It's not your typical pick and choose the 4-6 flavors/cupcakes you want that day, but it seems like they do have monthly mixes/specials dozen at times. This was the only thing that prevented me from trying it since I probably shouldn't eat a dozen. :X LOL. There's only 2 people in our house, myself and my fiance (our dog Bacon does not count!). So I reached out to Emily via Facebook since she had a dozen of her March Cupcake Craving and asked for half. I appreciate that she did. $20 for a dozen (or $10 for 6, in my case) is really good, but I think that's the promotional price. Anywho... on to the cakes! Our mix included: Chocolate Chip Mint - Okay, if you like mint. He doesn't. Chocolate Malted Crunch - Pretty good. Irish Kissin' - Just OK for us. I think it's mainly because we really liked the last one. Vanilla Cookie Dough - OMG. NOM. We both really loved this one. Overall, we'd consider their cupcakes for our wedding. But I'd probably want to try a few other flavors (something fruity, salted caramel, s'mores, maple bacon, etc) before we decide. I'll probably look out for more Cupcake Cravings to order for my next wedding planning meeting or to bring to work. But the search continues!

After requesting to place an order for a cake I would need the next day the staff was more than happy to accept my order. Originally, I would have liked to order a carrot cake but those cakes need to be ordered at least a week in advance so that was very much my fault. I ended up going with a classic tres leches cake which tasted wonderful. Miriam was the one to help me out. Bonus points for having the same name ;) Miriam made great detailed questions to make sure the cake was exactly what I wanted it to be referencing off a picture I had showed her as inspiration. From size all the way down to the smallest details, Miriam disclosed information about how certain designs or details I wanted would change the presentation of the cake, and made sure I was delightlfuly satisfied with what would be the result. She broke down every last detail including how the icing would likely stain our mouths and very nicely reassured me that it would rise right off with water swishes. Overall I was incredibly satisfied with the service I was given, and I greatly appreciate how Miriam thought about every question in order to complete my desired vision.

Not only did Krista accommodate the order on such short notice, she personally handwrote my note and had everything ready for pickup right when the shop opened the next morning. The cupcakes looked absolutely delicious, and more importantly, the ICU staff genuinely appreciated the gesture. It meant so much to be able to support my friend and her family from afar, and Krista made that possible with such care and thoughtfulness. During a very difficult time, she provided a small but meaningful way to say thank you to the people providing essential care. That kind of service is rare. The bundtinis are so cute, but they are only sold by the dozen so I usually get the bundlets. I've tried their lemon, red velvet, and classic vanilla. You can't go wrong with any of these flavors. Their Timeless flavors are: S'mores made with Hershey's, Carrot, and the Classic Vanilla. Festive flavors are: Oreo Cookies & Cream, and Confetti. Refreshing flavors are: Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and White Chocolate Raspberry. Gluten-Free flavors are: Chocolate Chip Cookie and Lemon Raspberry. Their Pop-up flavor right now (7/6-7/19) is the Cinnamon Roll Cake. During my visit, my friend has never had bundt cakes here and wanted to try the lemon, which is always a hit. I still had a few months left prior to expiry, so I waited until a day when I'd be in the area, and they were offering a premium bundtlet, whose upcharge would be covered by the free individual bundtlet reward. This Nothing Bundt Cakes in Norwalk opened recently, like less than a year ago. They're located in Civic Center Plaza on the northeast corner of Imperial and Norwalk. If you recall where the Wood Grill Buffet was, that's pretty much where Nothing Bundt Cakes is now, though a new building had to be constructed there. I came on the last day of May, which I had thought would have been the last day their Banana Prepared with Nutella would be on their menu, but Nothing Bundt Cakes sent out an email the following day announcing the extension of this specialty flavor. I arrived close to 3 PM on Sunday, an hour before closing time. There was just one female employee in the shop, and she greeted me as she was cleaning the front countertop. I asked if the Banana Prepared with Nutella was still available that day, and she confirmed it was. I was about to hit "Redeem in store" on my phone until she asked for my phone number so she could redeem it on her end. After telling her my phone number, she knew my name and was able to deduct the 600 points from my points balance. She grabbed one of two Banana Prepared with Nutella bundtlets remaining in their display case and put it in a rather tall Nothing Bundt Cakes gift bag. Right as I left, another customer came in and asked if they still had the Banana Prepared with Nutella, to which the employee answered affirmatively. That customer actually wanted two of those bundtlets, but I only saw one in their display case, so unless they had more in the back of the shop, I got really fortunate. What's unfortunate, on the other hand, was my carelessness at handling the bundtlet on my way home; I accidentally toppled the bundtlet, detaching some of the frosting from the cake in the process. This made the cake look like it came with smushed frosting. so the photos I've posted are not indicative of how this Nothing Bundt Cakes prepares their bundtlets. I had asked that employee how long that particular cake would last, and she said 2 days even though the norm for their cakes is 5 days, but I think the banana would cause that flavor cake to have a shorter lifespan in the fridge. I ate half of the bundtlet the next day, and it was exactly what I expected, except for the slice of banana on top. I thought it would have been softer like a real banana, but this was much firmer, akin to a banana chip. Did I like it better? Yeah! Forget banana and peanut butter; I'll have banana and Nutella instead! lol I finished the other half the following day, and it tasted just as good. I liked how the banana flavor was evenly dispersed throughout the cake whereas it seems most other flavors are too dense for me to enjoy the actual flavor. I believe the bundtlet would have held up well for a third day, but I also believe the taste would have deteriorated quite a bit on the fourth day. According to the Nothing Bundt Cakes app, the Banana Prepared with Nutella is $1.50 more than a normal flavored bundtlet, which is $6.99. A couple of their other flavors are also worth an extra $1.50: Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl, Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie, and the Gluten-Free Lemon Raspberry, though the last one was listed as not avaliable that day. Inside the shop, they have plenty of merch for a variety of occasions, like birthdays, sporting events, and, most recently, graduations! Whatever the occasion, just know that you won't have to make an extra trip in case you're missing some decor for your celebration! Overall, a solid Nothing Bundt Cakes shop that met my expectations! Norwalk is lucky to open a location, but even if this location runs out of certain flavors, the Downey location is just four miles due west.
