We weren't prepared for a boat trip and they made sure we had the best time, bringing us a cooler and towels. We also were going to bring some elderly and disabled family on board and they had accommodation for them as well. They also told us about the history of the area and they made great restaurant recommendations. If you don't book with them you are making a huge mistake. In retrospect (from reading the other Yelp reviews) we came out better than a few others. If you are seeking a company that puts customer satisfaction and possibly safety first, I ADVISE YOU TO READ ALL YELP REVIEWS BEFORE booking chartered trips and familiarize yourself with all terms - this applies to any and all business you are considering. We expected some rocking in the water on the trip out; however, we never anticipated there would be what felt like real safety issues, bouncing so hard that it threw some of us off the seats and caused those standing to grab anything within reach to hang on. It slowed the boat down to four knots and caused the crew to inform us that at that speed, it would take us another two hours to reach our fishing spot and this was after already traveling for an hour. We were asked if we wanted to continue or turn around and possibly reschedule for another time. No promises were made by the crew, but the rescheduling idea was introduced by them. WE chose to turn around. Upon docking & preparing to exit the boat, we were given an envelope containing $320. We'd paid $1,960.00. After several voicemails left on the return trip in, my call was returned. After a discussion of events, a company representative talked with the crew and decided to refund an additional $580.00, bringing refund total to $900.00. He stated he had expenses - boat, fuel, crew (? - sign on boat stated crew works for tips so we gave them $200.00 for the hour - hour and half we were on the boat). We boarded the boat "assuming" businesses that provide services which are affected by weather conditions monitor all conditions and would have and use the knowledge and expertise to make a determination on whether a trip out was feasible or not, and if the safety, wellbeing of the crew and passengers and the satisfaction of customers was placed first, the engine would never be started; therefore, there would be no expenses. Again, this was/is MY/OUR assumption. After the fact, family members searched Yelp reviews and discovered it appears this was not the first and only such incident. Additional Note: We were also "gifted" two vouchers for a half day charter. Our group of 25 might have to draw straws to see who gets to add those to their portion of the refund. I'd asked for 16 so our local family could use that and the out of state family could receive the majority of their initial payment. Well, Two is better than ZERO!

I love how everything is included before booking so you don't need to worry about dragging your own booze onto the boat. They take complimentary photo which is pretty nice as well so you can kick back and relax and they catch all the action. There is a ton of space and they welcome people brining their own food if they choose to do so! The tour was three hours and Pontiki brings you through the intercostal waterway and then brings you to one of the island beaches in the marina for an hour. There beach was lovely and there was a really nice sandbar further down the island that my husband and I decided to enjoy. It was about a 10 minute walk from the boat and one of the workers brought us beer all the way over there to enjoy! Great music and they were happy to take requests. Beer pong was also a ton of fun! I was talking to one of the workers and they constantly host different events throughout the week. Great for groups or even couples looking to let loose! We will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying I've been on the Hurricane Fleet at least 7-8 times over the past two years…read more We always take friends and family when they come to town because, even though dolphin sightings are never guaranteed, the ride itself has usually been worth the $31. That being said, I hesitate to post this because I truly do love supporting local businesses. But with tourist season starting, I think it's important to share an honest experience. The first few times we went out with this company, it was amazing. We followed the shrimp boats and not only saw tons of dolphins, but also got a close-up look at the shrimp boats pulling in shrimp and other sea creatures. They would even bring a few things onboard for the kids (and adults) to see before tossing them back. It made the experience feel really unique and memorable. However, ever since the shrimp boat has been out of commission (probably the last year and a half), we honestly haven't seen dolphins the last 3-4 trips. I completely understand there are never guarantees with wildlife, but it has been a little disappointing. It's still a nice boat ride for the cost -- I would just suggest not getting your kids too excited about dolphins and making sure they understand sightings are never guaranteed. Yesterday, we went on the sunset cruise, and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences we've had. I understand the policy is that the cruise runs rain or shine, but the ocean conditions were rough enough that I truly don't think they should have taken people out. There were young children onboard, people getting sick, and several passengers who were visibly scared as we went through large swells offshore. As someone who has been on this boat many times, even I was uncomfortable. If it had been my first trip, I honestly would have been terrified. Considering the boat had already gone out multiple times earlier that day, I feel like they should have recognized the conditions were not ideal -- especially knowing there was little chance of seeing dolphins in waters that rough. I just think better judgment should have been used. If you're visiting for a family vacation, I would strongly recommend checking ocean conditions beforehand, because I'm not sure cancellations are considered unless absolutely necessary.
