We stuck to the basics and it actually was pretty tasty. Like an upgraded Panda Express. The second time we tried to expand beyond the basics and we got burned. I have eaten food here very but today I'm not pleased with the quality of any of my dishes. I asked for general so's a little bit on the spicy side, it was not and it was very tough. The Mongolian beef had always been one of my favorites but not today, no flavor and way more onions than beef. Plus the beef was a bit chewy but in the past it has always been tender. The chicken and broccoli did not have much chicken but plenty of broccoli I will say the broccoli was cooked perfectly but I will give this place one more chance to improve. Lucky Panda is such a solid little Chinese restaurant and deserving of a much better overall rating than the 3.5 average that it has at the time I'm writing this. We went in for a late lunch one day and were seated quickly. Reasonably priced. Everything we ordered came out quickly and was delicious (sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, egg roll). We didn't feel like dining out so we drove here and placed an order. They have a plexiglass partition out and hand sanitizer available. We placed the order and it was ready whim 15 minutes. We took it back to the hotel and it was still hot. The soup was so hot we couldn't eat it for awhile. The food is basic Chinese. We got combination dinners. I ordered the Shrimp with lobster sauce with fried rice and my boyfriend got the chicken curry with white rice. Both came with egg rolls which were good. When in Myrtle Beach, we use Lucky Panda. The scallop meal for my wife was acceptable. I ordered General Tso's Chicken combination. The chicken in their sauce is decent, nothing to write home about, however. My issue is with the rice. They serve a sticky brown rice with a few peas and finely diced carrot in it. I would MUCH prefer having roast pork fried rice, which was not offered. The rice issue is why I gave the score I did. The young lady who takes the order and brings it out is very pleasant, a great thing considering the youth in other retail establishments do not work well with customers. read more

My husband and I have eaten at the Lucky Panda restaurant many times and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE this restaurant. The waitresses are always warm and friendly, the service is efficient, and MOST IMPORTANTLY THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL WITH MANY CREATIVE DISHES FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE. My all-time favorite meal here is the Triple Delight, which is delicious and certainly lives up to its name! Although we live bout 20 miles away in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, the trip is more than worth the drive to this outstanding and wonderful restaurant. My server brought me crispy noodles, unbidden and unasked for. That's lucky, I think. My server had sticky shoes too. They made a sticky noise on the floor with every step. I just shuffle along in flip flops mostly. My footwear didn't make a sticky noise like hers did. My server was also pregnant and I'm not. More good luck all around, I think. I ordered steamed pork dumplings and they were plump, juicy, and tasty and maybe about 2 more than I really wanted, but I was feeling lucky. Maybe just a tad too juicy and plump? Maybe they could have been crisped up some. But then they would be potstickers. Oh, this Chinese food stuff is confusing sometimes. Then Sichuan chicken because I like spicy food. And I like little baby corns. My server brought me some sriracha sauce in a little dish upon request and she asked, "Not hot enough?" Pandas have 5 fingers AND a thumb and the extra digit seems superfluous to me, but apparently its necessary for what they do with bamboo in the wild (in the Sichuan province, mostly) and I guess that's how I am with food and hot sauce. I just need that extra digit sometimes to hold onto the taste longer, I think. Pandas also poop up to 70 times a day and I don't know if that's lucky or unlucky but I probably should stop with the panda comparisons. I liked the Lucky Panda because I felt like they liked me too. Place is clean, and service is usually very good. Food is decent but portions have gotten smaller. Only one size of entree for carry out, almost every other Chinese restaurant we have ever been to had a small and large carryout size. So now we have to get 2 entree orders for around $20 instead of a large order for around $12 that 2 of us could share. Been coming to MB for over 40 years and have seen lots of changes. It amazes me how much more expensive eating out is here compared to home. Not only are prices about 10-15% higher but most of the restaurants now charge a fee to use a card and some even have a service charge on top of that. I guess they feel like people on vacation will pay whatever it takes. read more

We have been going to Lucky panda since we moved here in 2018 and we always enjoyed it. However, tonight will be our last time going to that establishment. Over the years the portion sizes got smaller, the size of the eggrolls were almost cut in half. The beef lo mein only had four pieces of beef and plenty of lo mein. The sweet-and-sour chicken was all dough and for the second time in a row, they never gave us our sweet-and-sour sauce. It is really a shame that their quality and quantity of the food has gone down over the years. We always used to recommend this restaurant to others that were asking and inquiring about a good Chinese restaurant in the North Myrtle Beach area, however I will no longer be making that recommendation. read more

I was sooooo excited that this place delivers! Delivery was quick - within 30 minutes. We ordered curry chicken and chicken teriyaki. I had hot and sour soup and stir fried shrimp and veggies with white rice. The meal presentation was way above average for a Chinese restaurant! The food was delicious too, my veggies and large shrimp were cooked perfectly. My husband had an egg roll and kung pao chicken with fried rice. He enjoyed his as well.
