Stationary is my weakness. As a creative and a writer, I like the pretty things that I can personalize. The Stylish Scribe offers that. And the invitations are very artistic! This company also hosts special events from time to time. Inviting the community the opportunity to be creative or just shop!

I fell in love with this shop before I walked in the door! It had popped up sometime ago, in my Yelp and I was super excited to find a stationary store. Reminds me of back in the day getting excited to go to Sanrio and other stationary stores in my old hometown. I tried going once, but seemed to have missed them on a day they close earlier than others. So upon learning of a holiday sip and shop, I made sure to keep my calendar semi-clear to check it out. There was ample street parking and a sign on the curb to invite guests in. Before walking in there was a cute Letter for Santa mailbox. I walked in and felt like I walked into a Christmas snow globe- full of merchandise, stationary, and just everything really pretty. Each section was so well organized. The hardest part for me was narrowing down what I wanted to buy! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, invited to grab a drink and snack in the back, and there was another local business with merchandise as well. Feather- who works on skin care services and a boutique, had great items and accessories as well! Upon listening and learning online, invitations for special events and weddings are created here. In addition to the endless supply of cute office supplies, and other fun accessories. I think this is a great shop when trying to find a special gift for someone for any occasion, there were endless options to choose from. The owner stated she's hoping to do another one next month- so I will definitely keep an eye out for that to come out with even more goodies for Holiday gifts!

After a friend of mine gifted me something from this store and told me it was local, I had to see it for myself. When I walked in I wanted one of everything. This store is a classy, grown up version of Lisa Frank on steroids. Seriously all of their stuff is awesome. You can't just leave with one item. I love the fact that they can customize invitations, cards, save the dates, note pads, cards and yard signs. I'm sure there's more they can do I just haven't discovered it yet. I can't wait for my customized notepad and card sets to arrive.

I really like this shop! I went with a friend to their Holiday Shopping Night. It was so much more than I expected. They had really cute Holiday Cards, wrapping supplies and really cute easy to shop gift boxes made up. I never knew how much stationary items I actually want and use. I got some Holiday things, but my Favorite purchase was a beautiful floral print Pad Folio. It has a clip board on the outside and opens up to a really nice paper and folder space. I also got a journal and a nice set of pens all for less than $40!! I highly recommend stopping in you will be surprised by how cute and practical everything is.

I did not know where to get my invitations. Online scared me because I had no idea if tge quality would be any good. Saw Jessica's review and went for it. The quality of the material is amazing I love it. and she is really understanding!

Family and friends loved our wedding invites! Very creative, and detailed! Went perfect with our nautical theme on a yacht!

But so is Disney, SailorMoon, Sword Art, Jujutsu Kaisen, etc... don't get me wrong. I do like the ones they have [overall], just would like to see some other options. A lot of these blind boxes are what you could find if you were to go to Japan and visit their gashapon locations. I would LOVE to see an entire row of those machines stocked in there. I'd probably go broke if they did that. As for service. The staff is typically friendly, but I did hear them tell others they couldn't bring drinks or food in there. I get it. They want to protect the goods and let's be honest here folks. People NO LONGER care about others property. People are so careless and have an attitude of, 'Oh, well, too bad' and don't care if they stain something that now has to be written off. You may not like it, but be respectful. It's really not that hard folks. I hope that they change it up a little though and bring in more stuff. I also hope that someday people will understand that this is a collectables store with stationery.

The figure selection has been so so but nothing really worth being excited about. The prices for many items have also increased significantly. My kiddo was coming here for cinnamoroll, hutsune miku, chikawa, and spirited away items. However both hot topic and box lunch have had almost identical items for typically 15% less on average. It's a bummer because we liked coming here. Now it's kinda a let down.

Grassroots Books is a very good used bookstore with a lot of variety of material-- children's books, DVD's, some records, gently used paperback and hardcover books. Hours are flexible for when they are open, however, they only buy books on Thursdays during the afternoon. I have never been tempted much to sell anything to them over the years, as they tend to be quite choosy with the material that they want and don't want. As a longtime book collector, this is important to maintaining a quality used stock and helps with inventory management. I highly recommend Grassroots for your next book adventure!

For certain events, you want so much to go right and you want to be able to express your own style and personality in all the details. Larissa's great work allowed us to do this with every design that she worked on with us. If you actually need more information (geez), keep reading. From the beginning, Larissa was the most consistently easy and fun part of our wedding planning process. We contacted her and set up a time to meet - in a cafe in Dogpatch. She snagged us a table big enough to spread out swatches, past invitations so we had something to go on, wording suggestions, etc etc etc. Being the indecisive (and somewhat uncreative) people we are, my then-fiance and I needed all the visuals to give us that spark. Using Larissa's suggestions, we picked a design and colors, but wanted to make it more personal and tailored to our zoo wedding, so we asked her to add some animal silhouettes to an existing design. Back-and-forth emails - our requests, Larissa's suggestions, sample pdf's for us to approve, wording, escort cards, one layer or two?, dinner icons (we had 2 different kinds of chicken, and she was actually able to clearly make distinctions for our wait staff). Every response was prompt, deadlines were met (even when our RSVP list changed multiple times **in the few days before our wedding**), and payment was a breeze. Practically speaking, Larissa also was able to suggest options that would minimize our postage and minimize our aggravation when stuffing our envelopes. And in the end, we got these beautiful, whimsical yet elegant invitations that got so many compliments from our guests ("That is the cutest invitation I've ever seen!"). We. Loved. Them. LOVED. Do expect quite a lot of kids roaming around perusing legos, sunglasses, coloring books, puzzles, game, stuffies and more. No sales or discounts here, these are all straight retail and for such a small store, they do have quite the inventory. No rhyme or reason on layout and definitely the old-school aesthetic of a variety store, that some may call tired. It's a little bit in between. Staff isn't the friendliest, they are mainly high schoolers, seemingly. They do have some old candy? But how great would it be if they updated and had a "penny candy" section where kids could fill bags with candy? I'm imagining this spot has been around for a long time and has it cornered for toys and odds and ends in town. It has a lot of potential, but a solid spot for when the grandparents come to town and want to buy the kiddos something.
