Same day drop off service! I wish they accepted debit cards. Would be much easier.

Here's everything you objectively need to know:…read more - 12 small machines at $3.50 - 6 medium machines at $5.25 - 1 large machine at $8.50 - all machines have three soil settings, three cycle settings (normal, perm press, delicates) and three temp settings (hot, warm, cold) - 16 dryers at $0.25 per 5 minutes with three heat settings - cash only to reload your card: fives, tens, twenties NO singles - first time card purchase is $2.00 - by selecting the "medium" soil you can an additional 2 minutes of wash time for an extra $0.25 - hours have changed recently, see my photo for info - wash time is 27 minutes unless you opt for "medium" or "heavy" soil which will add additional time - there are only two chairs for seating - there is WiFi if you ask the owners nicely The prices are a little steep but this place is clean and the machines are new. I've never had an issue with disappearing socks or damaged delicates. Avoid peak hours and weekends. The large machine is great for towels, bedding etc. but it's almost always occupied with a wait. There is a folding area and laundry carts. The narrow space is unaccommodating. Everyone has something else to do and somewhere else to be so don't be surprised when your laundry is moved (especially from the medium and large washers) by a stranger if you're not back promptly to retrieve it.

Then proceeded to shrug it off and ignore me. Now I'm spending more money to wash the clothes again with the hopes the stains will come out. BEWARE: don't go to this laundry mat the staff is rude and people are constantly knocking into you so it's impossible to do laundry. Spend your money else where.

I recently completed a 4 day bike ride event and been away from home for almost a week. I almost ran out of clothes so I decided to come do laundry versus buying new clothes. I did not want to make my check bag heavier when going to the airport with new clothes. I do not mind cleaning my clothes as I am frequently in NYC so its okay if I am here for a few hours. Nestled in trendy Upper East Side of Manhattan is this normal laundry mat. I like the name they used. I am assuming they have multiple locations since this location is called number two. The inside is pretty typical of a laundromat and nothing special about it. This location requires you obtain a card and put credit on it for the washing and drying machines. There is no coin machines here at this site. It can be a pain trying to get change or putting coins in the machine. I like simply entering the card in and boom! Very smooth process. Now the cost is as follows. The small washing machines are $4 while the bigger ones are $7.50. Drying is 40 cents per 7 minutes. They sell a mini box of detergent and a mini box of dryer sheets for $1. The wash time took 25 minutes and the drying time took 30 minutes. I sit outside and people watch since it is in a cool neighborhood in NYC. I was not bored at all and in the end I was very happy that I had clean clothes finally that will last me the duration of my time here. I will be back here again ONLY if need to wash again.

This laundromat was easily the best option I walked into in my area. The machines are all clean and…read morerun quickly and the staff that has been there when I needed help was pretty straightforward but nice. The information I would want to know when I'm looking up self-service laundry is below: Cost: $5 to buy a refillable card that all the machines use. If you are going for the first time ask for a card to fill, then you can put money on it using cash or card on a machine in the back right by the desk. $4 per wash (cycles are 20 ish minutes). They have a large amount of washers which I've never seen fully occupied but they only have a few that are really big to accommodate sheets and towels. They have several soap options there if that is desirable. Washers lock while washing so you can leave and grab a coffee. 25 cents = 4 minutes on the dryer. I usually end up paying less than $2 to dry all of my clothing bc they're very quick and very large. This location also handles drop-off laundry, but I've never used it! Pros: very clean, good washer availability, locking washers, fast cycles Cons: card can be a bit of a hassle especially the first couple times you use it + it costs $5 the first time

I tried out 4 different companies and would always run into issues - clothes came back dirtier and with stains, I'd get charged extra for items I didn't even include in my order, they were often hours late in pick ups/drop-offs, or they simply wouldn't show up during the scheduled window of service, and customer service would be awful - one company straight up ghosted me. I gave each of them 3 chances before finding someone new. When I tell you that I'm SOOO happy that finally found Todd Layne Cleaners, that is an understatement! TLC has excellent customer service and are professional all around. Scheduling is a breeze, delivery guys are prompt in pick-up/drop-offs, AND my clothes are actually CLEAN. The fact that I can customize my washes is just a plus. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion. Thanks TLC for making my life so much easier!! I love you so much, I could cry. Love, your new & happy and soon-to-be-favorite customer :)

THINK TWICE BEFORE DRY CLEANING HERE…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share this experience. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.
