A good coffee place for on campus options for UT students but I prefer off campus shops more. The WiFi is a bit spotty and I got dropped out of my zoom call a few times. The location is convenient and has a lot of natural lighting. It gets a bit loud and crowded which is typical for coffee shops on campus. It is not too bad in the morning but I would prefer quieter coffee shops later on in the day. For the coffee itself, I enjoyed it a lot. The caramel cold brew was tasty and sweet, and they thankfully didn't load it up with ice like other places. They have a punch card for a free drink after 10 purchases which is always fun. There are not as many outlets as I would have liked. They have unlimited water which is something random I like at my coffee shops. I will come back here if I ever feel too lazy to drive to another coffee shop but I stick my opinion that on campus coffee shops are too loud and rowdy for me. read more

Lucky Lab is a gem! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, you can tell that they care about their customers and want them to have a great experience. Their coffee is amazing too, they create their own custom drink menu and tailor it to the season which makes for an amazing cup of jo, weather it's hot or cold outside. They also do punch cards so you get rewarded for coming there often (which I totally do) by giving you a free drink after you buy 10. This place has some friendly staff. I got their iced white lavender latte which is a seasonal flavor and regular ice coffee which were just OK. Both of those came out to be about $8. It's in a cute little area. I would come back for convenience, but wouldn't go out of my way to get it. The cool thing I like is the different milks on tap...such a cool concept! read more

A new location just opened across from my work on 8th and Brazos, so I've visited almost daily for the past few months. Usually a woman is working, I think her name is Aubrey, and she's fantastic! Makes amazing coffee and she's super friendly. This location is also a great quiet work spot if I need to get out of the office for some quiet time. Honestly, until recently, I couldn't sing this places praises enough. New baristas have been at this location the last week or two, and they just don't make coffee like Aubrey does. The last several times I've gone my Americano has been burnt, which is ironic because their sign outside of the shop says "Southern Ground, not Seattle Burnt." I'm sure it's just the new people getting into the swing of things, but I hope the quality gets back to normal because I really loved this place, and I'm always more excited to support a local business than a big chain. But seriously, Aubrey is great, and I want her to come back to this location! read more

Such a great little coffee spot on campus! Came down to go to the co-op, wanted something local instead of Starbucks and found this gem. You can order at the window or walk in, there is a ton of outdoor seating and it's just so darn cute. The decor is very well done, pictures of dogs everywhere with clean white and gray decor. Lots of natural lighting- seems like a nice place to study. On to the good stuff... I had an iced coffee with sugar free vanilla- yumm. My friend had a coffee with the Longhorn brûlée syrup which was a citrus/caramel taste- and it's orange ;) We had the homemade pop tart....SHUT MY MOUTH. SO good. The strawberry filling is fresh and the icing (with sprinkles) was delish. You can see them making them fresh in the back which is kinda cool. We also had the Nutella banana croissant.......WOW. Perfectly flakey and warm. I'm not even a pastry girl but that was fantastic. The self serve milk dispensers look like little beer taps...adorable. The bathrooms have pictures of what I guess are the owners dogs with their names. And Miss Meyers soap. I saw them making fresh lunches in to go containers in the back...needless to say I'll be back for those. OH!! and they have dog treats and dog bowls everywhere. Staahhhp. read more

Really cute place and loved their specialty menu. Ordered a thai brew, which is an iced drink and is great. Also had a lavender cream latte and a chai latte. All the drinks were amazing, and tasted subtle and not heavy. They make their syrups in house, which was nice. Indoor area has a few bar stools, but there's a really large out door area where it looks like you can bring pets. Really nice staff! Overall it was a great coffee shop! read more

We came here early because it was open and sort of the on the way to Mount Bonnell. We each had a nice enough coffee and some breakfast tacos. Coffee and dogs. What's not to love? Came here at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. The outdoor space is great and I was the only one there that was hanging out. (Probably because everyone else was hungover and sleeping #college) I got an iced coffee and homemade poptart. Homemade you say? Yes. Yes I do. It was like Poptart went to college and got a job and got married. It had it's shit together. It was Apple strudel in a flakey buttery crust with cinnamon icing and crumb topping. The iced coffee was great. Smooth and strong. Perfect with the poptart. Save yourself from Starbucks and cross the street. Hit up Lucky Lab and enjoy! read more

This place is nothing spectacular - coffee is decent, but so is any other coffee chain. Prices are a little high (especially for the location). I would not go again, unless it was the only place open - their cold brew is sweet & weaker than most and more expensive. Oh, poop. I was really expecting something out of this one. Lucky Lab Coffee Co sits in Space Twenty Four behind Urban Outfitters. The food truck is beautifully crafted--all black with wood, a glass panel to showcase their "souvenirs", a very well laid out menu to the right side. It all looked so nice that I really wanted to like my drink (plus, it's gotten a bunch of four and five stars so far, so I thought it MUST be good). Plus, I was so excited because it was right on the edge of campus. I got a large iced vanilla latte, which is 20oz for $5. And for $5, I got a drink that tasted like watered down burnt coffee. With milk. There's no other way I know how to describe it, so I was obviously disappointed in my drink, to say the least. I knew it wouldn't taste good as soon as I saw it because it missed that creamy color you usually get from mixing espresso and milk. Instead, it looked like how you would get an iced coffee or latte at Starbucks. That's not a compliment. Maybe their regular black coffee is good or maybe I should have gotten a smaller cup... I love Lucky Lab. Because it is on my way to campus, it is a place I attend frequently. Their coffee is delicious - although occasionally, their hot drip coffee is a little watered down. What I like most about them is their seasonal menu by far. Every season, they have specific lattes, mochas, teas, and such with those season's flavors. They are beyond amazing - full of flavor and variety that you couldn't find anywhere else. My favorite was when they had their rose flavoring. That is the kind of coffee I dream about. Their location also is inside of the Urban Outfitters Space 24Twenty. So the courtyard is a perfect place to chill and relax with friends in the warm sun and shade. Check them out! (Psst. I'm not a huge coffee drinker (just when i need the caffeine). I have had black coffee (cold brew) from various places and this is definitely my favorite. I added some almond milk after I tasted the cold brew and I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee. The location on Guad also is beside a cute outdoor seating arrangement.
