When Kestrel was a puppy, Tabitha helped prepare me for the basics- everything from potty training to socialization & general obedience. Having someone help guide me through the process made the "puppy stage" so much more manageable than I had anticipated it would be! As Kestrel grew out of puppyhood, she developed some poor social skills around other dogs- resource guarding me & showing signs of reactivity around other dogs. This caused a spike in my anxiety & was a major challenge for me, but Tabitha refused to give up on us. She gave me all the tools I needed to overcome my anxiety & teach Kestrel better manners around new dogs (we're not completely over that obstacle yet, but we are seeing major improvements). When I went out of town for two weeks over the summer, I trusted Tabitha to take care of my best friend knowing that she would get the same level of care & attention she gets at home, with the added bonus of social play time! I continue to take courses with Tabitha & the Coachella Valley Dog Club because I love my dog so so much & I want to continue giving her the tools she needs to thrive. We recently started scentwork training, & look forward to eventually taking agility courses as well! Kestrel has a small handful of people who she loves with an intensity that she can't contain & Tabitha is one of those people. We count on Coachella Valley Dog Club for obedience, socialization, specialty training, boarding, & even guidance with diet & supplements. Walks became stressful, and she would lunge at dogs even from a distance. At home, Olive is a true "love bug," so we knew she was scared--not a bad dog--and needed the right guidance. Before we ever met Brooke, we received a recommendation for another dog trainer. That person told us Olive would likely be untrainable, explaining that many dogs attacked at dog parks can never be rehabilitated enough to become non-aggressive. They essentially gave up on her before even meeting her. I told them I would never give up on Olive and that I would find someone who could help her. We were so blessed to receive a referral to Brooke at Majestic Dog Training. After just a few sessions, Olive has made tremendous progress. Her reactivity and anxiety have significantly decreased, and she is learning to stay calm and look to us for direction when she sees another dog. She is happier, calmer, and more confident--and so are we! Brooke's approach combines positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, calmness, support, and love. She is incredibly positive, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about dogs. She worked with our schedule, was flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, and made the entire training process easy and comfortable for us. She was a bit overgrown as her last groomer broke her arm. I contacted Veronica about the groom looking messy and overgrown after 2 weeks and requested the cut shorter. She shared my concern with her groomer making me look bad. Then she contacted me today about canceling my next appointment next week because she had another client who wanted that time slot. I confirmed I wanted the groom and asked again for a shorter "puppy" cut. She called me and declined service claiming it's not healthy for the dogs coat or skin and refused to cut any shorter. I explained I've been grooming my dogs for 18+ years and I know what is good for my dog. I didn't appreciate being schooled or scolded by this rude, condescending person. She then Canceled my appointment despite my advising I would leave a review about my experience on YELP. Also please note that the mobile grooming van is shabby, old and decrepit. I noticed many negative reviews about Veronica. She is NOT LICENSED and not kind at all. Very disrespectful, nasty girl. AVOID THIS GROOMER AT ALL COSTS!!!
