You grab a large brown paper bag, walk through the place and fill it with freshly made bagels and breads, and then pay what seems like some arbitrary low number they come up with while at checkout! When I was growing up, we'd go in here at 4-5 a.m. when returning from the city and purchase even 'fresher' bagels and breads if that's even imaginable! How you can still get this close to production and touch and take yourself is beyond me, but I don't care! I LOVE this place! Long live Rockland Bakery for never changing! I ordered cupcake jars to ask my bridesmaids to be in my bridal party. I had one friend who was local, and the other two I had to ship. Sometimes, Etsy shop owners can be a little bit stuck up and aren't willing to customize your order if it isn't what is listed on their site. However, Jean was the opposite She was warm, friendly, and flexible. Jean customized my order and even allowed me to pick up my cupcake jars locally to help me save on shipping. Not only did they taste amazing, but they were adorable and my bridesmaids loved them. I highly recommend the red velvet and chocolate peanut butter (my bridesmaids let me try them). Lastly, as if the delicious cupcakes and flexibility isn't enough, 15% of each sale goes to a cancer charity. As an Oncology nurse down at Sloan Kettering, when I saw that on her site I knew I was going with the right shop. Her talented baking coupled with her generosity have made me a very happy customer :)
