A pretty nice spot which FSU students clearly take advantage of. It was definitely busy when stopping in here on a weekday but the line moved quickly thankfully since we were on a road trip. They had some nice looking food options too which looked quite appealing but decided to skip that time around. The espresso was nice and fresh, I got my usual iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it did not disappoint. The baristas were pretty friendly and people definitely like to get their work done here. My one gripe is just how busy it was, but I try to take that with a grain of salt and consider it a good sign that people appreciate the coffee. I have conflicted feelings about Lucky Goat Coffee. THE GOOD: -High quality ingredients. -Plenty of trinkets to purchase, including coffee beans, t-shirts, and even a machine for drip coffee. -Calm ambiance to sit and study or work. -They also have outdoor seating in the back. -Pleasant employees who wish to provide exemplary service and do so with a smile on their face. -Ample, free parking and a varied menu of drinks and baked goods. THE BAD: -Had their spinach tomato quiche. Decent portion, but they had a heavy hand with the salt. It was saltier than what I'm accustomed to, but it was fortunately not inedible. -They don't have mochas on the menu. They were willing to make me one, and well, it was essentially a mocha latte with way too much milk. It wasn't bad, but it was weak and it reminded me of why I steer away from lattes. Probably best to get a cappuccino or an americano there for something stronger. In a nutshell, six pros and two cons, but the cons weigh heavily on me, so Lucky Goat Coffee breaks even at three stars. I feel I probably ordered the wrong thing there and would return to try other options. Frankly speaking, though, I wouldn't go out of my way for them. I wanted to love it, but I cannot tell a lie. As a personal preference, I like a chill, laid back coffee shop where I can browse the internets and really soak in what I'm reading. I paid this establishment a visit on a Friday morning and it was beyond "packed." I totally get that it might be someone's cup of tea to have to yell their order to the person on the other side of the counter, but I wasn't digging it. The customer service was great, no issues there at all, hence the three stars, but when you feel like you're verbally assaulting the poor girl taking your order because you have to yell it to her twice, it's a problem. It is not a place I would ever frequent, nor could I see myself enjoying my time spent inside those four walls longer than placing and taking my order to-go. I had to squeeze through people in back to back chairs. It sounded exactly like my high school cafeteria. Unbelievably loud conversations going on between SO many people that my ears were ringing when I left. Sadly, the coffee didn't have much flavor at all. I ordered a brown sugar latte. I didn't get a hint of brown sugar or creaminess really. I am a quiche lover, so I was very disappointed by the dry, flavorless quiche. Not a single spice was used. It tasted old and was spongy. I tipped 15% and my total was $15. So not worth it. I don't see myself giving it another shot, but if I desperately want coffee on my way back to Georgia after visiting Tallahassee again some day, I suppose I just might give them a chance to reverse my first impression. read more

I apologized for taking a moment on figuring out what to order, his response was "it's just coffee". He never smiled, was on is phone just very dismissive. So the only time I've had lucky goat coffee was from a complimentary coffee station at my vets office. I decided to go in person and I was not disappointed! I got the hot chai tea latte with oatmilk and I can confidently say that this is where I'll be getting my chai tea lattes from now on! I also got a blueberry muffin which is so fresh, light and fluffy. I spent the morning answering emails and taking in the atmosphere. I really love the vibe but they do get very busy and kind of loud early in the morning so having zoom calls may not be ideal.
