I think we walked into one of the friendliest hotels on earth. We've been hotelling (not a real…read moreword) over 50 years and the staff here stood out delightful. We were here two nights but we rarely travel light and no lift. A member of staff took our heavier cases up one flight for us. Our room was adequate, the in room tv is small by today's standards, but we didn't watch much. There's in - room tea and powdered coffee with biscuits. Bed comfy. I found the shower floor a bit slippy couldn't see a mat so I was careful. Breakfasts are made to order and staff are so welcoming. They go the extra mile with a smile. I did hear my first malaprop in many's a year that made me smile. I opted for the vegetarian brekky and on day one it was meant to come with beans but didn't. I didn't say as I didn't care. It did come with a potato hash brown. I couldn't figure if the object was made in - hotel or brought in frozen. I didn't intend to try to find out. Hash browns and quinoa are only fit for bins. So at day two breakfast I asked for the hash thing to be left off and the smiling, so friendly waitress said 'oh yes I agree with you...they are a required taste.' Wonderful. I did like the croissants and other things like the jams too. It had some faults and I'd like some better quality stuff at breakfast especially the tea. Didn't try the coffee. Oh and friends of ours there 2 nights also had their bichon frise dog with them and the staff spoiled her. 5 stars all the way.

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to go to the Ballymac, after hearing someone mention it the day previously. It is a hotel, and certainly looks impressive, and at times, opulent, both from the inside and out. In we went, to the restaurant/grill bar, and were shown to our seat. There was a good crowd there, mostly families with children out to enjoy their Sunday treat. We received our menus and had a look, after making our drink orders (if you order a soft drink, it's from a mixer bottle, one of my bugbears, if you have read any of my other reviews!) The menu: Nothing very adventurous on here, just your standard burgers, steaks, roast dinners and suchlike. I decided to go for the prawn open sandwich, while my partner went for the steak (as usual!) The food arrived promptly, and while it was nice enough, it was nothing unbelievably special. That said, I would certainly be happy enough to eat here again, maybe I'll just order something different next time!

Sunday carvery is good value washed down with a Guinness. The grounds are well looked after and tidy.

The location is perfect and within walking distance of a nice amount of stores and places to discover. I loved that I was able to see a beautiful church from my window and being able to open it slightly to allow the nice weather in was amazing as well! The hotel offers free water bottles (two) daily and the turn down service was amazing to have when we came back in after a night out having some amazing food. The prices for the hotel were pretty decent and the amenities I got from staying here were pretty nice as well! They offer breakfast buffet but it is on the higher end so I went to explore the local areas around the hotel! The place was super clean as well and everything was kept up to date and looking fresh! A wonderful hotel and one that I will be staying at again if I ever get the chance to visit Belfast again in the future!

I was greeted with such warmth and friendliness by the staff here. My room was very trendy looking and comfortable. I wish I stayed here longer, but I was only in town for a couple of days. Some nice perks: The staff will call drivers to come pick you up and take you where you want to go. There is an umbrella in the room, which I ended up using because it was raining outside. The downstairs bar and eatery was amazing as well. I enjoyed the food and drinks. I took full advantage of the delicious room service for breakfast. I want to bring my husband here when I return to Belfast! Exceptional experience.

When we arrived at the apartment I was a little grossed out at the elevator and hallway, but it got worse when I walked into the apartment. Huge cobweb over one of the beds. The bat h room had stains on wall, dented bathtub surround, and possibly mold around the bath/shower. I immediately started looking for other accommodations. I went to front desk who showed me two separate rooms which I didn't find much better than the apartment. The clerk was not about to lose the reservation so we ended up getting two executive rooms which were adjoining rooms. It was better than its other options there, but still had issues. Water stains on ceiling, tiles on shower stall missing, hole in bathroom wall (I stuffed it with tissue). Best if all I had numerous guests which came into my room and died. Moths were coming in from the air vent (I think). The only reason for 2 stars is the staff seemed very nice. I would not go there again. They did give me the same price for the 2 rooms which was much appreciated.

First time at the Maldron. Overall it was good. Nice looking lobby area…read more The room was small, really small. The room had two beds. But it was such a small room the beds were too close together and we had to walk sideways in between the beds. There was no dresser so we had to live out of a suitcase on the floor for a week. The room overall appeared clean except for the phone cord had a thick layer of dust in between the loops. (You could clearly see it.) The bathroom. The walk in shower was nice with a rain shower and separate handheld. The water temperature was super hot. Way too hot and room would fog up. Because the shower is open to the door, the door had major water damage and was swollen and couldn't be closed all the way. The door jam was also had water damage. Aesthetically unappealing. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good. The staff were super nice about food orders. Enjoyed the meals. Some of the staff (front desk, restaurant and housekeeping) were very nice and others not as much. But overall the nice staff outweighed the not as nice staff. Location is close to City Hall and Donegall Square which is what I wanted. And it was centrally located within walking distance to a lot in the area.
