We figured we may get a call stating that he was too restless to groom, so we weren't surprised when we got a call. When we went to go pick him up we were told he was aggressive. I apologized profusely as he's never been aggressive before. I was told this was "not a fear based aggression", and that we need to get a trainer. I was so upset and embarrassed to hear this about my dog. When we got back to the car he was shaking, which I've never seen him do, and we noticed his back paws each had a nail that was torn off and bleeding. We have a trainer and I explained to her exactly what I was told and she assured me that my dog has never shown any signs of aggression with her, fear based or otherwise. Her professional opinion was that something triggered him and scared him and he was pushed too far. It felt as though they wrote him off as a bad dog and that was that. They were not even aware that he was bleeding when I called back later. I'm sure he did that himself by accident, but there was blood in our car and in our house, so it's concerning they didn't even notice.

The vet said that Prada, my bunny, was given anesthesia and was doing fine. Then all of a sudden her heart rate was going down and then went flat. My poor bunny had passed away before the surgery had even begun. I am utterly upset and devastated. The vet mentioned that this has not happened in a very long time. Although they did offer for us to go see her and to be cremated, I am still frustrated that this happened. If you plan to get your bunny spayed, please do all of the research in the world.

That is, until we met Nick. He was absolutely incredible with Sadie and changed both Sadie's and our lives for the better. Within a few minutes he recognized her lack of confidence. After a few short weeks we went to pick up our girl and the change in her was amazing! She now has more confidence and is less anxious, her barking has subsided, she has great recall and we now walk together with loose leash heel. During her stay with Nick, he would send daily pictures, videos and updates keeping us connected to her and their progress together. He is excited every time I pull into the driveway and he comes home tired. Bill also comes to the house for dog training. I find his advice very helpful. After only a few short weeks, he is more behaved and has not chewed on the furniture (fingers crossed). We continue to work on social interactions with humans, as our dog lives to greet everyone.
