Alright so I came here with tempered expectations but I didn't read any reviews until after I came. My cousin recommended this place and advised me of the attitude of one of the ladies but that I could handle it. However, I fortunately didn't have any dealings with the female owner at all. I walked in and was greeted by a gentleman. Presumably the male owner. He was nice and asked what I needed. I came in for a manicure and pedicure. Kim ended up being my technician and I'm glad she was. Seems like having Kim as your tech is the best route to go. She was friendly and took her time. I got a milk and honey pedicure I believe that's what it was called and it was great. The extra massage was just what I needed on that day. The pedicure and manicure came out well. I did see a another black woman use the restroom so it appears there may not be an issue there, perhaps they've changed their bathroom policy. If I lived in the area I'd come back to see Kim. I'd also probably bring my own polish too because I wasn't overly impressed with their selection. read more

I have been going to this salon for years, and I do not understand the abrasive reviews for this establishment. I have been visiting this salon since 2012, and I have never been mistreated by any of the staff members. Actually, the employees, especially the owners, are very nice and welcoming. I cannot speak on the manicures--for I go to a separate salon for my gel manis--but I can tell you that this salon has the best pedicures in town. They have an extensive pedicure list, but my personal favorite is the pomegranate and lime juice pedicure; however, from my previous experiences, they are all pretty potent. If coming here, I highly recommend getting Kim to do your pedicure. She is diligent, meticulous and gives great massages. To conclude, the only reason I gave this salon three stars is because I remember getting a gel mani back in 2015, and my nails chipped two days later. I have not gotten a manicure here since. This was the worst salon experience ever. No stars is a sufficient option. I am writing this to warn all the ladies and gents out there looking for a top tier experience. The most unfortunate part about this experience is that I was bringing in my birthday the very next day. Upon leaving the salon, I noticed once I got in the car that the pedicure I received was god awful and let's not mention the manicure (overlay w/ gel polish I received). It is so ugly that I could cry. I'm including a photo of the nail design I got vs what I asked for so you all can be the judge. I called myself treating myself to a milk & honey pedicure and the massage, amazing the paint job, a total joke. It looks like someone painted my toenails while blindfolded. Sad thing about this is that salon is a 5 minute drive away from my house and I will now continue to drive past this joke of an establishment and make sure I discourage anyone I can from spending their hard earned money here. My experience in two words: overpriced and sloppy. Also, if anyone working in the shop is reading this, buy new polish please. My manicure has air bubbles because your gel polish is so old. I took my daughters with me to get pedicures. When we walked in the lady at the front station had a problem from go! When my 5 year old picked out her color the lady came and took it out her hands. I asked her what the issue was, she started waving me off talking in her language. The other techs kept looking at us strange. Mind you we weren't doing anything but sitting in the chairs waiting to be serviced. When my youngest, 3 got up to get a magazine, here this woman comes again. At this point I told her if she touches my child we will have a problem. She stops and says " no service, we can no service you" I said fine, took my babies and went somewhere else to spend my $115 dollars. Very horrible woman! I live across the street. Not really sure why they have you sign in because today, I arrived at 11:50am and it's 1:20pm and I'm STILL waiting to even be started in a chair for a full set. Okay I went to this nail salon twice, because it is relatively close to my house. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I go back. I went one time to many. The first time I went I got a Gel Manicure French Manicure. The polish seemed as though it never dried and stayed sticky for about the next two days. The second time I went I got a pink. The man who did my nails used the polish to sparingly it made the polish put like smears in it which made it seem as though it wasn't enough. The man had to put a third coat on my nails. I gave the one star not only because I had too, but mainly because they gave me water and the shop was clean. Lastly, they are expensive. I spent 52.00 on a gel manicure and pedicure. I spent 2 hours having that done and still had to go to another salon to get my eyebrows done. I refused to stay in there any longer or give them anymore money. read more

Came in to get service with a friend for a wedding. Pedicure was fantastic and the lady who did it had a great attitude. The lady who did my manicure/full set, who I later learned was the owner's wife, had the worst attitude. She was rude and dismissive. She knows nothing of customer service and seems to have a problem when one asks for something specific. I can spend my money anywhere I please and I expect good customer service. A small and not very busy nail salon, and I can see why. I took my 16, almost 17 year old grand-niece in to get her nails done before her 17th birthday. She wanted something new and trendy, of course, and they did not know how to do it. But they did not just explain that the skill was beyond them, they took personal umbrage that she had even asked, and refused to serve us, even after my niece said she would be happy with just an ordinary manicure.I must add that neither of us was insistent or rude or loud at all, but they were incredibly rude and mean to my grand-niece, and told us, directly, to go back to our old place. A friend and I went here and the female owner everyone is talking about in these reviews treated us with such disrespect. My friend noticed the salon charged us a couple dollars extra than what she usually pays for her nails when she comes there. She mentioned it to the owner lady (my friend was just curious as to why there was an up charge, she was going to pay it regardless) and she caught the BIGGEST attitude. The only good thing was this salon was clean. I went there for a fill and a pedicure for my daughter. I had to wait which was understandable for a weekend. But I was serviced by the owner. When she addressed me, she asked what I wanted done. I told her, then she went to the back and remained there for several minutes. I felt there was no sense of urgency as there were other people waiting. She would periodically stop working on my nails just to talk to the other nail techs, and to answer calls on her cell phone. My young daughter was getting a pedicure from another nail tech. After my nails dried, I decided to join her at the pedicure area. The male tech told me to go back so my nails would dry more. I've been getting my nails done since I was 16 years old,. I'm now 43 years old, and I think I'm a expert on knowing how long it takes for my nails to dry. I felt they didn't want me back there. That's a first for me as salons are very accommodating when it comes to me wanting to sit with my daughter. Later the owner and a customer were having a misunderstanding about pricing. Witnessing her address these customers made me feel uncomfortable. Tense environment. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever! This is business that is about making money only and not about taking care of the customers needs! I live down the street from this place. I've always been wanting to know if it was a good nail salon. I found out today why this place is usually empty. The greeting I got was very unpleasant by the nail tech at the front. I believe she is the owner along with the very rude husband! I sat down for a simple pedi and asked for a new scrubber for my feet. The ones they have are all worn down and filled with bacteria I'm sure! The male owner who wasn't the person doing my feet instantly responded. We can't do that, that's what we use if You don't want it we won't use it. I responded to tell him I asked for a new one because I'd like to buy it and the ones you are using are filthy. I went in this morning for a manicure and pedicure. The gentleman (the owner I think) started my pedicure and within the first 5 minutes I asked him a question about my cuticles. His answer was so rude, it took me out of my comfort zone. He continued with the service but never said another word to me, I was very uncomfortable. When I paid my bill I told him to add 10% to it and not 20% because he wasn't very nice. His response really shocked me, he said I needed to be nicer and shouldn't asked him the cuticle question and basically said he didn't care if I came back or not. Disrespectful!!! I recently went to this Nail Salon because I just moved in the area. From the looks of it the place was clean however the female owner is rude to the point that I left and will never go again. She was servicing a customer when I arrived so I signed in and waited. She walked outside then asked in a very loud and disrespectful tone. "Let me see your nails"!!!! I said are you speaking to me?? She repeated herself let me see your nails while reaching for my hand. Today when I went in for a pedicure no one greeted me as they had in the past. I signed in and sat for approximately 30 minutes. The next technician asked what I wanted and then proceed to take me to the chair for a pedicure. After 45 seconds I asked, "What do you have in this water because my feet are burning." The nail tech replied, "Water and this green stuff disinfectant." The nail tech began to let the warm water out of the tub because I asked for cold water to help stop the burning. As I was leaving I spoke to Ken the male owner and asked for his contact information so that if I had to get medical care I would how to reach the shop. He pointed towards the business cards and said take one and then he said it was only WSSC water and that no one else is having problems I told him just water does not burn.
