That adage may not be true all the time, but for Luyong's it may be. Luyong's is famous for its different types of pansit - bihon, canton, miki, with lechon or without. I've tried their pansit quite a number of times since childhood. Until now, their pansit has been consistently tasty. But a new favorite of mine is their siomai. I've tasted it at the home of a Chinese friend. Their version of this popular Chinese food is a rice ball with pork inside. It is probably the best siomai I've ever tasted. No sauce needed. This experience taught me that no matter how long you have been patronizing a restaurant it may still hold treasures that you have never tried.

That's when I learned of King Bee. Masinag seems to be the nearest to our place... even if it's really far away from us. For Sunday lunches with our clan, we go all the way to Masinag to pick up lunch. That's exactly what we did today. Our usuals are their Yang Chow Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Pork, Chopseuy Fried Noodles, Hakaw, Asado Siopao, and of course, Jumbo Siopao. These dishes from them never fail us. Their hakaw has the most shrimp I've ever seen inside a hakaw. The Jumbo Siopao is a mix of bola bola with egg, chorizo, shrimp, and mushroom. Plus, whenever I check the shrimp (yes, I do that), I always appreciate the fact that they take out the black string-like thing found in between the shrimp's body. Their siomai is pretty good too and I usually pair these with their Yangchow Fried Rice. So good! Serving size here at King Bee is always good to share so coming here in groups would be a good idea.
