4/7/2024. My husband wanted to try this pizza because someone at the Legion had brought in pizza to share- he thought it was delicious! So we thought we would pick one up. The square pizza is the Sicilian pizza Luigi's makes. That was the kind my husband had tried and loved- so we ordered that with pepperoni. I walked up to the counter to order the pepperoni Sicilian pizza. The girl at the counter was not particularly pleasant or friendly. She quoted me 10 minutes. 10 minutes??? For a thick crust pizza? I even asked her about it- she claimed they could get it ready in 10 minutes. I went back to the location after stopping into Tap S Trees after 15 minutes. The pizza, of course, was not ready. The pizza took 25 minutes. It's irritating to be quoted way off because I rushed to get back in the quoted time. The interior offers some dine in seating, there are refrigerators with drinks, a "tree" of snacks/chips, & refrigerated desserts. Tamaqua buildings are very no frills and old, but that's where some of the best food is made. Watch your step upon entry! I liked the interior signage "In God we Trust- all others pay cash". They do take credit cards. No punishment with fees that I noticed for using them. My pizza was a 16" and was 25$. I enjoyed the pizza and Luigi's has another location in Brooklyn- surprising to me- Tamaqua and Brooklyn. The pizza was tasty. I liked the style of this pizza- the Sicilian was not too bready like I've had in other places. The sauce, cheese, pepperoni were all delicious. I would definitely go back if I were in the area. Luigi's has a lot of good specials posted on their door entrance too. read more

Good for take out delivery. they really don't have a place to sit down and eat like a nice restaurant. But they do have really good food pizza is delicious and delivery is very good. They make a delicious and healthy salad with grilled chicken! So good. Their pizza is also my favorite in town.

Do not go here. Simply put. They don't care whether you go there or not. They don't care about you. They don't care about your business. They don't care you'll wait for hours, or if your order is wrong. They simply don't care. And if they realize there was a mistake, they don't care at all to make it right. Go somewhere else. Luigi's Brick Oven does pizza well. This isn't New York or Chicago, so don't expect that level of pizza and it's not a Philly Cheese steak direct from Philly! They're known to forget things from your order, so, remember that it's possible. It also takes around an hour and forty-five minutes to get my order (I live only a few streets away). This is somewhat forgivable, as they serve a pretty large area and get a lot of orders. What they do get right, they do well! My kids favorites are their plain cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders and french fries, in typical kid fashion! They do pizza very well, though the mozz sticks are sometimes over fried. My absolute favorite is their Seafood Ravioli. It's visually stunning and absolutely delicious! Though, for $15.00, I expect more raviolis. Six definitely were filling for me, but, wouldn't be for a lot of people. They do not do shrimp scampi well. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, but, there were not enough shrimp and they left the tails on! (This could be a regional thing, as another restaurant in the area leaves the tails on as well, however, it's an odd experience, having never experienced that before living in Tamaqua. They used the wrong noodles (probably using whatever was on hand). It was coated thoroughly in butter and you could clearly see garlic, however, it lacked any taste at all. Helllo Yelpers. So this place used to be good and was one of my favorites. I will never go there again over my experience and phone conversation. I ordered over the phone and the prices were 10% more than what was online what is that they never said that to me. I talk to a girl and made a direct order then they charged me a convenience fee and credit card fee. The total meal was $33.07 for two plain pies we aren't in New York City. I should have walked out because of this but I didn't because maybe it's worth it. I don't mind paying for food if it good. Well it's not at all. The place used to make a $11.65 dollar after tax 16" plain pie what was decent for the price. They now make a $16.50 after tax pie that isn't even good. Reasonably priced, new Italian restaurant in Tamaqua. Although DiMaggios is down the road, the pizza at this location is much better. They have a great wings which come in a variety of flavors. Their salads are okay, but I would recommend this restaurant for their pizza, fries and wings. I haven't tried much else on their menu so I can't comment on their other Italian food. My family usually gets take out from here and the food is ready within half of an hour. It is inexpensive, quality food. read more

This is the BEST pizza I've ever had! Hands down the absolute best. Their sandwiches are also good. The sizes are on the large side and if I order a large I'm able to get 4 servings out of it. Delivery is always prompt and food is the proper temperature. Staff is courteous and if patrons don't expect to be coddled during their dining experience they will enjoys themselves. I love Pizza... This pizza is very good. Some of the better pizza I have had. My son had spaghetti, their sauce had a really good taste.

Luigi's is my go to place for pizza, hoagies, cheesteaks, and salads. It may not offer the most romantic atmosphere, but it's always tasty. The portions are on the larger side, but I would recommend the salads for lighter fare. Also, the service is top notch and welcoming. One more recommendation...the margherita pizza is always top notch! If you haven't been here before, stop in and give it a try. read more

Recently discovered this place. It's small and nothing extravagant. But the food is really good and prices are good too. My favs are the salads, hoagies and eggplant parm sandwhich. My kids love the broccoli bites. On a recent return visit I was super disappointed. Poppers were old and dried out. Eggplant parm was freezer burned and roll was old. Not going back. read more

we ordered a pizza at 6pm called them at 7 still not in the oven called them back at 7:45 it's coming out of the oven will be there soon. I asked what they where going to do about. The guy in the back ground started yelling when the girl asked him said they where busy do ya want the pizza or not call back another day and that was it. Waitress only came over to take the order and give the food had to go up to cover the bill, ask for take out containers and ran out of drink half way through the meal. Not happy with this place today. Usually the food is amazing and today it took 1hr 30 mins to get the food delivered it was cold and burnt.

I went there tonight to pick up pizza for my father and the young waitress was very rude and very spaced out. Then my friend order fries and when the other waitress with orange hair and heavier set went back to get the fries she put her hand in her bag and took a fry out and ate it & then brought the fries out and said here you go and you can see she's still chewing. I was visiting my granddaughter on Thursday, 6/13, 2019 and we placed an or over the phone. I ordered two buffalo grilled chicken salads with blue cheese dressing, one Caesar salad & an Italian hoagie with mayo, no tomatoes. We didn't get buffalo grilled chicken salad but plain chicken salad. They did get the dressing right though. The bill was correct, not the order. Whoever ever gets the orders ready need to double check the ordered called in before bringing it to us. We didn't call back to inform them. My fiance and I had been long time customers, even though there's always been an unfathomably long wait time for even the simplest of orders. But this time we had to wait over an hour, and when the food finally did arrive they forgot the drinks and the food was cold. We then had to wait over another hour for the drinks to arrive. This is nothing new and is a constant recurrence with them. When we called to ask what was going on, the owner was extremely rude, argued, and said "leave your house and come get your food". Their food is absolutely delicious. Should be for takeout because there is No alcohol. If you order for pickup, it's not that easy to pop in and out due to parking. A large tuna melt hero/hoagies will set you back like $13... now, to its defense.... it's real big... but, $13 for a sandwich is a little too much in my opinion. read more

Great cheesesteak! Sides were ok; service was slow. Prices are very reasonable.
