At the end of Parkway Ave right before you leave all the storefronts and head into the Wilderness again lies Crocketts which is almost small enough to miss minus the big 8-ft frying pan on the side of the road.. I visited with a family group of 10, and from the moment we sat down, the experience was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, quick, attentive, and made excellent recommendations that helped everyone decide what to order. Despite the size of our group, she kept drinks filled, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything came out correctly. The food was exactly what you hope for when looking for a hearty country breakfast. The griddle cakes were enormous, light and fluffy with a rich buttery flavor that soaked up the syrup perfectly. They had a slightly crisp edge while staying soft and tender in the middle. The Big Breakfast Platter was massive, loaded with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, and grits. That will say the first batch of grits that they gave me were horrible as they were clumpy and kind of cold however the waitress easily fix that and replace them with a hot bowl of brown sugar grits that I enjoyed completely, other than this Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and anyone who ordered eggs over medium were cooked just right The biscuits were some of the best we had during our Tennessee trip--large, flaky, buttery, and soft inside and out.. Whether eaten on their own or with gravy, they melted in your mouth. What impressed us most was that every single person in our party found something they loved, and everyone left completely satisfied. We were tasting everybody's food and still left with no one finishing their plates because The portions are no joke here. In fact, my only complaint is that there was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all, and had to throw it away before heading home because it was a 3-hour ride back to the house so If you're visiting Gatlinburg and want a memorable breakfast with generous portions, great service, and delicious food, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is absolutely worth the wait, and it is a long long wait. sometimes..

Delicious food & hearty portions. You could easily split the cinnamon roll. The super burrito had multiple types of meat in it and you definitely needed to be hungry. The roast beef eggs Benedict on a biscuit with sausage gravy and an egg was very unusual but delicious. The waffle had a delicious flavor and good crunch.

Great atmosphere and service. I came here a few years ago and got the breakfast skillet that had fried fish. It was amazing and when I came back they no longer had it on the menu. I'd request they bring it back. Today I ordered the chopped steak and eggs skillet and I had to take the pancake home with me. The food was good but they plopped the corn pone directly on my egg which I'd requested over medium and the white was still boogery. Everything else was perfect. My son got the bacon waffle and said it was the most amazing waffle he's ever had.

Disney meets Cracker Barrel!! Skillet breakfast was scrumptious! The griddle cake melted in my mouth! Highly recommend this one!

Terrible food. Either the food was a Mike Tyson punch in the face with salt, or bland. Nothing in between and most of the time it was the oversalt. Inside is nice. A perfect example of a business throwing in all their chips on the design and close to nothing towards the food.

Crockett's Breakfast Camp was an excellent spot to come have breakfast as a family on our trip! I highly recommend utilizing the waitlist on their website because this place gets so busy. The waitlist made everything easygoing and we arrived when we were told. The inside of the restaurant has a very rustic old time vibe. Our server was great the entire time and our food came out quickly. The griddle cakes are hands down the star of the show - best pancakes I've had in my life. If I knew they were going to be that amazing I would have just ordered a double stack of them alone and skipped everything else! The cinnamon roll is absolutely huge and a great bang for your buck! Highly recommend if you are looking for a yummy spot for breakfast!

First tip! Reserve a place in line ahead of time to avoid waiting as the wait times can be long. Service was quick and with a few hiccups, they were resolved very quickly. Food was delicious and Corned Beef tasted like no other I've tried before. Grits were delicious as well! My wife got the Jimmy Jose's scramble and it was really good. Pecan smoked bacon and Country Sausage were solid. Will be back here when visiting. Ambiance and Menus were pretty cool and we felt like we were at a camp!

Enjoyed a nice brunch here while in town for a couple of days. We had about a 45 minute wait for a table, but did go at a busy time. Once seated, we were waited on quickly and the food came out pretty fast as well. I had the black bear camp skillet. It was definitely too much food, but it was worth trying. We also tried the cinnamon roll. It was good, but I feel like it was a little dry for my liking. And you probably need about 4 people to even put a dent in it. The atmosphere was campsite like. There was a nice fireplace, some nice window seating and historical decor.

Very popular. Usually a wait. Ours was 45 minutes. Ambiance is very country cabin. The hostess was simply horrible. She was the most unwelcoming person I've encountered at a restaurant, and please don't speak a second language thinking no one understands. We contemplated leaving as we sat down due to this interaction. It was awful but we decided to give it a second chance and this all fell on the waitress. So, Irene came rolling up and for this reason alone I would give this place a five star review. She alone was amazing. Take note. The food. It was pretty good. Nice portions and delicious sides. The biscuits and pancakes are stellar.

First time visiting this restaurant. Sooo much food..... We ordered two skillets. This was the best way to try a lot of different items. The meal is served in a huge cast iron pan. Not going to lie, the pictures of their griddle cake (pancake) didn't seem appealing to me, but I was wrong! From the pictures, I thought the cakes looked dense but they were oh so good! The cinnamon rolls are phenomenal! Daughter ordered the healthy waffles and enjoyed. Granola mixed into batter made waffles enjoyable. Son ordered French toast and was gone quickly! And our server, Karen, was the absolute sweetest southern lady. Offered a few suggestions when she found out it was our first visit. Will be back!

Arriving in Gatlinburg, I knew I had to try the iconic Crockett's Breakfast Camp. I made sure to arrive early around 8 a.m., but there was still a long wait. What I really appreciated, though, was being able to join the waitlist online, which allowed me to stay warm in my car instead of standing in the crowded waiting area. Once there were only a few people ahead of me, I headed inside so I wouldn't miss being called. The restaurant has a very cozy, homey atmosphere that I loved. The menu is designed like a newspaper, which I thought was such a unique and fun touch. There were so many options that it was hard to choose because everything sounded good. For our food, I ordered the corned beef hash, which tasted very authentic and was overall really good. My absolute favorite item was the cinnamon pancake -- it was fluffy, flavorful, and truly phenomenal. I'm still thinking about that pancake to this day. My husband ordered the jalapeño omelet with a turkey sausage patty. He's not usually an omelet person and prefers his eggs well done, and without even asking, they made it exactly to his liking. He cleaned his plate. My mother ordered a stack of buttery pancakes and loved them so much she ate every single one. Since we don't live in the area, it was nice getting to try something different. If you're visiting, the pancakes are a must. Between the two, I personally liked the buttery pancakes more than the cinnamon, but both were very good. The turkey sausage was also great -- flavorful and not salty at all. The service was good overall, especially considering how busy the restaurant gets. Our server did forget a couple of things we asked for, and I was initially brought coffee without creamer or sugar. By the time I was able to flag her down, my coffee had gone cold and had to be replaced. That said, I could tell she was very busy, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. Overall, despite the long wait, we had a great experience. The food, atmosphere, and unique touches really stood out, and I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Gatlinburg TN.

My wife and I visited in mid-September, and really enjoyed our visit. Before I get to the review proper, I think we should have a bit of a caution regarding parking. For the entire restaurant, there are six parking spaces plus a single handicap parking space. If you show up when you are hungry, those spaces will be filled. And that means that you need to park across the street for $20/day (no hourly rate, no validated parking). Of course, this is pretty standard for Gatlinburg, because it's a tourist town, so why not? But that means that unless you are staying at the Day's Inn next door, you need to budget for an additional $20 above the cost of your meal ($48 + tip for the two of us). OK. On with the review proper. We got there at pretty much prime lunch time, so had several minutes of wait to be seated. The theme / interior of the restaurant is nicely in line with the log cabin / breakfast camp idea. Our server was great. We had the Crocket's Buckwheat Fruit & Nut Pancakes and Thick Aretha Frankenstein's Pancakes (with Blackberry Compote). Both were delicious. I really enjoyed the Aretha's as their thickness made them out of the ordinary. My side order of Corned Beef Hash was among the better CB Hash I've had. I also ordered a side of Cherokee Sweet Corn Pone. I don't recall ever before having Corn Pone. I really liked it, and will be both looking for it on menus in the future and also looking for a good recipe to try making it myself. Since I mentioned the meal price above, I need to also mention that we had a side order of quite tasty Pecan Smoked Bacon, one Coffee and one Iced Tea. So, to sum up, a really good breakfast spot, but when considering the cost of parking, it becomes a quite pricy meal.

Gatlinburg loves themselves a breakfast place, and this is definitely my favorite of them all! Come in hungry because portions are massive. I have not had the giant cinnamon roll but it is impressive looking! Like a giant steak with a big ole knife sticking out. Insane. The buckwheat pancakes are my go-to here and so delicious. There is a little homemade granola and fresh pecans in the batter for some crunch and the fresh strawberries on top are like the icing on a cake. Fluffy and not too sweet so you don't feel bad adding some syrup for the perfect bite. Menus are so unique like old newspapers and lots of Gatlinburg local history in the articles on the front to read and discuss while waiting for your food. Servers are kind and helpful and the bathrooms are super clean. 11/10 experience.

After watching 3 tables that ordered after us receive their food, I asked where ours was at and was told it was next. About 4-5 minutes later our food came out. Cold. Like it's been sitting for 20 minutes cold :/ if they left it on accident, they could've taken 5 minutes to remake and BLT and some French toast. Go a few feet further to Split Rail Eats, you won't regret it! Although the food came out cold, I will say the potatoes, BLT, potato salad and tavern toast were good. But they were all cold. I don't enjoy cold eggs or bacon so they were just a waste of money :/ Paying $50 for a BLT, Tavern Toast adding Eggs, getting our own drinks AND tipping 15% for them to take 35 minutes to deliver our food to us cold IMHO, isn't the characteristics of restaurant I'd promote to others. Had they stated they left it in the window too long and needed to make it fresh and we'd have to wait another 5-10, I'd be leaving a different review. We don't complain, that's why we didn't say anything at the time. We get things get busy and forgotten. Our food was definitely served cold so it was either intentionally left or forgotten. Either way, I don't ask for refunds for this reason. I share my experiences and let others decide how to vote with their wallets and choices. I'm not rude and demand to be refunded. I just don't function like that. Also no one ever asked if our food was good or we would've said something God Bless.
