Very good ice cream. My girlfriend wanted to get Ritas along the pier but I try to check out and support small businesses when I can and it was a short walk away. The wait was slightly longer than average but not too long, and it was definitely worth it. My girlfriend and I both got the expresso oreo milkshakes, as neither of us have seen that combination before and being big coffee fans we had to try it. Definitely did not disappoint. The expresso and oreo paired perfectly together and the other ice cream flavors looked really good, I regret not trying samples. They also have some candy and non-ice cream coffee. It's a great place to cool off as the sun beats down while walking around the city or if you just want ice cream, and I'd bet the coffee is superb. I highly recommend, and if you're at the pier, skip Ritas and make the 10 minute walk for this place. read more

It was empty when we walked in but when it was time to order, it got to be pretty busy. The worker wasn't at all friendly and just stared at us when we were next to to order. Nothing better than a cone of ice cream after a long walk on the waterfront on a summer day! We were thrilled to come across Lucky's on our walk around the inner harbor. It's a small place with seats to eat outside, which was nice as we could enjoy the water view. It's a busy area, however. We were able to sample a few flavors before making our choices. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a cone of Red Velvet Cake and a cone of Bourbon on the rocks. Both were tasty. Price was decent. The ice cream is delicious! Service is not great. We wanted to eat some ice cream after lunch, so we stumbled upon Lucky's. They have a wide variety of flavors. I asked the staff member at the register a question (tell me more about what is moose tracks), and they were really thrown for a loop. He went to ask someone. Then that person pointed them to a clipboard. And then the cash register person started flipping through those pages, and about 3 minutes later they answered the question. Then our ice creams are served but the staff don't speak too loudly, and they just leave orders on the counter. After a few minutes, we realized our order was on the counter and the ice cream had slightly melted. My daughter ordered a milkshake and again because they don't do a good job about announcing orders, someone else mistake took the milkshake. Enjoyed trying out Lucky's ice cream recently. While the ice cream was good (not fantastic), we did enjoy the variety of flavors, the amount that they gave you, for not an unreasonable price. They were out of waffle cones when we went which was sort of a bummer, but when we asked for two scoops, it came out to a little less than a pint, so I was sufficiently happy with the amount of ice cream in front of me. The location is great as it is just near the aquarium and so we enjoyed a cold ice cream on a hot day. Not a lot of seating outside and only a couple tables had an umbrella or shade. We ended up sitting inside as there was a table on the wall with 4 barstool type seats so once the seats were vacated we had enough seats for our party of 4. They have ice cream and milkshakes and they also sell some candy and drinks. They have no bathroom though so make sure you have some hand sanitizer if you want to clean up first. The ladies working there didn't appear overjoyed to be there but we were friendly and didn't let it bother us. They were out of vanilla so we were able to get a taste of other flavors to see which our picky eater would like. Lucky's is a cute little ice cream/ coffee shop right in the city. For such a tiny shop, they offered lots of different ice cream flavors for you to choose from, all at an affordable price. Because it was such a scalding hot day when I visited, I wasn't in the the mood for dairy, so instead, I ordered a blue raspberry slushy which was so perfect. My husband got a mint chocolate chip milkshake and he loved every last drop. The music in the shop gave you a late-night-party-feel so, I was fond of the vibes as well. The dining space is outside only, and they had a large selection of snacks and ice creams, which you were allowed to request as a shake. I LOVED the coffee oreo flavor, which is a combination I've never had before. The coffee flavor was not very strong though. They had a good selection of ice cream flavors, but honestly not as expansive or creative a selection as I would have expected from a ice cream shop. They carried pretty traditional flavors and only 3-4 flavors I'd deem unique. They also provide free water (fill yourself from a spigot). There is outdoor seating only. A bit on the pricy side for ice cream, with 1 scoop costing $3.50 and a waffle cone costing an extra 50 cents. That being said, it was a generous scoop so good for the occasional sweet treat!
