The driver's door was coming into contact with the front left side panel whenever it opened or closed. To resolve this, the owner bent the panel outward and added a shim to the door hinge, preventing the surfaces from rubbing. I called the Lexus dealership in Annapolis and was referred to JB's for repair. Pros: Really nice people, quick Turnaround (2 1/2 weeks) and collision repair knowledge. Cons: communication is ok; I would have liked more informed updates that discussed my out-of-pocket expenses when using this shop. This is why I want to put a warning if you use this particular shop. Warning: This is the only certified Lexus repair shop in the area that won't bring down their labor rate per hour. This will affect you because they are well above the insurance cap ( they charge 54 dollars, and state insurance companies cap at 50 dollars an hour). This means the difference will be paid by you, the consumer. Knowing what I have learned, I would have picked another place that wouldn't force me to pay additional fees even though their finished product was good. It is bad enough to get into an accident that isn't your fault but to have to pay the difference is even more traumatizing. I am fortunate that the insurance company waived the charges, but from what I hear, this isn't the norm. This shop is an excellent place if you are willing to pay 200-500 out of your pocket.
