After that project went so smoothly, we decided to again have Floor Town replace flooring in two rooms plus a hallway in our house, this time using sheet vinyl in one room and carpeting in the other room, hall and stairway. Again, everything was done beautifully, even though our house is over a hundred years old and, as such, has some quirks. From the beginning it was a pleasant experience when we went to the Floor Town showroom and Michele, our salesperson, greeted us. We looked at possibilities for flooring there and narrowed down our choices. I had an idea of what I wanted, and Michele presented various options. Her ideas were invaluable: For instance, I went in sure that I wanted ceramic tile, but she also suggested the luxury vinyl tile which we now have in our kitchen. It is not hard, cold and subject to cracking, but has the same look as ceramic, and I am grateful for her suggestion. Then Michele came to our house with the samples we had chosen in the store, and we made the final tile choice. She was patient and knowledgeable, and thus the final result was exactly right. She did the same thing again when we chose flooring for the second carpet and sheet vinyl project, which also resulted in complete satisfaction. In fact, she brought an additional carpet sample to our house besides the ones we had found in the showroom. The carpet from that sample is now the one we have on our floor, because it was perfect for the space. I also cannot say enough good things about the guys who did the installations. They were not only precise and professional in their work, they were also pleasant and unobtrusive while they were working. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience!

He is now in the process of refinishing and staining the floors in our new historic home. I'm very pleased with how the project is progressing. We had a French drain installed and never another issue with water. Now mom's house is getting ready to be sold but she's had years of water issues. We couldn't ignore it any longer so I called them again and in 2 days the main part of the job is done. They will be installing a sump pump for mom and again they hung plastic to keep the dust down they move items out of the way and day one the basement was trenched. Tomorrow the outside work begins and the drains will be laid out. After inspection they will be back to put the cement down clean up and done. They were meticulous and timely in their work. Recently we had an issue with our sump pump, we could smell sewer water and had a lot of drain flies coming. Lou, came right away, and helped us get to the cause. It was the main sewer line from the city had backed up to our house. A small part of our drain had to get fixed as a result and they did it right away. Outside of this one issue, which wasn't due to their work, our basement which would get flooded all the time has been completely dry. I recommend A-1 waterproofing all the time.
