We shared a slice of chocolate and vanilla swirl cheesecake (good, but expensive for the size) and each had a drink. When we got to Savannah we decided to grab a drink somewhere before heading to bed for the night. Since I have a huge sweet tooth a chocolate bar seemed just the right place. A large group of different people come here and they were busy for a Thursday night at 10:30. We got a table in the back and we were given menus right away. We then had to wait for our waitress for 15 minutes. You could tell they were either short staffed or inexperienced. As someone in the service industry the place is not so large that 6 employees cannot turn it over in fast times. I got the pineapple upside down cake martini and holy sweetness! It was so sweet I thought my teeth would rot! The dessert on the other hand was fabulous. I got the strawberry suspension chocolate cake. The cake was light and fluffy without being overly sweet. I would make it if I had the recipe. Cute spot and if I lived there I may go there more often but wouldn't put it in my plans for future visits. read more

My wife and I stopped into Lulus for a nightcap after the July 4th fireworks. The space is warm and inviting with exposed brick (and cold AC). We had two martinis each: my wife had the Milky Way which she enjoyed so much she ordered it for her second round. I had a Key Lime Pie which was good but could have tasted a bit creamier. My second round was the Chocolate Mint martini and it was excellent. It tasted like an alcoholic Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie. We didn't have any of the deserts, but they looked excellent. The table next to us ordered a meat board which looked good. If you're looking for a mellow place to end the night, Lulus should do the trick. read more

When I first saw this place I didn't think it could get any better. Dessert and drinks combined... Yes! I was proved correct! I went with my mother, I had the Lulutini, she had a coffee cocktail, and we split a piece of chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. Everything was delicious, our bartender was friendly, and the atmosphere was interesting and modern without being too uptight. This is a great place to stop after dinner to enjoy a nice cocktail and some delicious dessert. If you're looking for a fun, interesting, unique bar then this is the place! Totaled to them charging me $25 for a single beer and $12 for strawberries...STRAWBERRIES. They tried to make it up to me by offering me a singular chocolate covered strawberry. Can I pay rent with a strawberry? Can I pay car insurance with a strawberry? Yeah, that really made things better.. not. Get your shit together. Also the red headed hostess was incredibly rude the entire time even before my approach. They have responded saying they immediately reversed the charges and claim their hostess is sweet. All that is total bullshit. Hope this place burns to the ground. And they acted as if $20 is pocket change and not a big deal. I'm honestly scared for people to visit this place. I personally am not worried about $20 but if they do this to hundreds of people per day... that's a problem. Fuck this place. read more

Came in for dessert and a cocktail, left chocolate wasted!! While shopping in Savannah, my daughter and I had a craving for something decadent. Discovered Lulu's close to where we were. We had chocolate raspberry martini and chocolate peppermint martini and for dessert - tiramisu cake and a multi layer chocolate mousse. Absolute heaven!! Drinks just perfect and desserts were light, flavorful and GONE! Amazing drinks, amazing desserts and the staff were warm and entertaining - kudos to Caleb and the rest of the crew for a great impression and a memorable experience. We were not fans of either dessert that we purchased. It cost us $18 and change for two slices of cake to go. One tasted so strongly like alcohol (the strawberry suspension cake) that neither my husband nor I enjoyed it, we each tasted a bite and tossed it. The chocolate hazelnut cake was slightly better, but the cake itself was dense and dry, and the frosting was mediocre. It didn't suck that it also had manchego, prosciutto, seasoned nuts, olives, crackers, crostini, grapes, jam and whole grain mustard :) AND it was very affordable! We enjoyed one of a plethora of martinis and chocolate stout (for the hubs). The meal finished with a shared mousse tower that I had to close my eyes to properly appreciate! Visited Lulu's while I was down to see my best friend and this place is fabulous! Not only are the drinks gorgeous, but they are just as tasty to match! I got the spiked hot chocolate and the citrus rose, a perfect floral cocktail to awaken your inner fancy pants. The highlight of the night though was our server, Michael. He was so helpful and kept coming outside to check on us, even though the place was packed. I feel like we could have easily been forgotten at our outside table in the corner, but Michael was swift, knowledgeable, and very personable, making sure that we had the perfect night. Very disappointing experience. This place is only open for like 4 hrs and it's still not good enough to just simply go in and get a drink. The employees had us wait outside until maybe 10 min before close. We get inside and they tell us that they're done serving, and the dessert supply was very limited to maybe 3 or 4 options. The guy at the register seemed to have a little sarcasm in his response to us not being able to order drinks. I use to love spending my money at this particular bar, but the hours and customer service isn't up to my expectations & standards. My friend Jen and I come here every week! We love this place! Jill, Trey Janine and the other bartenders are amazing! We both have a goto drink here, mine is the expresso martini and hers is the st germane cocktail. Jill has brought in mint from her home garden to make mojitos for us! They have these amazing cherries that are out of this world. We've on a couple of occasions gotten a cheese tray, and of course some sweets!
