    Scallops, lobster and Riesling!
    Lorie S.

If you only come hear for the old fashioneds and their deep fried bread you won't be disappointed. We spent half the night in the bar befriending locals, drinking cocktails and enjoying stellar popcorn. The staff takes your order and seats you shortly after. This visit I doubled up with scallops and lobster. I'm still resting comfortably in my food coma (worth it). The scallops were tender; the lobster rich and buttery. My indulgence continued after dinner with ice cream cocktails. I've been here many time while passing through great food and good service. Make sure to bring quarters for the juke box in the bar!

Stopped in on a Wednesday and ordered the Prime Rib, was the best I've had! Service and drinks were great. Salad bar was okay.

Great experience last night at Bavarian Inn. Just remember: Bring Cash!!…read more You start off at the bar with a drink, my go to is always a SoCo Old Fashioned and my husband had a bourbon. When you're ready to order, let the bartender know and you get a number. This indicates to your server you're ready to order. At this point you may be into your second + cocktail. Just go with the flow, you're at a Bavarian themed super club! Waitress will take your order and call you to your table when ready. Just go ahead, step up to the beautifully maintained salad bar with the best pickled beets, chopped chicken liver and soft cheese. We finished our salad and our appetizer of shrimp de'jonghe arrived bubbly and smelling of garlic. I had the tenderloin rare with the spaetzle my husband had the tenderloin tips, grilled shrimp and salmon trio. The salmon was the winner! Get taste and so moist. Just a fun supper club atmosphere, we're you belly up to meet strangers who become friends. Enjoy!!

Authentic German/American restaurant serving many great German meals. (And normal supper club…read morechoices, like steak and seafood too!) Going through some outdoor renovations right now, so don't judge the book by its cover. Inside this is a cute, well decorated German themed bar and restaurant. Bartenders are friendly and they have a full list of martinis and other specialty drinks to choice from (my wife loved her Lemon Drop Martini) including many after-dinner ice cream drinks! As far as German food, I didn't know that there were so many ways to make Schnitzel! My wife and I both ordered the Schnitzel Trio, which included a regular veal schnitzel, one with asparagus and Holliday Sauce and another called the Black Forrest. I liked them all, but would have to say the plain old regular one was my favorite. Dinners include a well stocked build your own salad bar. All meals also came with a choice of side which included sauerkraut, spatzel or potato. Meal was great, had fun at the bar with the locals and loved the service. Cash only however!

We have found our people here at Mark's and they are a happy bunch! From the moment we walked in…read morethe door, we were welcomed like long lost regulars. The atmosphere is that of a party ready to break out at any minute. Meet new people at the bar! But the food! Oh my, the food. Everything was wonderful - from the Scotch Egg to the Creme Brulé. A perfect steak, a generous plate of seafood. And an easy smile from our wonderful waitress Sarah, who seemed to be having almost as much fun as we were. Why am I 60 years old and never had a deep-fried sauerkraut ball with horsey sauce? Don't wait, just go. You won't regret it.

We had a great experience! The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free options…read more Almost everything can be made gluten free! They have a dedicated fryer and they make their own (gluten free) breading. I started with Mark's famous French Onion soup (you must have this!), them went on to the Bavarian platter that includes Veiner Schnitzel (oh damn, that was good), Bavarian sausage, smoked pork chop with apple sauce, and gluten free dumplings. My wife had the Reuben sandwich and onion rings. I wish they had a younger clientele. Younger folks would really enjoy their great selections! I didn't know how busy it gets, but they had plenty of tables open, although we came at about 5pm. The ambience was favorable to the dining. The lighting was intimate but not dark. The bathroom was clean and worth a good review by itself.
