Sweetwater coffee is sweet clean cool cafe downtown . The staff was warm and welcoming super helpful and accommodating. Just a quick walk from ut and the capital!! A great stop to recharge or start your day !

So, to be honest, I'd rate this place a 4.5, but since we don't have a point system, I'll give it a 4. It's conveniently located near the Texas capital, but you'll have to find parking unless you're a state employee, in which case you'll have some parking options nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and will gladly share their honest opinions on their recommendations. Lynn was particularly helpful and friendly to all customers. I ordered the breakfast biscuit egg and sausage sandwich. The biscuit was incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, which I appreciated. I also got the caramel ice dragon with hazelnut added. While I found the drink a bit too sweet for my taste, it was still delicious. I think this place is a great spot to work. They have Wi-Fi and tables, and there's even a courtyard patio area where you can sit.

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is a nice little coffee shop in walking distance from the Texas capitol. We stopped by for some afternoon coffee while we were in the area. They may get busy in the morning but in the afternoon, they were nearly empty. The shop itself is small but we were able to get a table to enjoy our blueberry scones and iced creme caramel lattes. They have a fun selection of signature coffee beverages, classics, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and desserts. The iced creme caramel was a rich, delicious beverage. The blueberry scone was good as well and not a bit dry (I find scones are either well made or dry--this one was well made). The service was friendly and efficient. Get to it!

The coffee is weak. I love the art ESP the cats. The staff is nice. I find it strange that we have to use a key with large objects attached to it just to use the bathroom as that's unsanitary AF.

Study Vibe in a corner you would not expect it to be! Has a Semi Starbucks interior look to it. Came here just to try the Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee is medium strong. Just needs condensed milk to make it authentic. Will be back to try the Afagato. Free 1 hour parking.

Left is: raspberry infused citrus tea, right: Honey latte

SO GOOODDDD and the customer service was amazing the workers there were so kind and personal. I would 100% go back! I got a tea and a latte and both were superb! The lighting in here is beautiful so me and my mom took some cute photos.

Great little coffee shop near the Capitol! I walked here from my hotel near 6th on Thursday morning and had a delicious cup of regular drip coffee and their pretzel club. YUM!!! That club hit the spot! I asked for a packet of Mayo which set it off. Prices are good, coffee and food options are plentiful and unique, ambience is cozy, baristas are awesome! The sweet lady that helped me was kind and upbeat. Parking may be a little tough but since I walked, I didn't notice. Seems like a great place to get work done in the city.

Located off 12th street, this cafe/coffee shop this place has many options to choose from ranging from coffees to teas to frozen drinks to refreshing beverages. Ordered a strong iced matcha latte with almond milk and cinnamon in it. Truthfully haven't ever been charged before when asking to make a matcha strong, so that was a little off for me, but if I did go back I would ask for a strong "extra matcha" again, because I don't think the drink would've been as good without it. Coffee drinks we got tasted okay, but it's nice they have so many options to choose from flavoring wise. The staff was kind in talking through all the options on the menu with us and helping to evaluate what to order. They let us know some of the non-dairy milk options were sweetened. The walls of the place are beautifully decorated with murals. Good for a coffee/tea/beverage fix.

Needed a spot close to UT Austin to get some work done in between meetings and ended up at Sweetwaters. Not a lot of convenient parking options in the area, but loads of seating inside and out - they have a cute outdoor patio and area out front with picnic tables as well. They also had speedy wifi which was awesome. Decent selection of food and snacks from breakfast sammies to pastries and large selection of coffee, tea, you name it. I had a matcha which had good flavor for the most part but was a little sweet for my liking. Service was also alright, there was no one in the shop and it still took quite some time to get my drink out. Overall not a bad spot for what I needed!

Oh, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, I adore you. This is the FIRST (not an exaggeration) time I had both a really good-tasting and energizing coffee that was well worth the price and size. I paid $8 for a quad/large French Vietnamese au Lait, and let me tell you, it was actually a large--like this coffee, it's almost as tall as my 16.9 FL OZ water bottle and 2.5x as wide. Plus, it also tastes amazing. Amazing service and ambiance. I love you, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea. Even though it is rather near UT, I would take a 30-minute bus ride for you. Stop by, you won't regret it!

Not sure if all the burgers are always cooked well-done, but that's how ours were made (and was never asked if I wanted otherwise). Also ordered a side of fried plantains that came with a small cup of ketchup. They were harder than I was expecting, and not to salted. Next time I think I'd just order the fries. Waited at the window to order for several minutes while the guy took a phone call, then had a hard time hearing him take my order since he was still on his call and had his mask on (pandemic issues...and maybe this is where he asked how I wanted my burgers cooked?? Who knows, couldn't hear him!). Then it took awhile for the order to come out. By the time I got the food and back to our table, our friends had already purchased and eaten their food from other food trucks, so that was a bummer. Good option if you're in the food truck park. Also, the payment machine was all in Spanish (for selecting tip, signature, etc) so you better brush up on your Spanish if you're paying by credit card! Handsome Dans has a sign directing you to the back where they are located. The vibe is true to a bait shop/diner it's casual with a rustic feel, they have a large covered patio adjacent to Stargazer bar. I highly suggest sitting outside if possible because the inside does get a bit claustrophobic and smokey when it's packed and they are smashing paninis on the press with no proper kitchen overhead vents. The type of greasy smoke you get when you are making super buttery sandwiches on a hot press. The sandwiches are ok but not something I would go out of my way to have ,our kids liked the hotdogs and Frito pies which were also kind of "upper class" gas station quality. Most of the stuff here is food that probably tastes way better after drinking several beers. It's like any normal sandwich you could make at home and toss in a panini press to be honest. Really good beers on tap and friendly staff who seemed to disappear to the back quite a bit and came back confused. They didn't know if they had already given me my food because I was ordering and paying for extra food after more people in our party arrived. They literally saw my food I already had on the table from my previous order and thought they gave me double of what I ordered hahaha. I can't make a judgment because I have no clue what they kept dispersing to the back for but can just say the confusion was real, LOL. All together if I had to come back it be because someone I knew wanted to try it. Otherwise for me it's a one and done. I got the pictures I stood next to a sign ,I had the Signiture sandwiches, now I'm moving on. I can say I've been there done that. I'm guessing that a college crowd or just being a single person who just wants to be amongst people that this is the type of lowkey place to go if you're not into the typical Longhorn hangouts. You stop in ,have some beers, eat a low budget ingredient expensive panini sandwich and chill till you have to call yourself a Waymo cause the beer is good and strong.
