First time buying firewood in bulk. Always bought from the supermarket and home improvement stores. Doing research, I found 'Lumberjacks', and, tried them out. Spoke to them on the phone and settled on delivery date and one face cord. On time, they came and carefully unloaded the firewood into my driveway. Nice touch that, during the unloading, the driver stopped 4 times to come around to move some of the firewood off the truck - climbed into the pitched trailer even. He went back and forth like this to make sure nothing hit my garage door or surrounding areas. What do you know, a company that cares about the little things. I stacked the wood as I wanted to. And, started up the fireplace. The Kiln Dried wood is fabulous - clean, dry, starts right up, plenty of heat, very very nice. If you need firewood, then go to Lumberjacks - wherever you are. A friend watching my home while I was out of state called me to let me know my furnace wasn't working. Getting the furnace repaired was going to take a few days. I called on a Saturday morning and Lumberjacks adjusted their schedule to deliver firewood for me same day, so I could heat the house when I arrived with near freezing temps overnight. Ordered a face cord of 16" Oak delivered to Island Lake. Their office and delivery staff were polite, communicative, accurate and efficient! Price was reasonable and competitive. Wood is kiln dried and ready to use, but get it under cover before substantial rain, of course. What's not to like? This is our fifth year with Lumberjacks. Today we drove 1.5 hours to visit Lumber Jacks. Brian, the experience was amazing, thank you for the tour. This is the only place we've gotten wood from in the last ten years. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that some years the wood hasn't been thoroughly dry and has popped when burned and sent embers out of the fireplace. Delivery is fast, and I've never had an issue with customer service. read more

Lumberjacks provides clean dry hardwood that is great for using in my offset smoker. I just bought by second 1/4 face-cord of mixed cherry & hickory. They are very nice & very helpful in getting me just what I needed. I will be getting all of my smoking wood from them in the future. read more
