimited samples as long as you purchase one in advance. Too bad they didn't have vanilla, but I did like the strawberry flavored one. There's a lot of indoor seating, and you can see them making ice cream in the back where there's a glass window. They also have Popsicles that are supposedly popular here. I suggest coming here if you want tasty gelato. The service wasn't bad here, but they need more workers to pick up the pace when crowds come inside to order. read more

In lieu of the coaster rides, some of us decided on Lucciano's, a family-owned, Argentinian based getateria chain as a treat yesterday. Located by the skating rink, the line was long but the wait was worthwhile. They have a variety of flavors to choose from along with popsicles and other pastries. There are sorbet options available for those who want a lighter flavor too. My partner, our friends and I ordered a cup of the chocolate gelato and tiramisu gelato, and a cone containing strawberry gelato with a scoop of chocolate sorbet. I tried a few flavors and the top 3 for us were, the passion fruit cheesecake, the peanut caramel, and the hazelnut. They were all delicious and would get these again. One of the things you absolutely must try when you come to the American Dream is Luciano's Gelato. Great flavor and the perfect cosistancy in all of the choices they have. A special shout-out to the very efficient and only worker there the day after Christmas. She was beyond pleasant and while there was a very long line, she treated each customer with class and friendliness. Typically not a huge gelato person as it is typically overpowering, but came with friends and got to try a a couple of flavors and we were all delighted with the variety of flavors. Located right next to the ice skating rink and right before Toys R Us, the water park, and Nickelodeon Universe, it's a perfect location to get a delicious treat with the family after a day of fun. Clean, inviting atmosphere with a wonderful, friendly staff. Favorite flavors? Passion Fruit Cheesecake and the Dark Chocolate. (I forgot the name of it. But it's the darkest chocolate they have.) Lucciano's is a new artisanal gelateria that opened in American Dream. The location was right next to the ice skating rink, so it's a great spot to "chill" right after your skate. Their glass cases were lined with different flavors of a gelato, from your traditional tiramisu to cookies and cream and lemon. There are 3 different size cups and 2 different cones you can use to match your gelato. I decided for a small cup (where you are allowed to have two flavors mixed in) with nutella and tiramasu. It wasn't the best gelato I've had; the tiramasu was icey and ruined everything for me. But the cafe itself is clean and customer service was great. I'd come back to try their other flavors and hopefully find something better to like! read more

I love Lucciano's. A lot of gelato places in the area are not authentically gelato, and I usually have to go to New York for something that will really satisfy my craving. However this place is so good. I love the tiramisu, mango, and the dark hazelnut flavor (taste like Ferraro Rocher). If you come on the weekend expect a line. Weekdays - earlier in the day- are perfect though. The staff is so nice and they're so accommodating. There's a female manager on staff that is just the best!!! P.S. Following a stay in Barcelona, where our family spent a few hundred dollars on Lucciano's Gelato, I was delighted to discover a Lucciano's store in the American Dream mall in New Jersey. There I discovered American Dream Lucciano's individual item prices somewhat higher, +20%, than Barcelona, a disconcerting rise in an already premium price product, though most troublesome element in the American Dream Lucciano's is the difference in gelato presentation from the Barcelona store. At the Barcelona store, both cones and cups are offered and presented by the number of "balls" of gelato delivered in a specific cone or cup size. A small cup 1 ball, a medium cup 2 balls, a large cup 3 balls, the same progression of number of gelato balls served in cones. In Lucciano's Barcelona store, both cones and cups are presented with massive, 2.50" balls placed in the cup, a look, a reality of abbondaza and generosita, abundance and generosity, a prime feature in presentation of all Italian food. At the American Dream shop, cones are presented with less than 1.75 to 2" gelato balls in the cone in a miserly and skimpy look similar to the packaged vanilla cones found in 7-11 freezers for a buck fifty. Moreover, there is no cone offered in the 3 ball chocolate encrusted "super premium" size offered at the Lucciano's Rambla De Catalunya store for US $8. Cups at American Dream Lucciano's are presented with loosely packed, NOT balls, of gelato leveled flat at the top of the cup, similar to the ice cream cup presentation found as dessert in elementary and middle schools throughout US. No abundance, no generosity, no visuals that proclaim "YO!!! I am delightful, expensive first rate product! Pay big dollars! Enjoy me now! I know I'm expensive, I know you look for value so I am first rate gelato product! I am generous, voluptuous in presentation! I am the Sophia Loren of gelato!" Net result of the presentation is cones and cups at Lucciano's American Dream contain +/-30% less gelato at 20% price increase. No doubt Lucciano's will continue to serve customers at American Dream and no doubt the customers will enjoy the gelato ... though it's served warm and runny, not the crisp and dense mouth feel of Barcelona gelato. Will the American Dream Lucciano's reach the +125 person crowd seen in the Barcelona store service cycles? Me? I'll enjoy Lucciano's gelato in Barcelona and Rome. I won't buy Lucciano's product at American Dream. The combination of high price and miserly product portion size is insulting, does not speak in generous or voluptuary language. Is the American Dream unit a company store or a franchise? Who knows. Whichever, it doesn't measure up to the delight found in Barcelona. Lucciano's American Dream gelato is expensive product and the presentation projects a miserly and stingy look. Who wants to eat with grasping, miserly and stingy operators? I'm 30 years in foodservice business, don't get me started on the production cost of ice cream or the notion of truth in pricing, and the critically important foundation charge of abundance in hospitality needed to properly execute in foodservice business. read more

We walked all the way across the mall to get here with five little kids to get ice cream. We showed up at a few minute before closing and got in line. They served the group in front of us and then said we cannot serve you as we are closing. I said we have five little kids who walked across an entire mall for this, and I offered to make it worth their while with paying cash. Was disgusting. I got the pig popsicle and the back was covered in DUST. I wanted to return it but my parents paid $8 for it which I find to cost alot. I choose the King Nero and then the King Bianco after being informed that I could have two choices. Service was extremely pleasant. Digging the gelato out did not appear to be an easy task.
