Had Luigi's thru Skip so can't rate service/atmosphere. But what I will say ( and honestly), I will NEVER ERVER order veal cutlets AGAIN!!! This is the 6 out of 7 times that I have received cutlets over a year period, that I couldn't eat them. Cutlets are supposed to melt in ur mouth. Luigi's cutlets are nothing but gristle. I don't know who ur supplier is or how low the grade of meat is, but don't waste ur money on this garbage. $23.00 for nothing but gristle. I'm done!! Went there with my wife and mother in law. Order started soup which never arrived. When meals arrived the waitress said I forgot to tell you we are out of soup. I ordered the veal cutlets and it was hard to cut and extremely tough chewing. The same with my wife's steak. The spaghetti with her steak was very good. They did offer us a 10% discount on the meal. Was hoping to have the same experience we had at Luigi's Northside previously, but no comparison. Service was friendly but they really ignored us at a non busy dining hour. Will not return. Was just passing thru town and wanted a nice dinner. Picked Luigi's based on their menu not their old reviews. Was not disappointed! Had a delicious salmon and pasta seafood dinners, nice wine, and excellent service. It has a very nice menu from steaks, pastas and even pizza. I didn't have an appetizer because I know Luigi's gives healthy family portions. I had the 8oz sirloin steak and spaghetti with seasonal vegetables. It was cooked to order perfectly. The spaghetti, garlic toast and mixed vegetables were delicious as well. The service was top notch and the waitress didn't let my beer glass get empty once. I enjoyed the nice décor and the super comfy chairs in the lounge. Quality hand made pizzas and an Italian Greek inspired menu. Well thought out and well executed. They put on a decent banquet and can handle a variety of get togethers, work parties, functions, weddings etc. Over all good food, not great. However, their Thanksgiving dinner special was nothing special! 2-3 ounces of dry turkey, half cup of cauliflower, half cup of dressing, and a small side salad. I'm definitely a fan of Luigi's Steakhouse in Lethbridge. They've been in business for years, are family owned and have a lot of great options. The restaurant is a good size with a lounge, dining room and private dining section. The menu also has a lot of options: appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, mains and dessert. They're also with the times and have a gluten-free menu. Overall the feel to the menu is similar to Boston Pizza but offers better quality dishes overall with a specialization in steak and pizza. They renovated a few years back and still feel like a modern establishment overall. On my most recent visit I shared a couple different pizzas with my brother. If you like cheese you'll love their pizzas, they're very cheesy and delectable! One of my favorite pizza places for sure. There were also a couple salad orders at our table and a pasta dish. Everyone was quite content. Their draft beer selection is definitely a bit lacking, but Lethbridge has never been known as a big craft beer market like the bigger cities in all fairness. The bottled beer selection was average as well, but offered a bit more than the draft selection. However, their wine list is pretty decent as you'd expect from a place that identifies as a "fine dining restaurant". Service is always pretty good here anytime I've visited, this time the server assigned to our table was exceptionally good. She was very efficient, knew when to check-up, knew when to do refills and knew when to take additional drink orders; very on the ball overall! They used to be a bit better with having managers come around to see how tables are doing (this is always a nice touch for fine dining imo), but I haven't had this happen here in my recent visits. Really happy with this visit overall, food was great as was the service, prices are also quite fair but are definitely higher than pub prices, even where item offerings would be similar between the two. I tend to look past this given the atmosphere and quality though, I'd definitely be happy to come back and always consider Luigi's for dinner outings on my visits to Lethbridge. read more

We ordered the veal and it came breaded which it didn't say in the description as well was soggy and really not good. The veggies it came with were the only good thing about the dish. For a mid level independent this establishment gets full stars. It's not fine dining hence the 3 star rating. It's not a chain, decor is great and the menu is large. Very attentive service and good food characterized the dinner enjoyed by myself and my dining companions. My well cooked steak and shrimp were accompanied by a tasty selection of veg including roasted beets and sauteed brussel sprouts. My companions were happy with the veal marsala, saying it was proper veal and not a processed cutlet. Tiramisu was shared and my companions thought it was very good. I unfortunately never cared for this dessert no matter who made it and had the same experience this time. read more

I'm giving it 2 stars based solely on the fact, I'm not much on frozen meat, and tasteless again, however at least they had a rib-eye. I don't get all the fuss about Alberta AAA beef. Spent a night in the bar side of the restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was defiantly a shining point to the night. The Dominator pizza I had was sweet and spicy. It was a great combination and was very well prepared. Steak knives were given out with every cloth cutlery bundle, and were polished clean. Plates were clean and in very good repair. I was in luigis the other night to have a quiet dinner with my husband. Luigis is normally a nice place to go to sit and chat without the noise of loud music or sports in the back ground. What I did hear though was conversation going on between what seemed like mother and son owners of luigis about some serious divorce/custody issues in a previous marriage. Lethbridge is a very small town and I feel like the information I heard was not something I wanted to hear or need to know about. I feel like when u go out people's family issues are the last thing anyone wants to listen to. This conversation was heated and something that should have happened maybe at home or in the staff room. As much as we enjoy the food and cozy atmosphere I don't think I will be back to listen to family arguments and to see a grown man speaking to his mother in the tone the way this man did. Is there no way to give less than one star? Awful awful awful. Took over 25 minutes to pay when we were done our meal, as the woman at the front had a line of 6 and was off seating other customers. For a restaurant that seems to have so many staff and managers, it was not well organized. The food was average, nothing special at all. My fettucini carbonara promised "crispy bacon and onions", and all I could find was a sliver of an onion and flabby, undercooked bacon. My husband had the prime rib, and it was the toughest steak he's ever eaten. Not to mention that many of the things listed on their online menu were not available in the restaurant, nor did our waitress know about them. The waitress was unable to carry more than one plate at a time, and this completely wrecked our dining experience with a large group. One other thing that shocked me, is seeing our waitress put down a birthday dessert with a sparkler on top with an empty seat infront of it! We had to watch the poor old woman come back to her seat to a burnt out candle. Who thought to do this!! Awful quality and service for your money.
