If you are looking to have a French drain or sump pump installed this is the company to call. This is the second time using them and both times they were phenomenal. 13 years ago after buying our new home we noticed water coming up from the floor in the basement, I searched for a company and landed on them. We had a French drain installed and never another issue with water. Now mom's house is getting ready to be sold but she's had years of water issues. We couldn't ignore it any longer so I called them again and in 2 days the main part of the job is done. They will be installing a sump pump for mom and again they hung plastic to keep the dust down they move items out of the way and day one the basement was trenched. Tomorrow the outside work begins and the drains will be laid out. After inspection they will be back to put the cement down clean up and done. A-1 Waterproofing's worked on waterproofing our basement, in 2021. It was a large project involving digging up the old floor, leveling it, adding in multiple pumps and French drains, and we ended up having to redo all of our underground pipes. They were meticulous and timely in their work. Recently we had an issue with our sump pump, we could smell sewer water and had a lot of drain flies coming. Lou, came right away, and helped us get to the cause. It was the main sewer line from the city had backed up to our house. A small part of our drain had to get fixed as a result and they did it right away. Outside of this one issue, which wasn't due to their work, our basement which would get flooded all the time has been completely dry. I recommend A-1 waterproofing all the time. read more

Roland was very knowledgeable, professional. He specked out the job to deal with the moisture problem in my dirt crawl space. Roland knows waterproofing and is a trusted professional. the crew worked in very tight spaces in a 2 1/2 ' deep crawl space to waterproof it with a rat slab. better than encapsulation. they worked on their knees and bellies to lay out drain mats, pvc pipe, gravel and a vapor barrier before mixing the concrete in barrel mixers and using a bucket brigade to pour the concrete all while working on their knees. there where 10 men working on the day of the pour and 8 men when they where laying down the drainage mats , pvc pipe, gravel and vapor barrier all while working on their knees. the crew was on time, did excellent work, were spotless with clean up and used plywood and plastic sheeting to protect the surrounding area to keep a clean job site. The only company you need for waterproofing or foundation repair. I would never use anyone else. They are the best and with Roland planning the job you know is will be done right, a man to trust. read more

Roland is fantastic. Put French drains in only one portion of basement and said would solve problem. Two other outfits wanted to do entire basement- about 4 times more. Well this solution did job. Has also installed battery backup and came right away when pump failed. Definitely recommend. read more

Jeff came to our house and was amazing. We had some hairline cracks in our foundation and he immediately put our fears to rest. He did a thorough inspection and patiently explained why it was a simple fix. He even talked himself out of a job by telling us exactly what to get from Home Depot, even though we offered to hire him for the patch work. Would like to share the sentiments of the other reviewer on here but can't. I actually called them based on that review. I called because I initially bought my house with level floors, with a pitch in the dining room floor which was repaired. Over the last few months noticed my floors aren't level anymore and they are wavy. The same issue that was repaired on the one floor is back. I called to ask them if someone could come out and take a look/give me an estimate. I called for an estimate and was told I would be contacted later that day for an appointment but never got a call back...I guess they don't want my money, or a potential client. read more

Luis and his guys are the best in the business. We bought a large home in Montclair that had not been properly maintained since 1911. We had severe water problems in the basement. The house had no gutters, but this was not the problem, instead a high water table. In less 10 days they installed French drains, Ergres windows and water proofing membrane to the walls. All the water now drains to the town water runoff system and the basement is dry as a bone.
