What a contrast! Instead of the chaos at Famous Footwear we found a very orderly store with attractive displays and very helpful sales associates. The person who helped us was very knowledgeable about their products and helped my wife find what she wanted. He took time to make sure she had a proper fit and suggested several useful accessories. We were very happy with both the selection and service.

I've shopped here for years but until now have not submitted a review. I was reminded recently how…read moremuch I like this place. I have difficulty finding shoes that truly fit. Far too often I settled for less than ideal (too narrow, poor arch support, etc.) and suffered the consequences with aching feet, blisters and other irritations. Schuler employs people that actually understand how to measure ones feet and then properly size footwear. As a result I always walk out with shoes or boots that feel great, need no break-in period and look great. They offer a vast selection of quality brands and almost always have what I'm looking for and a perfect fit in stock. I usually wait for a sale and then stock up by buying multiple pairs of footwear. I've also joined their rewards program. Thus, pricing, particularly given the excellent service and quality selection becomes a relative bargain. This store can get busy but never to the point where I felt that I was unacknowledged or conversely felt rushed into making a purchase decision. My father used to say that nothing is more expensive than a cheap pair of shoes. Do your sore, tired, barking dogs a favor and check out Schuler.

I did find a cute journal that I know my friend would love but when I picked it up it had some kind of liquid on the bottom which was gross. Parking is usually pretty rough at this strip mall but they do have a back lot as well and usually a bit more luck taking that route. One of the cashiers here was taking her sweet time ringing up a customer and the vibe was very weird with her mean mugging everyone. At one point another staff member was walking up and asked her "why are you looking at me like that". So yeah, there's that.

I wanted to exchange a pair of shoes for the same ones in a different color and the other employee insisted they didn't have any other colors in my size. I proceeded to pull up the ones I wanted, showing as available on their site and she basically said she didn't care what I saw since she didn't find them. Rachel overheard and jumped in to help, offered to call a different location and then ultimately found the color I wanted in their system that was in fact available and ordered them to get shipped to my house. Considering I know absolutely zero about running shoes, I followed that advice and had a top-notch experience. I was greeted by Kathleen, who is a total gem, and was directed to a bench to place my belongings. I then did a 3D foot scan, followed by a quick walk up and down the store so she could watch my gait. Kathleen brought the tablet over and we looked at the scans. She said a lot of foot terms and I nodded along, fully trusting the process. Shoes were suggested and then taken for a spin around the store. They were all excellent choices, but I had to choose one and went with a pair of Asics. I was so glad I had a shoe guide for the journey. Kathleen was knowledgeable and kind. The store has running accessories, apparel, and even nutrition offerings. I'm not saying I'm a runner, but I would definitely make a return visit for another pair of shoes down the road.

I find shopping at Dick's a bit depressing as there is a notable lack of knowledgeable service. There is plenty of parking however and the location is convenient.
