I spoke with Russell (30 yrs tattooing) and told him I was looking for a tattoo of my dog's face inside of Lake Tahoe and an American flag as the surrounding water. I gave him a photo of my dog. He told me to give him a week or two and he would create what I'm looking for. Two weeks later he called me and said he was done with the drawing. I went back and Russell showed me his drawing. It was exactly what I was looking for. I then set an appointment I've had other tattoos but it had been over ten years since my last. This tattoo took about four hours. But it went by quickly. Russell even gave me some suggestions on the placement which I agreed to. When Russell finished I was extremely happy with the tattoo. From my many, many emails being replied to, to the hospitality showed by the entire team from the minute we arrived and the many hours we spent there, to the vibe, the artists, and the work done...this place is the best. Kathleen the owner and Ryan were very accommodating with my large group. We were in town for a week and with 7 of us getting tattooed we were a lot to handle. They offered us water while waiting. They explained everything to us before our tattoos especially info on getting tattooed at a higher elevation and how that could affect you all while reassuring you that they have water, snacks and glucose tabs just in case. I mentioned that I tend to get cold when getting work done and Scott assured me they had a blanket if I needed it. Scott and Addison were our Artists for our party of 7 that was spread out over 3 days. They were amazing. Their work is beautiful and we will definitely be back! My husband and I were so stoked on our first tattoos that we opted for a 2nd. My 2nd was not going to be a 30 min lil guy and it was getting close to closing time. I had to get on antibiotics TWICE for a ear piercing this place did, me and my sister got our ears pierced here and she got a nasty infection because her jewelry BROKE in her ear. I have 2 face piercings and this place fucked my ears up so badly, they were infected for a long time no piercer would even touch them beacuse they were so infected, eventually they broke our bleeding after months of pain and i had no choice but to get them removed at urgent care , they put some septum ring in my ear making it impossible to take them out beacuse the gap was way to small and my lobes were swollen but even if they weren't it's too small RIDICULOUS read more

I want to start by saying that the response time when contacting Lucky 7 was immediate. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago wanting to get some info and an appointment. Ryan was the first to reply within minutes of my email. He answered all my questions and then Kathleen emailed me also shortly thereafter to answer any more concerns and to make my appointment. She is so sweet in person too. Went in on a Friday for a quick consult with Russell (which stupid me I was late, felt shitty about that, didn't overcompensate for the travel time on a crowed Friday afternoon). He was totally understanding - thank goodness. I came back on Sunday and he had a few mandalas ready for me to pick. We decided on placement and he was ready to go. Started at 12:30 and finished at 5:30 with a couple little breaks in between for me. First and foremost, Russell is an outstanding guy. Very easy to talk to. Never downplayed the art I wanted or where I wanted it. His skill and talent are FIRST CLASS and I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to get inked by him.
