I ordered based on a recommendation from the server: the Stuffed Shells. Sauce was meaty, a little sweet, the cheese was VERY stringy (massive cheese pull), and the shells were full of light, delicious ricotta. My wife had a small stuffed with pepperoni and sausage. Crust was crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. Toppings were plenty and there was no space left missing a piece of sausage or pepperoni. All in all, a very good experience for a first time. We went here probably over 10 years ago and remembered it was good but couldn't remember what. Haha we went back again and it alll came back to us. My husband got the 12" pepperoni and sausage pizza stuffed and was only able to finish 2 pieces it was so filling. Excellent pizza he said. Cheese stretched as long as he could reach! I got the linguini and meatball and the sauce was amazing! It doesn't come with cheese on top like the spaghetti does but honestly the sauce was enough to make it a winning dish for me. It came with a salad and cheesy bread which was also good. May try one of their other sides to soak up red sauce next time. We splurged and ordered a turtle cheesecake to go and honestly was the best cheesecake I've ever had. I can't wait to go back again sooner! read more

It's not a cheap eats place, but just include your operating expenses in your prices and don't bother me by telling me you're hitting me with an additional 3.5% for using plastic. We stopped in for lunch on a trip up to door county after finding this place on Yelp. Food: pizza was hot and good with a great tangy sausage on our pizza. The Cesar salad was plenty for the three of us to share and was really good. Chicken Parmesan sandwich was just ok. Service: restaurant wasn't too busy and we were seated on the large outdoor patio. Service was a bit on the slow side-fairly long wait before we saw our waiter, slow on pop refills and slow with the check. Bottom line: decent food but service could be better. read more

Definitely not overrated. My wife has been going to Luigi's for years and telling me how good the pizza and sandwiches are. Now I "always" trust my wife's best judgement so I was not surprised by my dining experience. This being said is Luigi's doing anything crazy unique? Probably not. Hi everyone I went to this restaurant luigis in shawano wi. This was my first time there and we walked in and got seated. A little note we did not see any sign stating there will be a3.75 % and on to the bill because they changed credit card company and they get charged a fee for credit and debt cards. Anyway we order and get the food and we are ready to pay. Then I see the extra fee and ask what it was. She told me they change company and I said how was Supposed to know about this fee. She said it been there 6 month now and I told her I never been her before so how would I know. She just looked at me like I was a Idiot. Large group of us from out of town went to eat after not being able to find another restaurant open in the vicinity. Although the place was busy the waitress was attentive and the service was pretty fast. Gluten free noodles were surprisingly good, pizza was good, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was Excellent! Pasta meals came with salad and bread which was a plus. Just beware of the extra charge for using a credit card. Luigi's is a Shawano favorite for pizza and spirited drinks. My family knowing that I am foodie highly recommended Luigi's pizza and several of my family members said it is their favorite place in Shawano to dine. My father ordered up a couple of their gigantic football pizzas and they did not disappoint! Nice crust cooked consistently from center to crust, nice gooey real cheese and the jalapeños they use have a good kick. We ordered this on a Friday night and we finally polished off these two more than generous sized pizzas Sunday morning. I've had both good and not so good experiences here. Their food is very good and their staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and the ambience is fantastic. Their cheesecake is fantastic. :) I've never been unimpressed by their food. Delivery orders can be problematic. We were passing through Shawano, WI on a rental car road trip from Minneapolis, MN to Oconto, WI last Fall. We stopped here for dinner. We were tempted to get a pizza there, as they looked so good, but decided on a meatball parm sandwich sub and a Philly cheese steak sandwich instead. Both came with a side of fries and service was prompt. The food was excellent and the servers as well as patrons were all super friendly (Midwestern hospitality!) Took my fiance here for the valentine's night special. Very clean amazing atmosphere the staff was amazing and kind. The waitress was amazing always asked if we needed anything. The food was more then excellent it was amazing. We made a loop with the Inlaws a few weekends ago from Green Bay, Appleton, and up to Shawano and stopped in for a Late Lunch on a Hot and Humid Sunday afternoon. Inside was full so we decided to sit out on the patio, covered, out of the sun and very clean. Our waitress was excellent, and our pasta was perfect. It was okay. Three of us went last weekend. My wife had penne pasta with pesto sauce. She really liked it. she thought the garlic bread that came with it was dry and old tasting. She said the lettuce salad was okay if you like iceberg lettuce. Our friend had baked mostaccioli with marinara sauce. She said it was okay. Not great by any means but okay. Slightly flavorless. She concurred with my wife on the salad and the garlic bread. I had the sausage, peppers, onions, and mushroom sandwich. For the most part it was fine. Not the spicy Italian sausage I'm used to but it wasn't awful. The breadsticks I ordered with it were good. The people at the table next to us got a pizza which may have tasted fine but it looked like it had been frozen first. I'm glad we didn't order pizza. My first time to this location. The pizza was good, the pasta was good. Nothing exceptional. The service was great. Very friendly and courteous staff. Was really put off by a surcharge to use a credit card to pay for our bill (4%) on top of tipping 20% seems like an added dig. This is a cost of doing business. I was initially curious about the ATM in the lobby but after getting the bill, it began to make sense. Pay to use a credit card or pay to get cash out of a machine. Unfortunate. read more

No customer loyalty will never beat here again .I went there and had the seafood alfredo not knowing that the clams still had shells on them and shrimp still had the hard tails I took a bite and swallowed and something got stuck in my throat I tried to eat bread and drink water I immediately called the doctor the next day because I couldn't talk and she told me to go to the ER I went to a ear nose and throat doctor they put a scope down my throat and said that I scratched my throat and possibly my vocal cords I called immediately and talked to April and she said that the insurance company would cover that bill.. well of course they denied it and it will not cover it I'm very upset so now I get to pay $650 out of my pocket so I will never eat there again until everyone I know not to read more

I was a little disappointed they wouldn't deliver 15 miles away, but was glad we got our lazy butts out of the hotel and came in here to eat!
