We tried to cancel the hat he had started and just check out with the one hat that wasn't customized, but he made us leave the store once I said he did not have good customer service, I did not have an attitude and those were my words, he then went to say "do you guys a problem with me" and got up close to my face and told us that we needed to leave the store. I do not recommend going to this store if that make manager is there. He did not greet us nor let us just check out with the one item, once I complained about his customer service.

Walking around people asked if I needed help finding anything, which was nice to hear because you hear it less and less. I found decor for my playroom and for a great clearance price too it's worth looking in the back. Something I didn't care for was that two or three cashiers at the front were having their own loud conversation that wasn't very appropriate and they did not have the professionalism to cut the convo short for a minute and just resume after we checked out. The young man we had as our cashier though was incredibly professional and ultra polite. So I repeated the process and this time she said I have to call Corporate. It came up as a duplicate purchase. The manager comes over and he's TRYING to explain to me that it didn't go through. Until I pulled up my bank account and the debt is already out of my account. I showed him my account 3 times and he kept saying it will drop off. No it won't it already came out of my account that's why it's saying duplicate. After he comes back he brings a receipt that's 5 minutes after the first receipt that says voided in store. It wasn't a void. My daughter was being really polite but he came off as rude, very rude. He wasn't listening to what we were saying. His facial expression showed he didn't care it was his way or no way. He then said she has to pay for it ...again. I said no I don't want it. The two people working were amazing. They saw I was handicapped and needed just a little more help. They smiled and talked to me with respect just as I was doing with them. Bryce the manager was very rude and didn't care that it came out of My account all he wanted to do was mansplane to us. When my daughter asked his name he said it with an attitude. For no reason. No one raised their voice at him not once. I love Sephora but I will never in my Life go back to that location because of him. He makes no one want to shop. And they are having a good sale.

They have a decent mix of the two things you are apt to find in downtown Anchorage gift shops: 1) Wildly underpriced goods (magnets, t-shirts, bookmarks, wall art, etc.) made in China. 2) Very spendy items (soaps, salves, syrups, carvings, etc.) made in Alaska by Alaskans. This is my Mom's favorite downtown gift shop. The clothing and stuffed animal sections here are particularly massive. Though you aren't going to find any technical/pragmatic/outdoor clothing, this is all chiefly gear to let folks in the lower 48 know that you've been to Alaska. If you're a local, the advantage of going here is to see all the various Alaska-made goods in one place, so you can go patronize those individuals and companies directly.
