Julie went above and beyond from start to finish with all 3 of us. We came in to get our awwdorable granddaughter's ears pierced for her 4th birthday and Mom & Gramma were IN for third hole piercings as we couldn't have her go it alone. We scheduled our appointment, came in timely, was warmly greeted by Julie, she had us pick out our earrings brought us back to the thoroughly cleaned area and went over with all of us step by step what would happen next and after care treatment for at home too. She made all of us incredibly comfortable to include my lil granddaughter that was a total ROCKSTAR with the cutest pink pierced earrings now!! Never going here again I went once to buy some nostril retainers and ear gauges. I got home and the gauge size was not correct, okay I understand sometimes things happen. I went back to return the gauges and use the credit towards nasal jewelry, the lady said it would be about $50 for the pair and I said okay, with my credit it would've came out to 30ish.. as she rings me up she said they're closer to $90 all of a sudden. I said no thank you and got my credit and left. I went back the other day to see if they offered a different type of retainer because the ones they sold me were extremely difficult to get in my nose, this guy was working and proceeded to talk down to me about how I was putting it in my nose that i needed to go through the top, it didn't make sense because the top had a bigger ending than the bottom and the little stick that goes into the hole i would've had to push through the inside of my nose. It didn't make sense. After being spoken to like that i would rather wait for an online order moving forward. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went an got a piercing today to mirror the nostril piercing I have on the other side, and I've only heard good things and reviews were pretty good as well. But I saw the mark placed before getting the piercing which looked okay as soon as I got to my car I noticed the new piercing is super high. I called to see if they could fix it and came in for them to tell me it isn't uneven and that I'm going to have to wait till it's fully healed. When I'm going to get a piercing I'm expecting to have someone who can measure correctly and make sure it's put in the right place, and she didn't bring the measuring device until after I already came to get it fixed. Will not be coming back brought other people with me who had a good experience just not me. Why pierce something incorrectly and ask them to wait the full healing time? As you can see in the picture that it's super high and the hoop I have in it doesn't help it either. read more

Julie is the best piercer out there period. I came in to get my nipples pierced about two months ago and she was so free spirited and friendly right when I walked in. Any and all questions I had she answered freely and the whole appointment I was laughing and i left extremely satisfied and smiling! Yesterday, I went in to get my belly button pierced as a walk in, she didnt have too, but she squeezed me into her already busy schedule. As my jewelry was sanitizing, she asked me how my nipple piercings were treating me and made sure I had no other questions regarding them. Then, like always she kept me laughing and answered all my questions on my piercings. She is an amazing person and body piercer. She even recommended me another piercing that she thinks would suit me nicely. She deserves ever ounce of compliments for she is simply the best! The facility was extremely clean, the jewelry was beautiful and everything/everyone was super professional. Absolutely phenomenal experience, I was helped as soon as I walked through the door. I had an appointment called in three hours prior. I was helped finding jewelry for my navel piercing, and had all of my questions and concerns answered on the spot without any hesitation. My piercer was as sweet as can be, she talked me through the entire process and we shared conversation. After my piercing as a person with a fear of needles (ironic I know) was feeling faint, I was given water, a very nice couch in an adorably comfortable waiting room, a dum-dum lollipop and a cold compress I was no longer feeling faint within 10 minutes. They refused to let me leave before I felt back to my normal self and I felt very comfortable being in such a vulnerable state while feeling faint around all of the employees. Everything felt clean, the atmosphere was exciting and the staff where extremely inviting. read more

Got my third lobe pierced today by Leah. I had a good experience the piercing was quick. Not sure how much piercings normally cost but it is something I could not do such that I was comfortable with the $35 fee per piercing. I brought my own earrings and they were very open and willing to use my jewelry provided it was correct metal and back for piercing. Further, they sanitized it appropriately before. Although, I should have scouted the site beforehand because their jewelry appeared to be good quality and I may have been able to order what I was looking for through them. I would definitely go back or recommend Spear Me to friends and family. Additionally, Leah was thoughtful with the placement and checked locations with a caliper to ensure they were spaced evenly with my other lobe piercings. Got some earrings from here Julie put them in. I have had my ears pierced for over 20 years. Needed new ones. So a month after I got them I had to have surgery took out my all my earrings . Have a lot. When I went to put them back in I couldn't put the very top one in. I noticed that the front one broken. So I called the said no refund. Told me to talk to Julie . She said the same. Really had pierced ears for over 20 years the other 2 I got from them and they are NOT cheap either I did just find taking out putting in she tried to tell me I did wrong!! I would not go their. This review is for the newest piercer, not Julie. Julie was phenomenal, and I always felt safe when she performed my piercings! I've had two disturbing experiences with the new piercer that are such massive red flags, and now I wouldn't recommend anyone go there even as a last resort. My first experience with the new piercer was when she was a receptionist. I had a week-old piercing and needed to change out the barbell because it was chipping my teeth due to the length. Julie wasn't in at the time, so I asked if I could purchase the barbell and do it myself. This receptionist, without washing her hands, put her fingers all over my fresh wound without permission and with absolute disregard for the health and safety of my new piercing. My second experience was more recent. I had gone in to get a new hoop for my nose. This woman chose a hoop that was far too small for my piercing and continued to destroy my nose by forcing pliers to close a piece of jewelry that wouldn't fit. MY PIERCING TORE. Her hands even slipped off the pliers from the amount of force and hit my face. After she was done I asked how long she had been piercing, and she said "two years." I was mortified. These separate experiences I've had are evidence she doesn't know what she is doing and that she isn't safe in a piercing studio. My nostril was so swollen from the abuse, that we practically had to perform surgery to remove the extra-small jewelry. It left behind damaged and peeling skin. Go see Pif in Gardnerville, or an APP shop. Don't risk your health for convenience. I will not be returning until this shop hires a piercer that has common sense. read more

I never give reviews but I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here today. I walked in wearing my mask hoping to buy some new earrings for 4 piercings all that I got at Spear me in the past. The girl looked terrified when I walked in and asked about getting new earrings and said I would have to come back when someone else came back from vacation. The piercer that I am pretty sure did all my piercings was sitting right there on his phone and didn't even look up to help. No one was doing anything so I don't understand why buying jewelry was an issue. All I wanted was to spend my money at their establishment. I went somewhere else and spent 50 dollars plus a great tip, and receiving excellent service. Won't be going back to Spear me or referring people there. read more

I visited Spear Me today after bookmarking here on Yelp a few weeks ago. It was finally time to get my 2nd and 3rd ear lobe piercings re-done as they had closed up years ago. I showed up right at 10 a.m. when they opened, although I think the spa was opened before. Anyway, a very nice lady at the counter greeted me with a smile and asked what she could help me with. She let me know that the piercing person was on his way in and that it would be a short way. She said I could wander and look around or take a seat in their lounge area. I did get to use their restroom which was very clean. Zack, the piercer, arrived shortly after and the front counter lady gave him the 411 on what I needed. He was very nice and approachable and took me back to the piercing room pretty quickly. He asked if I was allergic to latex, if there were earrings I preferred over another for my "starter" earrings. Not allergic, and don`t care as long as they are not hideous. So, anyway, Zack seemed to care about my experience and comfort, which I really appreciate. The holes had definitely closed up and needed to be punched through again. He had me breathe in and then on the out breath, he pierced. Small pinch, no big deal. After I got the piercings done, he offered a brief care routine, grabbed a bottle of aftercare(for a small additional fee), and I was ready to pay. Payment was taken care of quickly and I feel like their prices are very fair(I paid $60 which included 4 earlobe piercings at $25 per pair, a bottle of after care at $5, and a tip at $5). I was expecting slightly higher, so I was happy with the total, especially because I have a bad habit of not asking for pricing(making it rain! Only not really). This place seems like a nice salon as well. Everyone I encountered was friendly, clean restrooms, quick piercing service. A+! Worth a drive down to Carson City from Reno. read more

I got my nose pierced here about a month ago. It was done very quickly and cleanly. I have the pain in the ass skin that breaks out over anything. The jewelery is legitimate hypo allergenic metal. No break outs, no infections, and no discolorations. The staff was very nice. I wish I remembered my piercer's name because she's badass. If you're getting your nose pierced like me, I would recommend not geting the star. It's cute, but gets caught on every fucking thing. No bueno. read more

I would not go for a piercing under any circumstance. I had my nosed pierced here in 0ct. of 2013. My nose piercing got an infection causing me to go to the hospital to get the jeweler removed, the day after the piercing. The doctors have confirmed it is from bacteria from when pierced. The hole has finally healed. Many people say Jayson is the best but the female working there jacked me up bad. The 2 other girls I was with had infected piercings to, just not as bad. I gave three stars because I have had both a piercing done there & haircuts & though the piercing experience was fine the hair cut experience was quite the opposite. I actually had two haircuts done with two different stylists and I disappointed with both. After the first cut, by Perry, I wasn't going to return but Chrissy was recommended so I stupidly returned and that cut was worse than the first. Don't bother telling how you want the cut, you won't be heard and once the first wrong cut is made you can only brave it out and wait till the hair grows back read more
