After an extensive search for new area rugs and runner for our new living room, we went to FloorTown on Route 17 Paramus, NJ at a recommendation of a friend. Steve, the Sales Rep. really helped us select the best carpet to match our new furniture. Price-wise, FloorTown was comparable and even more reasonable than some of the other carpet places we had visited and gotten prices from. The area rugs and runner were cut and bound to our specific desired sizes. This allowed us to get the sizes we wanted instead of keeping to the standard 4 X 6 or 5 x 8 and we even got a custom sized carpet for in front of a settee. We never would have been able to find all 3 pieces in our desired sizes in the same color already made. The carpet that was cut and bound on site to the desired sizes came out beautifully! The work was done to perfection. No complaints at all. We also ordered a designed runner for our steps and risers. With 2 pie shaped stairs, I was afraid the pattern would not match up but Senad, our carpet installer, did a superb job. Senad and his colleague arrived on a Saturday morning, as scheduled a few minutes early in fact, and worked until everything was done. Like I said, they cut and bound the area rugs on site and installed the stair carpeting. They were professional, courteous and efficient. Since I had old carpeting on the stairs that they had to remove prior to installing the new stair runner, they were accommodating and we worked out a plan: they removed the old carpeting from the stairs and then went to work on the area rugs allowing me the time to clean the stairs and apply Rejuvanate and have it dry before they worked on installing the stair runner. They knew that they were doing. We also had the pleasure of having the store's Project Manager, Kenny stop by to see how things were going and if we were happy with the installers work and the products we had ordered. We have used Floortown for 2 different projects in our home over the past few years and have been completely satisfied each time. The first time we used Floortown was for the installation of a basement carpet after a major flood. They worked seamlessly with us throughout the process of insurance claims and restoration, recommending and installing a beautiful carpet as quickly as possible after the basement was completely dry. Our most recent project was completed in December when they installed a gorgeous engineered wood floor in our family room. My husband and I each stopped into the store several times separately, as well as together, so we worked with at least 3 different employees, including Dave, the owner. All the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful as we made decisions involving aesthetics and practicality regarding the best floor for our space. The installation was completed in the time promised with little to no mess by considerate workers. I was especially excited that they took care of obtaining and painting the new floor moulding that was also installed. The day after the job was completed, I called with a concern that weather stripping under a door appeared uneven against the floor. The foreman and an installer came back the next day and we agreed that even though everything measured correctly, an adjustment was needed to appear visually correct. This was our 2nd major renovation project, so the research and expectations were quickly assessed on searching for firms to oversee the hardwood floor refinishing of our new home. We chose Floor Town, and they were the real deal. We dealt primarily with Michele, who responded promptly and courteously, and was a genuine pleasure to work with. It was imperative to get all work done before we moved into our new home - Floor Town leapt into action and kept their word, completing all work done on the date promised. Really impressive, beyond expectations, and high-quality work! Michele also gave us such great advice and insights on our floor that we ended up expanding the scope of work we wanted done after the house closing, to include replacement of the bedroom carpets. and were happy to do so. The owner Dave was great too, giving us recommendations on contractors for other non-floor work we wanted done. I recently bought a floor from floor town. What a wonderful staff. Michelle , a lovely lady came within two days to measure. And within two weeks they were there to install. Pedro, a sweet spirited man was so meticulous. I left the house for a few hours and when I came back he was finished. He came to me very apologetic saying he ran out of tiles. I had no idea it looked finished.i told him leave it it looked beautiful. He said no it wasn't perfect, and he just wanted it to look good for thanksgiving knowing I was having company. That following week they we're back and completed the job. The owner even called to apologize. It really wasn't a problem. From the first appointment to the installation and follow up service, the team at Floor Town was a pleasure to deal wth. There are so many choices for flooring, but to find a company you can rely on for quick replies, quality products, clean and professional installation, and great follow up can be a challenge. I was very pleased with every aspect. The job was done quick, with no sacrifice in quality. They demo'd the existing floors across the whole house including tiled areas, they re-nailed the entire subfloor to eliminate squeaks and the new hardwood floors were glued and nailed. I received excellent service from Floor town, specially from Marnie. They were able to accommodate me on short notice, the work was impeccable and the floor came out beautiful. I used water based treatment with ebony stain and the floor looks very natural, without any of the oil/varnish coating that is often noticeable on refinished floors. Best of all it was truly 100% dustless, ready to move it. They worked fast (2.5 days for 2 floors, sand, stain, coat), the crew members were clearly experts and gave me good suggestions. I recently had a beautiful wood floor installed in my dinning room by Floor Town. They had a great big selection to choose from. The wait time for the floor was just about 2 weeks, they installed the floor around my time schedule. The installers were great, they wasted no time, they were friendly and very neat. Excellent store. You have to go in and inquire about some kind of Rhino Carpet. They put a Rhino in a cage with a carpet for 30 days and it was able to be completely cleaned. Hilarious someone would test carpet like that. I can only imagine the smell, P.U. stinky stinky. Anyway I was in there with my friend and they had their carpet installed from this store and they were very happy. They did a good job because they shopped several locations and decided to use them. read more
