Orange, CA Location: Best customer service I've had in years. I had a few questions and Trevor, the manager, was so helpful. He is Lucy's best asset. He was very informative, kind, considerate and professional. Trevor was diligently cleaning a appeared to actually be doing a little maintenance & sanitizing dryers. He busy working the entire time I was there, but was available to stop and answer any questions I had. Although the Orange Lucy's is smaller and the facility is older, the hot water was hot & the warm water was warm and the machines & spin cycles were excellent! I am sure this older facility will be upgraded like the Costa Mesa facility is, but the machines were in good working order and m, again, everything was clean. Thank you so much for being tops in laundry customer service! It was a pleasure and I will definitely be back. Costa Mesa, CA Location: Very nice place for large items, comforters, quilts, etc. and large loads.....you can actually choose hot water and it's hot. This is a very nice place & the attendant (I think his name was Henry) was helpful. The items wash and spin properly in the temperature of water desired, and they rinse thoroughly to where there is no residue on your laundry. This place sucks and is incredibly expensive. The machines don't even soak your clothing or actually wash it and majority are out of order. Dryers are actually big but take multiple cycles to dry. Overall, I wouldn't come here. The member card seems cool but not worth the cost of what it takes to wash and dry. read more

Only good thing about this place is that there's a 7/11 right next to it. If YOU want to wash here just be aware you have to purchase a laundry card and it's 1 dollar. 2nd if you want to add more money you have to put the minimum of 5 dollers or more... Plus the area to fold clothes is so small and don't have that many spots . I noticed the machine that I used was 6.79 and the dryer is 1.99 for 24 min and doesn't dry well. I only needed to wash here one time because of a drs visit and wanted to waste time. I'm not from the area and happy I am not coming back here again. You can find another location with better deals and you can even get free drying while you're at it if you do yourself some research. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Edited version of review: I have been looking for a cleaners and I was recommended to Lucy's by my neighbor. Yes, I am aware that location has different hours for the open laundry matt style versus the cleaner's section. People are there doing laundry in the laundry mat section but with a chain and lockbox on the cleaners door and no access from the interior and nobody working there, no signage, no working hours... Very frustrating. I did return many times on different days and various times during your working hours and nobody was there. I went out of my way several times, that's what is so frustrating. I ended up using different cleaners and over paying. I can only assume I wouldn't have the same experience at Lucy's. read more

Laundromats like this one reminds me of my childhood! I'll definitely be back. The amount of washer and dryers are a good amount. Consider being here for maybe 1hr-2hrs depending on your laundry. Provided: laundry cards, laundry baskets (to assist you in transferring loads), dryer sheets, restrooms. Please note, you need to use your laundry card for the restroom so you are technically paying to use their facilities. Our laundry came out fresh and clean, no wrinkles! I definitely recommend stopping by next door (7 eleven) for any laundry stuff you may have forgotten to bring for doing laundry. This review is solely because of Mary. My pillows and mattress pad have been in desperate need of a washing. I've had them for a few years and despite numerous febreezing, they were due for a wash. I looked for a Laundromat and happened to find Lucy's nearby. The reviews mentioned Mary, but I hardly looked for her. I came in, threw my pillows in the wash, and then the dryer. Whilst waiting for the dryer, and it being very quiet in here. A woman approached me and asks if those are my pillows in the dryer. I said yes, they are. And she asked if they were memory foam. Immediately my heart sunk and I went into panic... "yes...." I said... with the inner monologue in my head going "crap should I have washed them..." She mentioned that you normally don't wash them but to keep an eye on it. She then proceeded to go above and beyond!! 30 minutes later I'm still here trying to dry these damn pillows... Mary has come back and refreshed my dryer numerous times to save the day and make sure I'm not spending $50 for nothing. She has also come over with numerous google articles on how to dry, recover, save, and clean pillows since my tags have faded and are illegible. She has made this 2 hour annoyance anything but that. I appreciate her positivity and light she brings to this crazy task. I have my own stacked unit at my apartment (using this place cause I have larger items) but I'd come back for this. This place requires that you purchase for one dollar (cash only) a laundry card on which you add value with more cash. Each laundry load costs over five dollars with additional $ for extra rinse/ heavy duty, and the dryer costs $1.62 per load. The machines currently do not accept card/debit. This is not a traditional coin laundromat. There is one attendant who may or may not help you with technical difficulties with the reloading machine. Several of the washer/dryer machines were out of order and had a handwritten sign taped to their exterior to indicate them as such. Even the attendant was unsure whether the machine accepted card or not, and commented that "the card machines have been acting up recently. " Thankfully, there was a 7-11 two doors down in the same small strip mall (to which this sad establishment belongs) that has an ATM machine for which my bank does not charge a fee, so I was able to withdraw cash, buy a beverage, and get enough small bills in change to charge my laundry card, which I regret purchasing, since I will never be going back to this place again. The place claims to take dry cleaning, but when I asked the attendant about this, she said that they send the dry cleaning out to another company, so that it takes quite a while to return. I'm guessing this is on the order of over one week, which is not a great turnaround time. Save yourself the breath and the headache of trying to navigate the broken card machine with cash only, and go somewhere else. read more

I went there to wash my clothes while waiting for my washer and dryer to be delivered. I showed up to all the washers and dryers being use by the employees for the wash and fold service. Maybe you should close during the times that you use all the washers and dryers. So new costumer have a better first impression, and become reoccurring or recommend to others. This review is for their Fluff N Fold service. When they first opened, it was great service. Now... it's AWFUL. I've already found a new laundry service to go to and I just picked up my last load from Lucy's just now. Never again! I'd give them NO STARS if I could. They've changed their hours to 9a to 3p and they are now closed on weekends. That's great but you're in business offering a service and only being open for 6 hours a day during the week does not give sufficient time for people to pick up their laundry. FFS, if you don't want to work in service, find something else to do. I had dropped off some laundry on Saturday afternoon, and the girl who took my laundry in said it would be ready Monday afternoon. I wasn't able to go until Tuesday afternoon to pick up and it wasn't ready yet. She said it would be 20 minutes! I don't have 20 minutes to wait. The girl who took my laundry in said it would be done by Monday afternoon, so it should be done by now. I go Wednesday and they're already CLOSED. WTF?? Why are you closing at 3pm. You provide a service for people, your hours should accommodate people who have to get to work before your opening and work until after you close and at least be open Saturday mornings. Why are you even in the service industry if you wanted a Monday thru Friday 9 to 3 job. Ridiculous!! When I arrived there this morning to pick up, the employees weren't even in the building!! I waited around for at least 10 minutes for someone to show up. They were apparently getting food at the convenience store. Both employees went at the same time. This is how you do business? I am glad I picked up my last load from them today. This was not the first time my laundry was not done when needed. I dropped it off and requested that it be done by 12p two days later. The lady who took my laundry in put down that I wanted it by 2p, which was COMPLETLY FALSE!! I didn't have 20 minutes to wait for it to be done, as I have a schedule to follow as well. I had taken my laundry there for the last FIVE years, and this is how they treat you because I'm not a big hotel or fancy spa. They don't deserve your business. Their new hours reflect how they don't even want to work. Take your business elsewhere. They don't want it anyway. read more

This place was clean and convenient. I LOVED the efficiency. Washing and drying times were shorter than I expected, and nothing needed a second or extended run. Plus, alI the machines had a very nice capacity. I always expect to have to add more quarters to a driver. For me, nothing required an extended cycle. Also, it's not a coin op. You buy a card ($1) and load credits onto the card. I had some issues where my card wasn't readable by some machines, and where it wasn't readable by the dispenser so I couldn't see my balance. On the other hand, a sign indicates that you can only put money on your card twice per visit, and the minimum addition of credit is $10, and there's no refund of any extra credit you may have purchased once you're done. If you know you're coming back, that's not a problem. But if you're here for a one-time visit, this is only a great deal if you correctly anticipate, more or less, how much you'll need. That said, I was happy overall. I was there for a one-time visit, and I put $5 more on my card than I needed, and then gave it to someone else on my way out. But even with that included, I feel I got a pretty good deal. Also, there's a Japanese fast food restaurant next door that's not bad, and I was able to eat a healthy, reasonably-priced meal during the short time while my washing machines were running - an added bonus. read more

I've gone to a couple laundromat's with fluff and clean service but here it's ridiculous how small it is. Employees used more than half of the machines and they are not clean whatsoever. Some are filled with old soap and it seems it doesn't get cleaned frequent like other places.Very dirty. As well it is high priced and the wash doesn't even work well. Disappointed. Ended up leaving. Really need management to help clean up that place with better organization. read more

This laundromat is located right by 7-Eleven and next door to Umami Teriyaki Grill. Homeless people tend to hang around and roam this area so just giving a heads up so you know what to expect. The laundry is open very early, I came here around 4:30AM and there were already people washing/drying their clothes. To do your laundry here you go to the machine and get a card that you can reload with money to use with the machines. Unfortunately, that's the only way to do our laundry here. They have huge washing/drying machines but the washing machines are pretty expensive. For me to do my laundry (just to wash one load), was a little over $8. What's even worse is that the machine had an error code and didn't drain the water out of the drum AND wasn't able to go through a spin cycle. So, my clothes ended up being soaking wet before drying. I recommend you take your laundry elsewhere, this place is just expensive and unreliable. Next time I will just go to the cheaper laundromats where the machines actually work. read more

I will second the comment on customer service. My issue is the pick up/delivery service and the app. Delivery guy Charlie is amazing, but the rest... Never a straight answer. Used them for laundry and it has been generally great, but last time, the casual shirts came back with grease type stains from where, we do not know. Reached out and never received an answer. Moved and 1st service out for dry cleaning, they mistakenly put Fluff and Fold, even though clearly on app, chose dry cleaning. Called and they made the switch. Receive an email receipt that clothes would be delivered and the receipt still says fluff and fold and again minimum charge. I sent 5 shirts. Regular guy dress shirts. SIXTY DOLLARS!!! 12.00 A SHIRT!!! For real??? I called and the woman said yes... 9.75 per shirt is the normal charge, but obviously I am confused as the bill was 60.32... And the bill shows Fluff and Fold with a minimum charge. CRAZY!!! It was a great service while it lasted. Not so much anymore. And kind of sad on that. I came here to wash a few blankets I spent a total of $30 on washing and drying and my blankets smell bad. Prior to washing them they didn't have this particular weird gross smell. I used tide detergent and fabric softener. After I finished I decided to look into the area that I put soap in and there was a lot of residue of old soap, it was halfway full of water and green detergent (I didn't have green detergent). I will never wash here again all I did was waste my time and money. read more

I recently had a delivery and an entire bag of my clothing is missing. No one has gotten back to me to tell me where the hell my clothes went! This laundromat is in a good location and fairly clean HOWEVER they are expensive and fail to take care of their machines as many are out of order on a regular basis. They also raised the prices on their dryers WITHOUT changing the amount listed. You think you are paying 99¢ but they are now $1.25 per cycle. This is WRONG. ALSO horrible at placing 'out of order' notices on the many washing machines that our not working so you waste product and time trying to use a machine that DOES NOT work. Best laundry mat ever... got $2 added to my laundry card for being a first time customer, and another $1 for registering my card. I can wash 6 loads in 1 machine for $6.50. I just saved me a few hours compared to using my complex's laundry mat... which each washer reluctantly fits 2 loads :/ And get this... $1 to dry upto 10 loads of laundry. To wash all of my clothes, sheets, and comforter - It'll cost me about $15.00 and I can get all of it done in about an hour. Very, very impressive. Other +s Free Wi-Fi LOTS of large washers and dryers Next to Umami & 7-11... a Catholic Church too if you want to get your prayer on. Extra +s They offer Fluff n Fold service which my co-workers use. $1.25/lbs of laundry and they will pick it up from you, then drop it off all folded and pressed. Came by with a coat and pair of pants to get dry cleaned. I wanted to get a quote prior to leaving my clothes and the gentleman tried to figure out the how to quote on the computer but couldn't figure it out. He gave up after about 15 minutes and said he was newer and that I could leave the clothes to be dry cleaned with them but he couldn't tell me how much it would cost. I ended up leaving and having the clothes fry cleaned elsewhere. He did tell me that dry cleaning takes three days. read more

This use to be a awesome place to do ones laundry. Now the waiting on washers & dryers is just frustrating. Not because of clients like ourselves but because the employees taking ALL machines. Once a machine is ready to unload and I inform the employee of it. He says he can't unload it, it belongs to his co-workers who she is no where to be found.
