The event page even states they would be hosting exclusively women that weekend, something that was never mentioned during booking. When my husband went to use the pool as expected, staff told us we needed to wear clothes because of the event. That directly contradicts the "clothing-optional" experience they promote. We felt out of place and uncomfortable enough that we left shortly after. If this had been disclosed upfront, we would have never booked. This felt like a bait and switch.

Luckily the staff was attentive and fixed the issue after some time. If I could offer any feedback on our experience, it would be to put some key essentials in the room. We had a full size kitchen but there were no paper towels, dish towels, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, sponges, or even basic things like salt and pepper. The bathrooms too didn't have hand soap, an adequate amount of body wash, or even a place to hang towels. Another concern I plan to mention to management was the fact that people were throwing things from the rooftop lounge down onto our balcony, including straws, drink stirrers, food and, worryingly, a knife. If anyone would have been sitting on the deck when the knife was thrown it could have been a major issue. In the end, the room was absolutely breathtaking.
