I've been here 4 years and have been searching high and low for anything Haitian (other than the art and square downtown) and was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by to grab coffee and saw Haitian baked goods. As a Haitian, this place is the real deal! The pate (meat turnovers) were SO good. This place needs more attention. There are eleven fresh squeezed juices and other baked goods go vegetarians and vegans. Very cool! I met the owner, and she is so lovely. We had a great conversation and her energy is divine. Stopped by today & I'm so happy I did! The owner is the sweetest soul & you can tell she really loves what she does. I didn't dine in but the atmosphere was lovely. I had never heard of sugar free sweet potato pie in a bakery. It was incredible!! I'll definitely be a repeat customer. These are some genuine homemade (grows her own potatoes) sweets. This small business owner offer items with a dash of Caribbean flair. I had the apple pound cake and it had hints of all spice and was the perfect balance of sweetness. Those who wish for sweeter options can choose between a variety of cakes or cupcakes. Sold by the slice or the entire cake. Baking done on the premises. I went back a second time ( a good sign) but items I wanted to try were not available. Coffee and wraps are part of the menu. The owner also makes special beverage tonics (tumeric, ginger, etc.). This is my first Yelp review, so pardon me if it's a bit romanticized. "Unforgettable, That's what you are . . ." I found this charming (hidden gem) of a bakery on the day they were celebrating the Haitian Independence Day (January 1st) in 2019. From the moment I stepped through the door, even though this was my first time there, I was welcomed like family. The food was delicious, the service on the first visit was like I had been coming there for years, and the celebration they offered, a mix of storytelling, Haitian art, and music, made me feel like a wide-eyed child exploring a new world. Upon leaving, Belinda Baptiste, the delightful owner of Unforgettable, came over to hug me, and thank me for spending this momentous day with her family, of which I was now eternally a part of. Why have I not visited Unforgettable Bakery before? I have no clue. I had the pleasure of attending a meeting held at the bakery & loved everything about it. Firsty, the food was great. I tasted the chicken salad, pasta salad, and key lime cake. Secondly, the rosemary limeade was not like anything I have ever tasted; it was unique, earthy, & refreshing! I literally had 3 cups of it! Lastly, the owner. She was overly hospitable, personable, and after speaking with her a bit, I learned that she is truly altruistic. Unfortunately, I forgot about Unforgettable Bakery. It was one of the first coffee houses we went to before we moved to Savannah. I felt a little guilty when the owner remembered us. I won't soon forget how delicious Unforgettable Cafe is! Our family allergist was actually the one to suggest it and I'm so glad that he did! From the food to the friendly service, this local gem is 10 stars! It's a bakery with a purpose and makes already yummy food taste that much better. They're known for their cakes which I haven't tried yet but definitely will. They have flavorful vegan varieties that even us carnivores will gobble up. The black bean soup is so good. We also got the sautéed chicken wrap and I'm Drooling just thinking about how yummy it was. The Griot (pronounces Gree OH) was different and delightful.
