I used to come here every two weeks for a fill or a new set. I stopped coming due to the fact I moved, so Once I moved back, I wanted to get my nails done again so I thought I'd go to my favorite spot in town. WRONG! This place's quality has SERIOUSLY gone down hill. I got a full set and two pedicures. It cost me 131$. She over charged me 20$ for something I didn't ask for, She didn't even ask my opinion and I didn't notice she was using fiberglass to set my nails until she was on my last one. I figured that they switched to only using that since they used to always ask which one I prefer. She filed them crooked and wasn't paying attention to most of it. While using the Dremel she cut me 3 times on the same finger after I told her the first time, "Ouch that hurt, please don't do that again". She only put 1 layer of polish on and I had to ask for more cause it was streaky. She then wasn't going to use a clear coat on my finished nails. I reminded her that I wanted a clear coat but before that I wanted a capital cursive D on my two ring fingers, She told me it would be 10$ extra when it used not cost at all, I told her no, just the clear coat was fine. She then wrote up my ticket and it was 45$ for my nails, when I asked why she told me it was cause I got fiberglass, I told her "Well I didn't know there was a choice, you didn't ask, you just went ahead and did it" I told her I would pay the 25$ it was supposed to be but not 45$ thats when she started telling me I would be banned from the store and they would call the cops. I paid the 131$ and left. I will NEVER EVER go there again. Kathy is the lady who did my nails and she needs to be fucking fired. I got them done last friday (08/30/19) and its now (09/08/2019) and 5 have just fallen off, not due to activity or anything but simply just gotten loose and fallen off. I didnt pay 45$ for that to happen. Over charged and shitty quality. read more

This used to be my go to spot for a pedicure and now I will never go back. This isn't because of one incident, but two. Both times I was cut during my pedicure because of the same woman being incredibly negligent. The second time I actually complained to the manager and she was apologetic and discounted my service. Went into Lucky Nails today with my friend and had a horrendous experience. Two minutes after walking in we were rushed to pick out a color and then asked several times if we were ready while we were still looking through the polishes. After picking a color the nail technician (who wasn't wearing a name tag) proceeded to scrape off my old gel polish set (not soak off) and filed my nails for 30 minutes to the point were my nail beds were bleeding, and I had to ask her to stop. I also asked her to add two more coats of paint because the color was no we're near the same color as the example nail. It was also suppose to be a tigers eye across all finger nails. My fingers are still aching 5 hours after my appointment and I will be removing them tomorrow before they ruin my nails further.. not worth the hassle or money to stop by this place. read more

THE WORST MANICURE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I got a pedicure and shellac manicure here. 1. My pedicure water was freezing cold! FREEZING. Really? It's 50 degrees outside and raining. When I told her it was cold she proceeded with rinsing my legs with boiling hot water. Wtf? If it wasn't bad enough she was on the phone the whole time! What should have taken 45 minutes took an hour and a half? I told her I had a party and needed to be out quickly. She reassured me she could do it. 2. Little did I know that by telling her I needed to be out quickly that she would take shortcuts and wipe her snot on her hands and proceed to touch me. Grab a tissue! 3. She said she wanted to give my feet a food scrub and I figured I needed it so why not? I can barely walk because she scrubbed my feet off into oblivion. She said I was lucky to get her because she's really good at removing cuticle. She did such a fantastic job that she cut off my flesh as well. I mean if you're going to hurt my feet you might as well cut it into a nice shape not jagged little pieces. She did the same on my fingers. 4. This is the worst shellac manicure I've ever gotten. It's bubbly, uneven and my whole nail bed is not covered. It's really thick and it's on my skin so these guys will probably be peeling or chipping off by tomorrow. All in all I spent almost 3 hours here, left with an hour and a half to get myself and multiple people ready for a party. Worst 55 bucks I've ever spent in my life. Crappy pedi, crappy mani, crappy paint job and stinging toes and fingers. I call this experience an epic fail. It's so unsanitary here that state board should be called. read more

I checked this place out last month and was really hoping for a great spot for my monthly mani/pedi's!!! But clearly, by the glaring one star rating I have boldly screaming above this review, that is not the case! In fact couldn't be further from it! To be pithy...they pack in too many people at once...they don't have enough employees to accommodate all the customers! So when you are getting your services they are so stressed out about the people waiting that when you're the one in the chair you can't even relax and enjoy yourself! During my manicure, they didn't tell me that my buff to a shine on my fingernails...that normally everywhere else is less expensive than polish~was actually $5 more! Now $5 isn't the end of the world...but to pay more for a service that typically costs me less everywhere else rubbed me the wrong way! They were pretty unapologetic about it and in fact, they were going on and on about how that is actually worth more!! Since they didn't tell me until we were finished, I had no choice but to pay the up charge...but I was annoyed. So this month I figured I would just get my manicure without the buff to a shine portion and get my pedicure. But as they exhibited last month, they are lame with appointment management!! So like I said in my tip: Don't bother having an appointment! I had an appt for 4:45...waited until 5:05 and it was clear I was no closer to my services than when I walked in! I finally just got up and walked out...they noticed but didn't seem to care! I wasn't thrilled with my visit last month, but it's close to home and was hoping for a better second visit!! Super pedicures!! For two years I have been going here on a regular basis since my last review. I just love this place. Yes, they all speak Vietnamese, but I've never felt they were talking about ME. They joke with each other in a very good natured way. The prices are very reasonable. The massage is one of the best I've had. The water is never (ever!) cold. Their hot towels feel wonderful at the end. Some of the women are better than others, I will admit, but now I know who I like and ask for them. Over all the experience is exactly what I want. I go when they aren't too busy and tell them exactly how much time I have and they either go nice and slow and relaxing or they can hurry a bit if I'm in a crunch. I've seen people treat these women horribly. I believe you get what you give in certain situations. read more

I visited my family in Auburn, CA for my cousin wedding. I came to this place to get my nails done. It was good experiences with Cathy. She done a good job on my nails. She is friendly, down to earth and of course my nails were pretty and stay really long (2 weeks old). I do not know why there are so many negative feedbacks, but this place and Cathy will be my first choice when I travel to Cali. The reason why I gave them 4 Stars because this place does not have a Bar and it is a bit small nail salon compare to the one I often go in Orlando. read more

I'm giving two stars because the pedicure I got was AMAZING, I got the adventure (highest tier) and it was perfect. However, when I went to get my nails done I wanted gel and had picked out my colors when a different woman started doing my nails. I thought she was saying they were out of the color I wanted so I had to pick a different one, no big deal. But instead of just a different gel color she started using a new gel method using dipping my fingers into powder. She didn't even inspect my nails before she started applying the powder and I had a small hangnail on my thumb and she clipped it and tore away so I started bleeding pretty hard. She then used her thumb nail and some cotton and pushed her thumbnail into my now open bleeding wound which did not feel good AT ALL. It was still bleeding but she kept painting my nails and then used some liquid and put it in my bleeding skin but when I asked what it was she couldn't even tell me what she had just put on my open wound. The worst part, because yes this gets worse, is she then dunked my bloody finger before I could stop her into a pot of powder that they will most likely use for other customers who use this new gel powder method. I know have blood set into the corner of my gel manicure that cost $35 and she didn't even clean up the edges or dust the powder off and then put the lotion on my arms, barely rubbed it in, and pulled my sleeves down over the wet lotion. It seemed as though this method is newer to this salon because several other manicurists came over and were just standing over me watching her do my nails. The powder itself creates a bumpy and horrid texture for a gel manicure, there's a huge divot in the polish oh my thumb. I'll never return to this salon and suggest you find somewhere else to go as well. read more

Well the guy who answers the phone who I will assume is the owner is not friendly at all. The place is plenty big and seems to be clean. The lady who serviced me was friendly enough but was not the most skilled pedicurist. I chose the Deluxe option and found it to be a bit light on the deluxe part. The spa chair I was placed in did not function completely. I did notice other pedicurists trying to push extras and higher end services. Ok back to my pedicure. The massage was pretty bad. I usually go with the most expensive option so that I can get a good massage as well. So over all I was disappointed in my experience. But I am here for a fire and my feet have been hashed while here so I am glad to have them worked on no matter how bad my overall experience was. read more

I made an appointment for a french pedicure and the woman who worked on me cut the corners of my nail so short that it exposed the nail bed. This revealed the true shape of my nail SQUARE! She decided to make them a new round shape whiched looked so bad because you could see so much of the nail bed. I ended up just going with black. To make matters worse my nails got messed up ( as in the polish wrinkled) at the dry and she just slapped some clear on there and called it good. An hour and a half later I just want to get out of there. I paid and left with an new nail shape, polished still in my skin and jacked up polish on two toes. My daughter and Granddaughter meet 3 relatives here to celebrate a 9 year olds birthday with pedicures and manicures on April 20th. After having their nails taken care of my daughter got her credit card out to pay and they told her they needed "cash only". My daughter doesn't use cash and when she asked where the sign was for "cash only" they mumbled and then excepted her credit card. If you want "cash only", then post it on your door! Don't lie and say your machine is not working. I guess you make more money when you ask for cash as you don't have to report it to the IRS. I'm only giving it two stars because Helen did a good job on my eyebrows, but Kathy who did my chrome acrylic nails was very rude and I asked for long nails and showed her a picture and she kept saying no an laughing saying it was too long, she also gave me a hard time when I wanted to do multiple colors and I just feel like when you're working in customer service you should do what the customer asks on their nails especially for how much money people pay to get their nails done. They do get very very busy so I would recommend going when they first open unless you want to wait; especially on Saturday and Sunday. Took my Granddaughter here for a new set of nails and what I hoped would be an enjoyable relaxing time to share with her. Probably the worst experience at a nail salon I have ever had. My acrylic fill did not cover the nail properly and there are gaps around the nail which make it look as though they are press on nails. My Granddaughter was steered towards the most expensive set of nails which she did not want, given the color and product she did not want and rushed through the experience. When she spoke up about wanting something different, the Technician nodded, but ignored her. The nails were not filed properly, not shaped the way she wanted and worst of all she was left with hardened clumps of gel on the backs of the nail. What a disappointing experience. read more

I used to come here religiously. Today I came in as they are open on Sundays. I had my car keys, my cell phone, and my debit card. I don't have cash, and I don't use checks (ever, I buy money orders for bills that require checks). I had my payment method visible on the table the duration of my stay. Once she was DONE, she spoke up and asked if I had cash or a checkbook. I said "no, this is everything I have on me today, don't you take cards?" She said "yes, but the card machine doesn't work during the mornings." I call bullsh**. I went to Lucky Nails for the first time the other day. After reading the reviews I figured they were the best in town, I guess I just had bad luck. The girl I got was named Tina. She was very nice and took her time but she seemed new. I've been getting my nails done for years and she had troubles with measuring the acrylic out and matching the nail sizes. One hand is longer than the other and some nails are ALOT more round than others when I asked for square round with a little more square look to them. As well as you can still see some of the pink glitter from my previous set that had been off for about a month. Considering she seemed new I will be going back but I hope that I get a better experience next time and hope it was just because she was still learning. read more

I went in today and did not have to great of an experience. I have a pretty deep bleeding gash on my finger tip from a NAIL FILE. Im sorry but you dont cut someones finger open with a nail file on accident. I also pointed this out and she didn't seem to care. The first couple times I went in they were amazing and did a great job! I honestly wish I could give a better review. The last two times I have gone to the same girl to get my acrylic nails. The first time she did them she really did a great job they were exactly what I wanted almost no flaws. Today I went in to get a brand new full set she rushed through it did a horrible job some of my nails are crooked and the acrylic was laid extremely unevenly. She cut my fingers with the dremal. This is my favorite nail salon in the area. The nail technicians are friendlier than most nail salons and they make sure the equipment/pedicure tubs they are using are sterile, which I appreciate. I've been coming here regularly for about two years. It's usually busy (and good for them), but always spotlessly clean, good equipment, nice non-annoying music, a restroom that doesn't make you question your Hep C status and all of the ladies are pleasant and proficient. I've never been pushed on upgrades, ever. They ask me what I want, I tell them, they tell me the extra cost if it's something special (like a particular design on toes) and that's that. I've never been clipped or over-done in any way, they are always accommodating if I'd like the spa water a little warmer or cooler, and they're great about squeezing me in if/when I show up without an appointment. I'm a veterinarian in private practice, I don't always know when I'll be finished with work, but I try to show up when they aren't as likely to be overwhelmed. They are always welcoming, but (hey, here's a revolutionary idea), I'm nice, polite and I tip really well ($15 for acrylic fill and gel pedicure, $20 if they clearly went the extra mile to squish me in). Lo and behold, they go out of their way, will stay open past closing time, and they remember my name and how I like my nails and toes done. A couple extra bucks well spent even when I can make a regular appointment, and very very well spent if I'm overdue to get my nails cleaned up, couldn't make an appointment ahead of time and got taken care of by these nice ladies anyway. read more

The lady next tO me was very adamant that she had barely enough money and this was a big treat for her. When she was asked to pay she got visibly upset. She said to me "now I won't have enough money for my cards " This is a service industry. people running them learn both customer service is very important. The place is very clean looking and they had lots of polish to choose from. They were very busy, which to me is a good sign.
