Grab a couple of the cheapest frozen meatballs and throw them on a sub bun with store bought marinara sauce and a thin film of cheese. It'll probably taste better than the slop they sell! Oh, and let's not forget the side salad, served without dressing. If you want that precious topping you have to go beg for it at the counter at which point the staff will provide you with a couple of teaspoons full out of a squirt bottle! All of this for only 41.00 plus! Needless to say we'll never darken their doorway again and if you're smart, neither will you! Stick to Subway.

So friendly and helpful: even gave us some extra cookies. They also have large bags of rye bread slices that were too small for the sandwiches that they just give away. I got a Cuban which was pretty good (but not as good as one I had in Florida). You can add ingredients like at Subway to the recipes they have. They have several bread options and they cut slices for you, the rye bread I had was nice. Large sandwiches are approx $13. It's a little pricey but it's real food. Just one staff member when I went on a Friday afternoon, they were friendly/cheerful. Not the cheapest option for sandwiches (and we like cheap eats in Winnipeg...) but a nice change to having subs all the time. I'd go here occasionally, take a co-worker, etc. There are a lot of food options at the area so I hope they stay in business.

K+B is one of the places I often order take out from during COVID, and this past week I was able to dine in here for the first time. The River City Brisket has always been my staple order because it's that good. Normally for take-out I have it with potato salad, but last week I tried it with the jalapeno cheddar mac n cheese...which was really delicious! I do like the potato salad as well, and would choose that in warmer weather. It's a toss up between here and Miss Browns on who makes better brisket, but right now I give the edge to K+B. It's quite pricey for a sandwich at $15 ($11 if you don't include a side), but I found it worth it personally.

The medium is a good size for me for a small dinner or lunch.

I had the 6-inch brisket hat trick on a whole wheat bread. I considered a footlong as I was quite hungry, however upon seeing some of the portions coming from the kitchen, they were huge...so I opted for a 6-inch instead. It took a while for my order to be served, which I understood as it was extremely busy. The wait was worth it though, as the sub was indeed loaded with toppings, and I found it overall to be really good! The ingredients were fresh, and it didn't seem like anything was pre-made (I could be wrong here though). Service was excellent here. Way better than Subway for the value you get.

It's extremely popular with the employees who work in the building, as well as it being connected to the Main Underground. Kinda a hidden gem. I went with the Montreal smoked beef which was excellent value. Employees inside were all welcoming. It won't be the best food you've ever had, but for what you're paying these days you can't go wrong with the value.
