Overall I give this 5 stars. Only downfall was we went on a Saturday night and it was a 40 minute wait. They have many beer choices and the atmosphere is awesome! Love the brick interior as well as the lights along the bar! I ordered the cheddar bacon BBQ burger and it was phenomenal! My boyfriend ordered the spicy Lucy burger and said it was good but was expecting more spice. I would definitely recommend going here! read more

We have been coming here for a few years now, and we are sad to say this was the first less than perfect five star experience. It took over ten minutes for our waiter to come to our table and our food arrived cold after sitting for nearly ten minutes under the heating lamp. Knowing from past experiences that this was VERY unusual, we spoke to the manager Emily. She was super sweet and remedied the situation explaining that they were between shifts and offering apologies (along with hot replacement food). We ordered the Plain Jane and the Wisconsinite burgers. Both were delicious. It's tough out there in a post corona-virus environment with food service, so we understand the challenges. The difference between Lucy's 7 and other places, is their willingness to work on shortcomings and helping customers to understand why things may be a little less than perfect sometimes. We will be back, especially if awesome managers like Emily are still around. read more

Both are extremely good. Sweet potato fries are a must because they come with a special chipotle dipping sauce.. & every burger also comes with a pickle. What's not to love about specialty burgers in the updated Beloit area? The only negative is, they are always busy and there's a wait.

Stopped in for dinner with my family and we were added to the waitlist and told it would be 20 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes I asked when we would be seated and the gentleman said "it's going to be a while". Additionally, It was nice out so we waited outside and when I went back inside to check on status I noticed at least three groups (these groups were the same size as ours) that walked in well after we were added to the waitlist that had already been seated. So, the staff pays zero attention to the waitlist. read more

Sexy lucy#7 done did it again Actually our first time here and absolutely loves it. The sevice was great staff was friendly and atentive even though it was busy. The food was very tasty and fasy. It was a little noisy but not annoyingly so, over all atmosphere was a mix between sports bar and restaurant. I wouldn't say it's cheap but you get what you pay for the food is food. read more

A mixed review from a somewhat disappointing visit. We have visited Lucy's a handful Of Times now and this most recent visit was probably our worst. From the very beginning it just felt like it wasn't going to be an enjoyable experience. Every time someone came in or out the entire restaurant filled with cold air. our waitress took nearly 10 minutes to even touch our table and she was not overly friendly or attentive. We ordered the loaded fries and cheese curds. Both were great, they came out very quickly and it was more than enough food. We made the mistake of ordering a burger to share as well. The single burger probably took 30-45 minutes from the time we ordered it. We ordered the BBQ burger. It was very underwhelming. The middle had barely any cheese which defeats the purpose of a juicy Lucy. The burger was shaped more like a meatball, the bread was literally crunchy. A very unpleasant combination. This experience has probably deterred me from returning to enjoy their burgers. I will continue to enjoy their great apps and spotted cow though. If you're coming here with a burger craving, make sure you're aware of what you'll be getting. I would much Rather have a burger cooked to the right temp than have cheese cooked inside of it. read more

Very "trendy" cool looking place. Also very packed. The menu is vague though. Not many choices. If you want just a burger that's stuffed with a trendy environment than it's ok. The "specialty burgers" are few as a veggie or salmon burger isn't really a burger in my book. So if your looking for really good food or a variety, then this place isn't it. This time we tried the loaded fries. It's basic with cheese wiz type sauce and bacon, onion, tomato topping with ranch dressing on top. The fries are hand cut but otherwise just glorified cheese fries from Beef-A-Roo. For a neat environment and just a burger and beer than it's decent, but the environment is better than the food. They told us it would take 20 minutes or so. 45 minutes later we asked for our food to go because we had somewhere to be (which we told the waitress originally when asking how long the burgers would take) and it ends up the order was never put on the grill. First time here! Heard highly about it! Great service, great drinks. Food not so much. Served cold, cold sweet potato fries. Got the Spicy Lucy, which was cold, dry and not really "stuffed" with cheese. Could not eat my meal because it was such a disappointment. I hate to complain, so I didn't but wow, so extremely upset. Was asked if I needed a box (because of how much food was left over) and I simply stated, "No, it was horrible" and was replied with an "I'm sorry". Amazing food and service. My boyfriend and I came in last night for dinner and planned to sit at a table. We grabbed a beer at the bar and after speaking with Kipp, the bartender, we were convinced to just have dinner right there at the bar. We had cheese curds as an appetizer that were so delicious. After a great suggestion from Kipp we ordered the Burger of the Month, the Mac n Cheese Burger with the loaded fries. It was amazing. Best burger either of us have ever had and the fries were soooo yummy. We had a wonderful experience and amazing food. We definitely will be back. Lucy's is a wonderful additional to the already popping Beloit Downtown scene. They have the best selection of local Wisconsin craft beers with over 20 on tap. What a shame, there is no excuse for poor management. Lucy's is a basic burger bar with a twist on specialty burgers. Sides range from cheesy bacon covered potatoes to salads and as far as food goes, I have never had a bad experience. Unfortunately management there needs training or more experience. My last meal there, will more than likely, be my last there. On this particular night my wife and I were trying to enjoy our wine and burger at the bar while a lone woman at the end of the bar was talking gibberish to herself and constantly trying to interject herself into our conversation. One may have thought she was intoxicated but it didn't take long to understand she has some social and mental issues. She began making loud insulting racial comments to us. It was disconcerting and embarrassing. I had the thought that maybe she was a regular as the manager talked to her a few times but that did not stop the comments and finally we had to abandon our dinner, leave our full drinks on the bar, which I did pay for, and leave disgusted and aggravated. I expressed this to the manager and suggested she might want to have Beloit's finest escort this racist out of the restaurant. What's worse is we are there to help support these businesses and while this manager is turning nice couples away for occupancy restrictions she lets this woman sit, while not drinking and ruin our evenings. What a shame, I really enjoyed this place prior to this. The only shining light for the evening was Dana the bar tender who was as mortified as we were. If you love burgers and being insulted, this is the place to go. Disappointing. read more

The best way to describe this place is disappointing. I had heard soo much about this place that me and my wife were really excited to eat there. When we walked in the place basically had no decor because it was soo busy, which is fine. We got a nice window seat and both ordered our burgers. We got em and they were ok, but nothing special. I just feel like I could get the same burgers for cheaper almost anywhere else. There was just Nothing special about this place to make it stand out over anywhere else.
