I had what seemed like an impossible repair, a very expensive dog airplane carrier that my pup had chewed through the zipper that closed the front panel. Assured they could sort out the complicated repair, I was told it would cost $70. Honestly, I didn´t flinch because the carrier itself was over $450! So after a wonderful chat with the friendly staff, I left it in their hands for a week. I should note the COVID precautions they take are good, they require masks, have hand sanitizer easily accessible, plexiglass shields around the cashier desk, and clean vs used pens for paperwork. After a week I returned and the repair was amazing. The zippered panel looked like new and worked beautifully. I´m so impressed by their knowledge and repair skills I will be bringing in a leather bag to get the strap repaired. Highly recommend. read more

Over priced. I have a purse and a down jacket both of them have zipper issues. I took both items to the St Louis park location and next day I got a call they wanted charge me $20 for fixing my jacket zipper and $40 for fixing my purse zipper. Lol. what a rip off price. I told them never mind and I'd take it to elsewhere. When I went to picked up my items. The male clerk lied to me in front my face" We still fixed the jacket zipper without charge you anything". Lol. David was kind enough to repair my suitcase on site while I browsed around - he was truly a lifesaver! Took it out to load up and didn't even get the bag loaded before realizing the bag already had a hole in it. Leaving internationally in 2 days so I promptly brought it in. The store wasn't even open on time. Their sign says 11:30 on Sundays but they were not even there. Waited longer. Explained situation and their initial offer was to fix the unused just purchased bag at my expense and the timeline was 1 week...after I'll be gone on my trip. I drove 110 miles to this store as it was listed as an authorized repair store for Ricardo Luggage. When I showed the woman at the counter the broken zipper (torn out of the seam) I was told that this was "wear and tear" not covered by warranty. She would not listen to my concern that it was due to faulty workmanship or that it was a faulty zipper. All they want is to get people in the store and then charge to do repairs. Please do not frequent this store...there are other places that are more consumer friendly. read more

I was leaving for a month-long trip the next morning when I discovered that my only large suitcase had been severely damaged in transit. I brought the bag in to get repaired and left with a new suitcase that I got a great price on it. Was it the cheapest price? I have no idea. I was quoted below-the-marked price on every bag I looked at. When I picked one, they gave me another discount at the register. I just took my first trip to Luggage World due to the recent closing of Oxman's. I fly 40+ round trips a year, having durable luggage is really important. Luggage World had a great selection of quality bags in all price ranges. I got a Briggs & Riley, I like their lifetime - anything goes warranty. While I was there someone else came in for a gift for a someone who only flys once or twice a year. We both received wonderful personal service and found exactly what we were looking for. For the bag I bought Luggage World's price was as good as any I found on line, and they didn't mark up to mark down to a fake sale price as on line retailers often do. Plus I got to touch, feel and wheel my bag before I bought it. Luggage World also does repairs, they tell me 80% of all warranty work on Briggs & Riley bags can be done in house.
