    Hush puppies

We made a reservation for this restaurant a few days before we arrived in Savannah. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy, but it wasn't overly packed. We started with two bird of paradise cocktails, the hush puppies and the beef tartare. The hush puppies were excellent. They were light, fluffy and delicious. There was a green sauce draped over them, but it didn't need it. The beef tartare was really great. My only complaint with the beef tartare was that it came with so few of those thinly sliced pieces of bread. We needed more of those based on the portion of the tartare that was delivered. Upon looking at the entrees, we weren't impressed because there were a few items that initially grabbed us about the restaurant that were no longer on the menu, so we paid for our drinks, appetizers and left for another restaurant option only a 7 minute walk away from Husk. It was a great decision.

Came to Husk for brunch on a Sunday morning. Snagged reservations for when they opened at 10am, quickly sat but came to find out there is no alcohol served until 11am so be warned. We decided to try some of their mocktails- the little bird and spark plug. Spark plug was very light and refreshing, a great mocktail. For food we tried the deviled eggs, white lily biscuits with gravy and hot fried chicken. Deviled eggs were okay, biscuits were very tasty, chicken wasn't very spicy. Overall still a good meal though!

Had a lovely dinner at husk. While we couldn't get a reservation, we wound up going to the bar, where there was no wait. We both got cheeseburgers (no onions) and thought they were the best we've had in Savannah. Wish they had real french fries, they do wedges. We tried the pork rinds - didn't care for them and the bartender was nice enough to take them off of our bill. Also had sticky toffee pudding - it was good, but not as good/authentic as ones we've had in the Edinburgh. Wine pour was a little on the weak side. All in all - would recommend coming for burgers at the bar!

My boyfriend and I (locals to Savannah) dined here to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. We enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail of the restaurant and wait staff. The restaurant was beautiful. We were sat by a window in a room that had a few tables and a fireplace. I wish the fire would have been on! We were unfortunately very underwhelmed with the food we were served for the price point. Our dishes were good, but no specific flavor profiles stood out to us or were special. The sauce that was with my steak didn't taste like anything. We ordered the pimento cheese platter for an appetizer and it was fine but we ran out of crackers. Lastly, I enjoyed the wait staff answering our questions to the menu but the length and depth of the responses was a bit off putting and made us hesitant to ask any further questions or ask for the dessert menu. I would give this restaurant another try but would be weary to do so & would have to go in with low expectations so I am not unfortunately disappointed again.

Ate at the bar this past Saturday and had a great experience. If you sit at the bar they have a bar menu as well as the regular menu to pick from and you can mix and match, which we did with the deviled eggs from the bar menu and then our other 4 items from the regular menu. Deviled eggs come with a pickle slice on top and I was a big fan. The tuna was nice and think and the sauce was unique. I am a lover of pimento cheese in general but this one comes with chopped collard green stems on top - I typically don't like collard greens but it works on this dish. Not enough to knock it down a star but the beef tartare is covered in breading which I didnt care for as much. Bartenders give amazing service and are friendly, as is everyone I've ever encountered there. Not the cheapest option in Savannah but consistently good food and my wife and I have this in our monthly rotation.

I was so disappointed in this meal. I had a bad run of food around town and based on the menu descriptions I thought this place would save me. But :( . We ordered - some mocktails: not incredible but I do appreciate they were more complex than just juice - the biscuits: recommended by our server, these were the only saving grace in their perfect buttery flakiness and subtle seasoning - salad with oranges: this was just fine, not notable - the steak entree: while the steak was good, the cucumber topping was way too vinegary and distracted from the potato's - the duck entree: so dry compared to the good Chinese style duck in the Bay Area Overall, this was such an expensive meal for it to be so mediocre. Maybe this place should rebrand as a biscuit cafe? Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - limited street parking nearby

Husk Savannah's Southern charm shines in its warm, inviting ambience. Very convenient and a quick walk from our hotel. The charcuterie starter disappointed, too simple and barely enough for 2, with mustard as the only highlight. The meal came out so fast we had barely touched our starter before our mains arrived, so we were a little taken a back and felt slightly rushed. My Hunter Cattle beef was decent but uninspired, lacking flavor on the potatoes or beef. The purée was good and light. My wife's shrimp and grits, however, were phenomenal. I wish I had stuck with my gut and ordered the grits. When paired with the white Lily biscuits her bowl was completely cleaned! Service was exceptional! The grits were a standout, but inconsistent dishes made the experience uneven. Worth trying for the highlights.

We have been to Husk many times and this by far was our worst experience. We started with the hush puppies which were overcooked and flavorless. The oysters we got was the best thing we had all night. I got the duck which I have had before but this time it was not seasoned well nor was it cooked correctly. The fat was not cooked down and it was a little overcooked and hard to eat. The sauce a smoked parsnip purée was broken. The side that it came with was not very good either. It had too much of a vinegar flavor. The Shrimp and grits were good but still not up to Husk standards that we are use to. We will definitely be back because we have had nothing but good experiences from there. Everyone has an off night. Every time we go the service is always amazing.

You can never do wrong with Husk. They are friendly, treat you as family. Honestly if you don't go to the upstairs bar you're missing out on the best experience. Rebecca, Beckie, Brittney are the best bartenders and care you for want you to have the best experience. Their food, I can't say enough. The smash burger is the best. Their pork rinds make a great start to your night. Please if you're in this city you gotta come to this place.

Yum! Beautiful! Classic! Complex flavors! Southern! We ordered the shrimp & grits, fried chicken, deviled eggs, oysters and potato wedges with a side of truffle hollandaise sauce! All of which were amazing. The building is set in what seems to be an old, elegant southern home with many well-decorated rooms. The restrooms were also super pretty! The best thing about our meal was our dessert which was their peach bread pudding. Loved every bite!

We had a large party of 15, but they split us up into 2 separate tables across the room - I think that was the only downside. Food: everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. We had everything from salad to catfish to biscuits. Ambience: It's a good place for smaller groups or dates. Larger groups can get split pretty far apart. Swanky, modern, bright vibes.

I dined here on a Friday night with my family. We made a reservation & were seated upstairs. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The quality of the food we ordered was great. I appreciate the serving sizes aren't massive. The chandeliers in the house are very nice. It's an old home they've converted into a restaurant. The restaurant can be noisy, at least the room we were in was. We had a very loud party next to us. Overall, a 4/5. I'd come back!

We booked an 8:15PM reservation outdoors, but we're worried about it being too chilly. Are there heat lamps on the outside patio?

I do not recall. Temps were in the low 70s and upper 60s when we there and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Small Dogs on the outside patio?

You can call. But I don't think dogs are allowed.

    What is the parking situation?

    Crowded Savannah downtown parking

    Are there vegetarian options?

    Yes of course

My wife is hard of hearing, noisy places are difficult to carry on a conversation. How's the noise level?

They have smaller dining areas available you might request. The upstairs is a large room with high ceilings. Even there, I don't feel the noise is overly loud.

What is the dress code like? I am looking at taking customers here for a business dinner.

The place is magnificent and the attire is business casual. But dressing up would not be out of place.

Do they have a kids menu?

I did not see a kid's menu when we were at Husk Savannah. There are certainly enough side dishes or smaller portions that would suit a child. The menu always features hamburgers or cheeseburgers which is one of their most popular items. I think… Read more

Going for the first time tonight! What's a must have cocktail and app?

It's hard to say as their menu changes daily. The salads are good and fresh and there was a wonderful mushroom soup the day we stopped in for lunch. You can't really go wrong with what you decide to order.

To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.
