This updated review is specifically for the owner. What a loving girl she is. Our boy did in fact have an infection but with no hesitation Maddie offered to pay all of our boy's vet bills and assured us that she would investigate how and why this happened. She has also continuously checked in with our family to see how he's doing and that's something you don't find. She has most certainly proved to us that she's the exact kind of person you want your fur babies to stay with! We were greeted at the car when I was dropping my dog, Bandit, off for his first stay. Super friendly staff. Bandit seemed to really like being there. He was taken right out to play with the daycare dogs. Very attentive people, connected through email as I was traveling out of the country. Sent pictures of him. Can not recommend any higher. Everyone that works there seems to love dogs and that is so important. I have not tried any of their other services, but they are a full service facility. Prices are extremely reasonable. They even washed his doggie bed that I left for him!!! Will be using again, for sure. read more

Love this place! My dogs go to daycare every day. I can tell that they take care of my babies very well. Because my dogs wake me up in the morning and telling me that they are ready to go. When I pick them up, their faces look like they are not ready to come home. After we come home, they just sleep til next morning. I guess they play hard and tired. My large breed puppy becomes crazy and have to deal with her only on Sunday because daycare service close on Sunday. I'm so glad that I found great day care place!! read more

Nothing special, ok service. There have been different owners, and usually a faint to strong weed smell when you are in there.

We have a 7 month old German Shepard as with many puppies she tends to bark at people she doesn't know. We got told that they think she is an aggressive, out of control dog, who lunges at people to try to bite them and she needs to be muzzled. This is the same dog that spends time with 6 month old kids letting them grab snd hit her and nothing happening. We got told that she is simply to big of a dog to be a energetic puppy who's still in training. They said they can not handle her. So If you have a puppy of a larger breed I would stay away from here as they told us they can't handle larger breed dogs. read more

I brought my dog here for daycare and before the end of the day my dog was hurt. I went to go pick up my dog and I wanted to know why she was bleeding and the staff said that it was just rough play. It look like a piece of her skin was scraped off and I was not very happy. Another time I came in and they had a dog loose and they were trying to catch the dog. Another time they we're walking my dog on the leash and somehow my dog got out and ran into the parking lot I was mortified. I did speak with the owner and he denied any of these things ( I saw it with my own eyes when I had got into my car to drive off I saw my dog run into the parking lot). I have pictures to prove that my dog was injured while under their care! Of course the owner had treated me horribly and denied everything that happened even though he is the one that point the ointment to stop my dog from bleeding. read more

He listened to my requests and did a beautiful job on my pup. Also the prices are competitive and not to mention the place is well maintained and my dog comes home smelling clean and happy. I have used this business many times now, once with the previous owner (Maddie) and the rest with the new staff, and all visits have been positive. My dog just loves to go there and play with the other animals and staff. Everyone that I have seen that interacts with my pup seem to truly be animal people who enjoy their work. The new staff has been better from a business standpoint, as before it could be difficult to get someone to answer a phone or email, but the new owners seem to have made this a priority as that has shown marked improvement. Only downside is no outside play area, which I understand is beyond their control. read more

Excellent service and wonderful employees. I bring my two dogs here for daycare when I know I'm going to have a long day at work. They are extremely convenient and very caring. They got to know both of my dogs and me very quickly and always know our names. The facility was nice and clean when I got to inspect it but it is a bit on the small side. Yes, there are facilities with huge outdoor pastures but you're also going to pay an arm and a leg for those. My dogs? They don't care where they are...they just want to play with other dogs and people and get a lot of attention, and that is what they get here. I bought a pack of daycare passes to save some extra dollars and they were one of the better deals in town. There was a place with a better price and facility but they weren't located near the freeway so that was a dealbreaker for me. This place also offers grooming. The groomer is a positively lovely girl. The price is solid and she does a good job. I'm super particular about how my poodle is groomed though so she isn't my regular groomer, but if I had any other breed I'd feel confident taking them here. I was running a few minutes late one night and they were able to accommodate me so that I could get my dogs just a few minutes after closing time and I really appreciate them being able to take care of me like that. I highly recommend this place as a daycare, boarding, or grooming facility for your pups. My dogs practically leap out of the car when we pull into the parking lot here....they love it. read more

I just want to say that I LOVE this place! We recently boarded our old, diabetic dog while we went out of town. Unfortunately, she had a seizure and passed while we were out of town. I want to be clear that this was no fault of Lucky Paws. It was just her time. However, the owner of Lucky Paws was absolutely amazing and kept us up to date on everything that was going on with her at the vet's office. She was compassionate and went above and beyond in our time of grief and need. We felt absolutely horrible that we couldn't be there with our dog in her final hours, but Maddie was with her til the very end, comforting her and us as well. From the bottom of our hearts, we really appreciate your kindness for Rosie. You have no idea how much easier you made this on us since we couldn't be there ourselves. We now have rescued a new dog, and I won't take him anywhere else for grooming, daycare or boarding, except Lucky Paws!! read more

The new owner and staff at Lucky Paws ARE as good as it gets in the pet care industry. I have never experienced more care and love for my dogs. Madi has been such an amazing part of our family. She has gone above and beyond and always checks on Oliver. I'm so sad she's leaving. The other workers have been amazing. I met the new owners today and I wasn't impressed. I got a bad feeling and didn't approve of the way they interacted with my dog Oliver. I used this facility one time. When you walk in te receptionist/dog carer Was burning incense to cover the smell. I wanted to see where the dogs were and she didn't want me to. I opened the door and the stench was overwhelming! They had a small area and a bigger area. Both were jammed full. I will report then because it's no place to leave a pet. read more

Shampoo want thoroughly washed out and caused her skin to dry out. I had to rinse my dog again. I also had to brush her out again like she never received a deshedding blowout to get out all the excess hair. The one thing they did right was trimming her nails. read more

I chose to try this spot out based on the mostly positive Yelp reviews, but it was a terrible experience for us. In fairness, I attempted to contact the owner twice to discuss my concerns prior to leaving a negative review, but he was never available and I never received a return call despite leaving my number with whomever answered the phone each time. I took my small Yorkie here to be groomed in January. Upon picking her up, first they stated that because her coat was so oily they could not get her fur as clean as they should. She stated that they had even bathed her in Dawn. I thought this was weird since no previous groomer had ever had an issue, nor do we have an issue when she is bathed at home. The grooming itself was just ok. Her hair wasn't cut evenly, but it wasn't horrible. Two of her nails (on different paws) did not get clipped. They are cheaper than other places around, so I guess you get what you pay for. All that being said, it wasn't a bad grooming job - just not great. I could have dealt with that, but what happened next is my issue. A few days later, my dog got extremely sick. Wheezing, lethargic, not eating. We took her to the vet to find that she had kennel cough - mind you she was current on her vaccinations including kennel cough and this was the only place she'd been outside of our home. She was very sick and required two vet visits to get different medications to knock it out. She was so sick that I had to leave her with family during the day because I was afraid to leave her at home alone while we were gone to work/ school. The very disturbing part is that Lucky Paws Pet Lodge NEVER requested my dog's shot records which tells me that there are probably multiple dogs there who's vaccinations have not been confirmed to be up-to-date. This was our first visit there so there was nothing on file ahead of time. Clearly others are pleased with the service they receive, but if you go here just know that your dog could be exposed to dogs who may or may not be up to date on their shots since they are not requesting records as they should be. read more

I looked at this place for boarding my dogs but left feeling extremely upset and bad for all the dogs in their care. I actually cried on my way home thinking of them there. The conditions were terrible with several dogs forced to lay in their own feces due to cramped kennels that hadn't been cleaned. There were several dog feces and urine in the group play area. The smell was overbearing. This place should be shut down ASAP. Please don't send your dogs here. read more

We took our dog delilah there for boarding this weekend while we were out of town. This was her first time being boarded so we were nervous of how she would do. We also had her groomed while she was there. I had done some price checks at other boarders in town and lucky paws was the most reasonable. There grooming fees were good too. We took our 140 pound lab in for a bath for the first time at Lucky Paws today. They were very quick to answer when we called to check on pricing and appointments. The staff were super friendly when we arrived with Babe. They all greeted us and her including the new owner. She was finished in a couple of hours. They brought her out to us as we walked in the door. The staff were very sweet to Babe. The only issue is that she isn't putting much weight on her front paws since they clipped her nails. We have her nails clipped monthly at the vet and have never had this problem. Otherwise, we hope to take Babe back many times in the future. read more
