Walked right in and was seated immediately on a Thursday around 5 for dinner. The server was great food was superb. We had salmon New Orleans and stuffed grouper. The Caesar salad was very fresh. The Pondarosa that was there is still there just under another name. Luckys is horrible. Go to Sav a Lot and buy a steak it will be better.

My first experience at Lucky's steak house was definitely not lucky, even when called ahead we to have a reservation. We still had to sit and wait at the bar and yes the drinks helped but when we had a choice of sit at the bar or take a booth it it still would've been 20 limits to get a regular table, and then people sit after us they got food before us I feel like we weren't as important. Which can be very very irritating the bread and butter was good to hold us over my uncle got the slaw for an app my mom got a salad and my dad and my aunt got soup, both took way to long but the soup was hot thank god for that, me personally I don't care if theirs tickets ahead of us when people sit down right away and their food comes before mine and I've waited longer I get ticked. The ambiance is great atmosphere, mind you they took a while and for our mains to arrive and my dad was ready to walk out the door me I wanted to go full Gordon Ramsey Hell's Kitchen or John bar rescue but my folks were present and I was told to stand down: My mom's fish was cold never gave it back my dads mahi was over cooked, and my uncle and aunts food to them was spectacular, this place was open for around a month or so. My steak aka the porter house steak and our waiter said it was ticket times were crazy, and then the manager came by to sort it out and helped my dad out with his fish it was a salmon dish: They even didn't fill up the paper towel in the bathroom. Our waiter was not very chatty, and didn't even tell us the specials, and also wasn't informal of what was good on the menu, or recommend what he would recommend. Me personally if I was a waiter I chat up the table and help my customers with the choices. Overall my steak was good but I felt like I should've chosen a better steak than a liter house steak: too much gristle. Which brings me back to my previous point about the waiter not helping the customer with the order with recommendations. but still no excuse for sitting us and then other people go got their food first before we did. Very unhappy they replaced my ponderosa buffet place with this ? Man get it together. The manager was very apologetic and I felt bad for her. read more

Our first time there last night. We sat in the bar area at one of the high top tables. Our server was very good. We split an appetizer platter, which was plenty for two people. The ribs could have been a little bit hotter, but they still tasted excellent. The restaurant is extremely clean, though I wish they could turn the lighting down a bit in the bar area it's extremely bright in there. All in all I'd give it a 10 out of 10 and we will be back there tomorrow night for my husband's birthday! read more

Great service from my waitress Autumn! She was so nice & so bubbly even though it was very busy! She has a great waitress personality! Food was -decent- a good place to have a hearty dinner! I went there on September 21st 2025, Ordered the 20 oz Porterhouse cooked rare. Sent it back 3 times and it still was well done. The table next to us sent their steak back also. Not one time did the manager come out to address the issue. I don't recommend this place it was terrible. read more

The service was very good ambience good my wife's dinner prime rib, and ribs was superb. I had the Cajun ribeye. I don't know what it's like to ever have to eat a boot, but I think I found out when I ate that ribeye absolutely the worst steak I've ever eaten in my life. This was my first visit to our long awaited Lucky's. The staff was friendly and the restaurant looked nice; everything appeared clean. A few things were a bit odd compared to other Lucky's I've been to. It started at the door where there was a note that they aren't accepting gift cards at this time. I was glad I hadn't purchased one for my parent's anniversary like I had considered. Inside the door there was a sign with the "special" which was the Philly Cheesesteak for $12.99 which is the normal, everyday menu price. At every other Lucky's the special comes with fries (or other side), AND a cup of soup, which is what makes it the special. When my friend ordered with a baked potato and her soup choice she was informed that it only came with one side. Confused, we asked what made it the special. The waitress went to talk to the manager and returned and asked if my friend had had it with the soup before, to which she replied "every time!" The waitress said that she could give it to her but normally it only comes with one side and the special just means that they are "highlighting" that menu item. ??? After a bit we asked about bread and were told that it only comes with certain menu items unless you ask for it. (I'm fine with this, again- just different from the other Lucky's) The food was hot and delicious and while done people have said that the portions for some things seemed smaller than they're used to, I was fine with mine! I'm very happy to have Lucky's as a hometown option. I hope they do well. I will be back! read more

WOW very disappointed in this place. We were excited to find a Luckys close to home . Saginaw is always 5 star every time. Upon arriving sat at bar, waited for a bit to be noticed . Had to ask for water and a menu. It was about 3:30 not that busy but for sure other customers. Ordered drinks took a bit but they were very good a nice pour. Ordered the steak flat bread was asked how we wanted it done we said MR. We ordered the special stuffed grouper with crabmeat and two sides. which was not on special same price as menu. All our food came out at the same time after I asked to have my ceasar salad first and my sister her soup French onion same time. The norm. My entree came out total wrong one, flatbread steak was way overcooked and looked dried out. Onion soup good. My ceasar salad had overkill of dressing and the croutons actually tasted old. Sent that back I kept the Brussels til I got my correct dinner they were nothing like the ones in Saginaw , still raw, cold and the balsamic glaze actually tasted like vinegar instead of the sweet glaze. Sent them Back to Get new ones that tasted exactly the same yuck. Manager came out to make things right. I said we want none of it just the soup and bread. But mis communication again. They brought out my original grouper stuffer with crabmeat that I was supposed to to get. It was actually excellent and tasted very good. In the end they took the steak flatbread off of bill that was it. They did give me a new Caesar and baked potato with fix-ins on the side to go. So being it's only been 3 weeks since open we will try again and hope the food and standards are the same as the Luckys in Saginaw. Also a smile go's a long ways. ... Ok now I am adding to this review 1 1/2 hour drive home to get left overs out of car. The potatoe that she said she got for me in place of the awlful Brussels sprouts is half cooked and she did not provide any of the condiments that go with the potatoe. Geez !!!! We waited way too long for our meals. My mom ordered chicken tortillas soup and it was literally cold, sent it back twice and still wasn't hot, told the waitress to take it away and off the bill . My husband's steak was underdone and barely warm. I had filet mignon medallions and it was very greasy either way loads of zip sauce on it.. I ate a few but the dog got the rest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this particular Lucky's. The other locations are much better! read more

Arrived at 6:15pm, the hostess said there was a 45 minute to an hour wait. We decided to give them a go. About an hour in the hostess asked if anyone was willing to sit at a hi-top.... of course we were! So I said sure! She took the couple who came in AFTER us, but were sitting closer to her counter instead! The waiter for that section came out and told her he didn't want anymore tables. Needless to say, she never said a word to us that she in fact would not be sitting us over there. She continued to seat other folks that came in after us! After an hour and 20 minutes I went up to ask how much longer and was told there were still 5 tables ahead of us! Pretty sure we will just continue to make the drive to Bay City if we want to eat at Lucky's! Currently we are at 2 1/2 hours and they have yet to let me know i have a table! read more

We were told we had a 30 minute wait. 35 minutes later they sat a couple who was in the line no more than 10 minutes before us and a few people who were in line before us. We complained and left. The place was huge but they were only sitting in about a third of the place on a Friday night. Would never recommend eating there and we won't ever return. Sunday night and extremely busy- girls at front desk were polite and friendly-waitress appeared at our table few minutes after we were seated. She was very bubbly despite how busy they were. Apps came out piping hot, drinks were delivered timely, food showed up perfectly cooked ( fish and steaks).Our waitress Jen was amazing, food was very enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised at everything. Sunday night at 7 pm and the place was packed but we were treated as if we were the only ones there. We will definitely be coming back. read more
