I recently visited Lucky pause pet resort with my 10 month old golden retriever for their outdoor pool and play area. We had an amazing time and Luna loved playing in the dog pool. It was her first time swimming in a pool and it was great as she could walk in and explore the pool without having to be in the deep end right away. We had an hour time frame so there weren't too many dogs there within her hour which was nice for an uncrowded experience. We can't wait to go back to the pool later later this summer!

My dogs absolutely love going to daycare and the dog park here! Each day they arrive they rush to the door excited to play with their friends! They have indoor and outdoor facilities and thenout door dog park is large with a nice soggy pool my boys love! The staff has always been nice to me and my babies and I find them to be very thorough. I am glad they check vet records, I don't need my dogs coming home sick, so I appreciate them being sticklers on this. Daycare is 270$ for 10 visits for all day. And the dog park is 10$ and you can stay as long as you like. My boys will continue to come here and have a blast doing so! Thanks for taking good care of them when I'm working!

I took my puppy swimming for her first birthday yesterday. We both had the best time. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Grace loved the pool so much! My heart was full of happiness watching my girl having the best day ever. Thank you so much!

Excellent, caring staff. I take my puppy to daycare 2 to 3-days per week. They are like a second family! She gets excited every time we pull into their parking lot. I even get a report card to let me know who she played with and what toys she favored. In the hot summer months, I know she will be playing in the zero-grade entry pool most of the day! Did I mention they have nap time for the dogs? You've got to check this place out; they totally take the guilt out of leaving your dog for a day or a weekend!

Unbeknownst to me Lucy had a birthday party with the daycare staff and her K9 friends. Thank you Lucky Paws!!

The staff are huge snobs and act as if you are bringing your pet to the Beverlyhills Ritz . They are not worth your money .

VCA Wexford Animal Hospital - Waiting area for cats

I would prefer that this animal hospital have more evening and weekend hours, but we did get evening or Friday appointments that worked for us. For both appointments, the front staff quickly checked us in, and we used the separate waiting area for cats. The vet techs started our appointments on time. I appreciated that they had familiarized themselves with my cat's previous medical records. For the first appointment, the veterinarian arrived several minutes late, but she was very knowledgeable and nice (even after my cat when being palpated peed on the table!). She did a physical exam on Nika, and we discussed Nika's history of kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, anemia, and UTIs. The vet said that many kidney-disease cats need longer than 2 weeks of antibiotics, which is true and something that my previous veterinarians never said. She recommended a supplement to prevent UTIs. Later, another veterinarian here promptly ordered a refill for a thyroid medication for Nika. Employees at the front desk promptly rang up the fees for the exam, supplement, blood tests, and fecal test. I thought that the prices were OK. A few days later, Dr. Santabene called me about the test results. We spoke for about 16 minutes, and she communicated very thoroughly and politely. Nika's kidney labs were much worse than before, so we increased her lactated ringers (LR) and added a phosphate binder that was ready for pickup hours later. For my upcoming international vacation, Dr. Santabene was still willing to keep Nika at VCA Wexford's pet hotel where the vet techs would administer 100 mLs of lactated ringers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and 150 mLs on Mondays and Fridays (because vet techs do not work on weekends). The employees at the pet hotel took a while to tell me accurate prices, but the final estimate was $1,324.30 - $1,374.30 (which included $344 for 10 fluid therapies, $86 for 10 biohazard waste disposals, $244 for 10 technician office visits, and $650-700 for 13-14 nights in a nice-looking feline boarding condo). However, days later Nika began to show serious symptoms, so I had her euthanized by a different veterinarian. Weeks later Dr. Santabene mailed a handwritten sympathy card to me. For my next pet who has a medical diagnosis, I will probably bring her/him here, because I think that Dr. Santabene has knowledge and empathy that many other vets lack.

They are empathetic when necessary starting with the front desk when you walk in. Dr. Dymun and her tech Jessica are both very good listeners. They ask owners lots of questions to help with a diagnosis. My dog gets a more thorough exam than I do at my doctor-(I'm not complaining as I really hate going to the doctor). Dr. Dymun emailed me several times to check on my pet's progress and offered suggestions to aid her recovery. It was easy to schedule an appointment and I can't complain about fees as I feel my pet received extraordinary care.

He's rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional -- yelling at paying customers and making nasty, negative comments as if he's doing everyone a favor. I personally witnessed him at a pet store speaking to customers in a humiliating and disrespectful way. He also crammed around 20 dogs into a small store filled with toys and treats, which caused a fight to break out -- and he acted like he was above it all. The whole scene was chaotic, dangerous, and completely irresponsible. At one point, I even asked another person in the class who the trainer was because I couldn't believe this man's behavior. It was shocking and uncomfortable to watch. This owner clearly doesn't know how to train dogs or communicate with humans. So I was incredibly disappointed by the new dog park assessment process--both in how it was designed and how it was handled. What was supposed to be a 15-minute check-in turned into nearly an hour of being talked down to in a way that felt unnecessarily condescending. After years of responsible membership, I expected to be treated with a little more respect--not like I was part of the problem. Even more frustrating is that Misty Pines knows exactly which client incident prompted this change. Why penalize the entire community of responsible owners with a blanket policy, instead of addressing the issue directly? This used to be a beloved space for me and my dogs--a true "third place." But the tone, the policy shift, and the disregard for loyal clients have made it clear that we're no longer welcome. I've returned my passes ($837 worth), and I won't be coming back. --Carmelo H., Pittsburgh
