I love this place. I can find everything I need and more. They have many varieties of frozen fish, dumplings, sausages, and wrappers. So many snacks and this trip they had a lot of new stuff we haven't seen before. I went in for 1 thing and left $130 later and forgot what I went for lol. Lucky market was my first stop to search for Taiwanese rice vinegar. Unfortunately I left in defeat, but I did enjoy perusing the isles of spices and sauces. I was impressed with their produce selection especially. The parking lot was full right at opening on a Saturday, this is a hopping establishment. I just ordered their pork belly and their sausage links. The pork belly was COLD . I don't think their "heating lamps" are working. I've read that pork belly isn't supposed to sit out for more than an hour. This pork was clearly left out for more the recommended time. read more

The deli inside of Lucky Market on Arctic and International Airport Road has got to be the best deli food available in Anchorage. The prices are on par with other deli places yet the food is fresher and more diverse than the others. A definite hidden gem of Anchorage. This is my go to Asian grocery store if I don't want to make the drive all the way to New Sagaya. Their selection isn't as great but they have your main necessities. Only thing I don't like is that things are hit and miss. They don't always keep the same items in stock and they don't always carry the same brand of things, but that's understandable. They have a good selection of greens, frozen seafood items, frozen dim sum items, Asian condiments, lots of noodles (pho noodles, vermicelli noodles, glass noodles, etc), Asian snacks, and a wide variety of instant noodles! The owners are Chinese so occasionally you'll find Chinese items you can't find anywhere else in town like Lotus leaf. Their prices are also much more reasonable compared to New Sagaya pricing. read more

This place is in a very popular location. Very quick and easy lunch option. Also very good if you like to try different foods. Ended up getting the pork adobo and the lechon. Everything is cooked to perfection. The fried pork belly is very nice and crispy. The adobo is a great balance. I have visited other asian markets in Anchorage but I keep coming back to Lucky. Their selections of asian vegetables and ingredients are way better than their competitors. I've also notice that other stores charge more on vegetables ($.50 to $1 more). Other stores also don't stock complimentary ingredients - it's like Carr's Safeway selling peanut butter but not jelly. If you're cooking an authentic asian dish then Lucky Market has it all. Asian recipes that calls for weird ingredients, for example Quail eggs, shrimp paste, sticky corn, etc...they have it! Lucky also has a carryout/dine-in place next door that serve Chinese and Filipino food. I love their halo-halo (shaved ice with sweet bits) it's cheap and simple. read more

A relatively small Asian market, but has the essentials. Smaller than New Sagaya although there are some differences in inventory. For example, they sold red envelopes here, but not at Sagaya Vegetables seem fresh and reasonably priced. There was a line waiting for the green onions to come out! A large freezer section with fish and meats. No fresh meat or fish counter. All frozen. A few aisles of condiments, noodles, etc. and then back area with rice bags and larger items. Limited bakery options. Lucky Kitchen is in the back. A good option for Anchorage. read more

Service has been friendly over limited interactions. Prices range between good deals and okay. Most, if not all, of staff speak Cantonese if needed. Quite a few items that I hadn't seen at other Asian markets, but also quite a few things that they don't have that others do. Not somewhere where you can do all your grocery shopping, they seem to be dedicated to carrying a lot of seafood and frozen items (a few vegetarian items that I didn't think I was ever going to see outside Hong Kong) that others don't have, with limited dry goods. read more

Lucky Market is a cute little Asian market down the street from my house. I agree with Ketmany about the produce... there's not a whole lot of variety, but what they do have is VERY inexpensive by Anchorage standards. They have a pretty big selection of unusual frozen Asian fish products. There was tons of stuff I've never seen before. Even though the store is small, they have a fair amount of shelf-stable products, canned goods, snacks, etc and they are priced well. I would have expected it to be expensive and boutique-y, but all in all, Lucky Market was inexpensive. They have a wide variety of Asian cuisines represented, so their selection overall is limited. read more

I stopped by for a bite to eat, got the lucky burger. Although the patty itself appeared to have come from a frozen stock, the ingredients on the burger made it very good. A little spice, but not too much. I also think that the price tag was a bit high ($10), but it was on par with everything else in the area. Every time I drive by Lucky Market I actually yell "I LoVe You Lucky Market!". Just ask my friends and family, they will confirm my firm love for this local gem of a store. If I need anything for a comfort food, I go to Lucky Market first. They have it all. Lucky Kitchen in the back of the store has my undying attention and love as well. It is super fun to order and the staff can clearly explain ingredients if you have a particular dislike. If something is a special item-they tell you why. It is never because a particular food item is going bad or was on sale. Traditional and seasonal items are made. The food is so good it makes me wiggle like a little kid in my chair. I LOVE YOU LUCKY MARKET! I would recommend having a need before going to this store. We just relocated to Alaska. After shopping at many Asian grocery stores in Anchorage, Lucky Market is the one stop shop. It has almost everything we need for Vietnamese foods, from dried ingredients to vegetables. The price is fair comparing to many other grocery stores. Highly recommended! read more

Staff are nice, place is clean, most of the stuff are stocked on the shelves and freezers. For majority of the Asian sauces, freezer items, dried dessert powders and dried/fresh noodles I can find here. However because it is Alaska, some things are seasonal or is stocked upon availability. This place is close by me so it's easier for me to shop here if I'm craving veggies or Asian needs. However, I still have to shop other locations for some of the sauces, dried goods, or foods. The minor downfall is they don't label the prices on some of the items or the shelves so it's a mystery sometimes on how much your bill will cost at the register. read more

It is funny that the first thing Asians look for when moving to an area is an Asian market. This store has all the essentials--spices, fresh veggies, mushrooms, meats (mostly frozen), canned goods, noodles, fruits--yes, they even have my favorite green mangoes for $4.99 per lb (ouch!). Green mangoes in FL are $1.99/lb. Regardless, I was impressed with the quality. I'm sure the supply logistics cost more in Alaska and truly grateful of the variety in inventory. For an Asian grocery store Lucky Market is well organized and clean. They don't have the largest selection of fresh produce, but their frozen selections are expansive. It's a go to place when buying Asian specialty items. They even have cute little shopping carts and shopping basket that have little wheels on them! read more

Best place in town to get reef fish at a reasonable price. Red snapper and parrot fish is plentiful not to mention the fresh produce.
