We weren't looking for the most economical installation (although cost was a factor). We just wanted to find a competent contractor who would do a good job. Pablo and his crew showed up when he said they would, they paid attention to every little detail, they did not cut any corners, and, most importantly, they were flexible and tried to find creative solutions to install a fence in an area that was not measured correctly and on a surface that was not leveled. Despite all of the obstacles, Pablo and his crew successfully installed the fence as promised and on time. Javier flipped my kitchen and two bathrooms. His guys were good with framing but terrible with…read moreplumbing. In the upstairs bathroom, they had a problem with the toilet flange, and then poof! Problem solved! 5 years later, the flange was leaking and the ceiling downstairs is dripping. The toilet was glued to the floor with RTV and that was hiding a massive leak! Turns out they shoved in two wax rings on top of each other, and there was a cone that restricted the drain down to about 3". The cone prevented a flush from dropping immediately down the drain, and the wax ring sandwich leaked! The cone also caused a lot of clogs over the years. Now I have an almost $6,000 plumbing repair, I have to patch my ceiling, and I have a mold issue! There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it twice! I also found old cans of Modelo in my attic after the flip!

This review is for the solar system installation I had them do…read more I signed a contract with them in December 2015 and put down a deposit. They said they could start sometime in January. January turned into February. I never got any firm answers about when the installation would happen, just that it would be soon. February turned to March. I'm getting annoyed and still not getting any explanations about why there is a delay. In mid April, I finally get an installation date for later in the month. There were probably some other annoying delay details in there somewhere, but it's been awhile and I'm trying to forget the horror. To my surprise, Anthony does finally come at the end of April and finishes the job. Nick finishes the hook-up with PG&E in a week and I'm running. I'm ecstatic. Nick says that to compensate me for the long delay, they will install bird wire around my panels for free. (Note: you need this to keep pigeons from nesting beneath your panels if you have them in your area) As a gesture of goodwill, I refer one of my neighbors to them for a solar installation. I don't hear back from them for awhile. I periodically check back with Nick and he says they'll get to me eventually. In a few months, my neighbor tells me her installation is beginning. I ask Nick if they will be able to install my bird wire when they're in the area doing my neighbors install. He gives me the runaround and says they'll get to me later. Frustrated, I try a different tact. I say I want to add another panel to my system so they can make some money while doing my bird wire install. I continue to get the runaround. Eventually, Nick says that Anthony will come in November when he has an install in San Ramon. That date passes and Nick doesn't respond to my calls or emails. The next month, he tells me to ask Anthony directly about when he can come. I do this and Anthony ignores my inquiries. In the meantime, the pigeons have infested my roof and making a mess. My neighbor is complaining about all of the pigeon droppings on his property due to all of the birds. During the big rainstorms, I notice my gutters are overflowing....no doubt from clogging due to the pigeon droppings. After waiting a long nine months of broken promises and non-responses, I give up and hire someone else to do the bird wire job. Honestly, if they had just told me to pound sand, I wouldn't have had to waste my time waiting for them and give the pigeons a chance to mess up my roof. Remember, this is how they treat someone that gave them a customer referral! So in summary, long....long........long........delays before they start your installation, non-responsive customer service, and not following through on promises they made. What happens if you have something break while the system is under warranty? I don't think they will come out to fix it based on how I've been treated. I wish I'd have gone with one of the bigger name-brand installers.

I say this without irony: besides our children, Anthony was our biggest blessing of our ten year…read moremarriage. Let me tell you why. We hired someone we trusted to help set us up for success in our half-DIY kitchen renovation: build a beam for a supporting wall, add in other framework, and additional work with plumbing. Not only did all of this guy's work fail during the inspection, but he ran for the hills after collecting payment (luckily, not the full amount--we learned later though that he didn't deserve even a quarter of what we paid him). After more investigation, we learned that we were looking at a completely gutted kitchen with work that had to be COMPLETELY redone, from the new-but-wrong beam, to the plumbing. I was weeks away from delivering our fourth child and completely lost. All other contractors we called (and we called SO SO many) either didn't return our calls, were too busy, or clearly were delighted to take advantage of a desperate pregnant woman's situation and ride all the way to the bank. (Luckily, we were wiser by this point and were able to identify those people quickly.) Anthony was connected to us by some Facebook miracle and since January is a slower month for his usual business--solar--he was able to fit us in. The amount of work this man did in a week's time is extraordinary. He worked ALL day every day, not even pausing to eat, and dealt with the hardest of situations. Nothing he did was simple--even things that should have been still presented tricky problems that had to be thought through carefully and executed with exact detail. Not only was Anthony on site and doing all the construction himself, but he did so with level-headedness, craftsmanship, and a sense of honesty that completely blew my mind, especially after our first experience. I was brushed off and dismissed by other men we had worked with before; not with Anthony. I was treated with respect and 100% fairness, and involved with things--which I absolutely wanted. Also, the work he did was exceptional. Finally, every single thing Anthony did passed with flying colors with quite the picky inspector. The inspector clearly respected Anthony, his thought processes behind things, and his actual work. Because of Anthony, ALL our problems were fixed beautifully, we passed inspections the first time, and were able to move forward with our renovation so that this baby came home to floors and walls that we wouldn't have otherwise had without him. So whether you end up working with him on solar or construction projects, I absolutely cannot recommend Anthony enough. He restored my belief in humanity again (not an exaggeration). Both my husband and I credit him to blessing our lives during one of the most stressful times of our lives. Thank you, Anthony!!!!!!

Pierre worked hard but ended-up digging the site too deep, requiring me to purchase another $60 of rock, but that happens sometimes & is fixable so not a deal-breaker. Pierre was doing a good job of leveling the patio bricks as he built the shed base. After a few days and trying to contact him I wrote a one star review. Pierre contacted me immediately after my posting the review to let me know he had been injured on another job but hadn't contacted me yet with an update.. Given the new information, I have updated his score. I can't rate it a 5 as it's not done. If he returns for another job, he finishes it and it's a good job, I will happily update one more time to a 5-Star rating :)
