We got into Gatlinburg around 9pm on Saturday night. Everything on this part of the strip was packed with the exception of Blue Moose. We didn't like the vibe or menu at Blue Moose and really wanted Mexican. No Way Jose's had poor ratings on Yelp, but we went there anyway and we were sat down immediately. Sooo good, we just ordered a buffalo pizza which was sooo good and was my favorite ( only one I had because I don't eat pork), Luigi special and a pepperoni sausage. Everyone really love the pizza. This is one of the few pizza/Italian restaurants in Gatlinburg. It was walking distance from our motel so we just got carryout to bring back to our room. The food is very average. Well the only negative was the sign said to seat yourselves, after that we had great service and so awesome food. Ordered an half and half large with Hawaiian on one side and the meat pizza. The crust was thin style, which I do not like but this was great. Nice and crispy on the bottom and the rest of the crust was nice and chewy. This pizza was not heavy on sauce but just enough to say here you go. The seasoning was perfect. Now they are very generous with the toppings and there was lots of cheese so cheesy that when pulling apart the last two slices you still had lots of the cheese as you pulled them apart. Pizza was amazing and Angela literally saved our life from a bear that was from you to the passenger beside you before we ever turned and realized it was there! As soon as we stood up she was opening the door and telling us to not run and stay still, then immediately started clapping and with some extra help it was running across the road up the hill! We stumbled up on Luigi's, and man are we happy we found it. We ordered a calzone to share and it was amazing! It was large enough that my husband and I got full with enough for leftovers. Came here on 11/08/24 to pick up couple of appetizers to go. Ordered Creamy Jalapeño poppers and Garlic knots. Initially was told that it will be out in about 10-15 minutes. I was willing to wait 15 minutes which is justified. However, Waited 40 minutes and then someone came and told me that they are out of garlic knots. I tried to get their attention twice before someone coming to tell me they coming to me and telling me that they are out of a food item. Spent 50 minutes waiting for 2 appetizers items. No apologies not any comp for having me wait for this long. Also the restaurant was not that busy that it would take 50 minutes for an order. Food is definitely 4/5 . Food was delicious! Big servings, big flavor. We did receive a salad with tomatoes after telling them about an allergy but it was very quickly fixed with a completely new salad.
