Pathway around the side of the house. Seamlessly mates up with older concrete.
    Christina M.

We hired Lumby Concrete in December 2023 to pour a new parking pad, replace a cracked section of our driveway, pour new front steps, and a pathway around the side of our house to match up with some pavers in the backyard. Prior to work starting, Travis came out to look at the site and take measurements. He explained the process, answered all of our questions, and offered suggestions when we weren't sure what the best option was. He also sent over an estimate afterward. Pricing was more than fair for the work we were having done. The demo and pouring of new concrete took 5 days. The crew showed up on time every day and the site was cleaned up daily. Travis would call at the end of the day to let me know what had been completed and what they would be working on the next day, which I really appreciated. The whole crew was very courteous and made sure no vehicles or debris were in the way for our neighbors. We are so happy with how everything turned out. We've even had several neighbors (unsolicited) tell us how nice everything looks. 11/10. I would highly recommend Lumby Concrete. They take pride in their workmanship and in making their customers happy.

I am so grateful I came across this business on Yelp! Travis was a pleasure to work with on my concrete project. He showed up when he said he would, was happy to help me work with my HOA to get my request for a new patio approved, and communicated exactly how the project timeline would occur. I'm really excited to host my friends and family with the new backyard space!

I was looking to have some concrete put in as well as cool decking. I did some research and, through yelp, one of the companies in landed on was Lumby concrete. I met with Travis, shared with him what I wanted to do, and he explained to me what it would look like from his end. I have to share, whether there be a timeframe, a time he'd be there, or overall cost, Travis was spot on. Our deck looks phenomenal. Thanks of Travis and his team. He is responsive when you call and if he tells you a time he'll be there or what he's gonna do, that's exactly what happens. Great experience with Travis.

Travis poured a pergola slab and a storage shed slab for me. He and his crew were so professional and amicable. What a pleasure dealing with a contractor like this!!! They don't get any better!! Incredibly beautiful job!!

Awesome work and it looks amazing. Very happy with the project. Travis gave some suggestions to make it better.

Travis, Mike and team did a fantastic job and I am very pleased with the driveway extension. I have already been asked by 2 people for their contact information. I really appreciate the dedication to their craft. I look forward to it drying as it has only been a couple days since they finished this work. From the time he had given me a quote, he was always communicating and setting expectations. They showed up at 645 for 2 days and were done by 11.. His crew completed the cleaning as soon as they were done. Great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking to do large or small projects.

Now we can finally enjoy spending time out in our front , year round! We had Lumby concrete start our front yard project with this new patio! They were AMAZING! They handled every detail for us making this project as easy as possible for us! I highly recommend Travis and his crew all day everyday!

After, no more dragging garbage cans through dirt and rocks.

TL;DR version: if you have any concrete related project, you can hire Travis and his team with no hesitation. They stand by the quality of their work, and the entire process shows. Simply put, Lumby Concrete is the definition of a professionally run local business. Excellent communication skills, willing to explain any part of the process, able to provide clear feedback and advice, show up on time, treat their clients' property with respect, and provide an amazing product/service. I wanted to expand my back patio and connect that extension to my garage. Travis (and his father Mike) were able to meet me on site and walk me through the entire process. They were also more than happy to work with my request of having a designated area for a future succulent garden. This company knows what they're doing, provide fair pricing, and deliver a final product I will be enjoying for many years to come. Thank you Lumby Concrete!

Travis, his dad, and his team showed up this morning exactly at the time we agreed, prepped my sunken living room, coordinated the pump and cement truck, and finished the job within a few hours. They were very clean and cleaned up after the pump contractor and cement truck. It was refreshing to work with a professional crew to get an outstanding product. I am very satisfied.

we wanted a path to match the pool deck and we wanted a gap in between. The color is spot on

Okay here is a few of the reason we chose Lumby Concrete. First they called us back. I don't know about you but that is a good sign because some companies won't call you, if your job is two small. Thankfully that was not the case with Lumby. In fact my call back was with the owner Travis Lumby, and that to me is a bonus. I also appreciated that he was willing to work with me via text, message because I was able to send him photos of the work I wanted done. Okay that is my Second reason of why you should choose Lumby Concrete. Our third reason we chose Lumby Concrete was because we all want to save money, have the best bid, and have the dream of what you want to become a reality. We wanted a path way put in at our new home from our patio to our side gate. We also wanted the color and texture to match what was currently in place. In Choosing Lumby Concrete we got all of that. Travis was honest, and straight forward on the cost, which was affordable and reasonable for having our project done right. Travis and his crew where great to work with, and we would recommend them for any job BIG or SMALL that you may have.

Ask the Community - Lumby Concrete

Is there a way to stabilize the cinder block pillars that my side pedestrian gate frame attaches to? They are wobbly and one side is leaning. New gate install scheduled but the gate guy said might want to fix that issue before installing new gate.

Unfortunately there is not a good way to fix that without rebuilding your columns. You could potentially dig out around the base down to the footing and pour more concrete around your bottom block if elevations allow. Most of the time it’s not the…

Alonzo took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and explain the structural issues contributing to the foundation movement. I was genuinely impressed with his technical knowledge and ability to clearly articulate the root causes of settlement, as well as the engineering principles behind the repair system being implemented. He demonstrated a strong understanding of load transfer, soil conditions, and long-term stabilization methods. It's refreshing to see someone who not only understands the installation process but can also confidently explain the "why" behind it. I had a great experience getting the free estimate from AFS. Due to a miscommunication, I missed…read morethe initial appointment. David S., the estimator, was very understanding. We talked on the phone. I had many questions. He took the time to answer them all. With rescheduling, the office staff were always friendly and accommodating. David S. was knowledgeable and informative, but never sales-y. After the inspection, he emailed a report with the measurement data, a diagram of the home indicating where repairs would be made and several options. No repeated calls or pressure to schedule work soon. The foundation stabilization and repair options included installing helical and push piers, underpinning, the poly filler, stem wall patches and repairs. There was a lot offered and the overall total was very costly. I do understand I'm not just paying for getting the piers installed, but all the knowledge, time and coordination to get there. After the initial freak-out at seeing the cost, I know I can discuss with David S. what parts are critical and how to reduce the total. There were various degrees, like a base package versus something that had more features. Some items AFS would be contracting out, so there's potential to save if I hired those contractors directly. I believe the specialty of AFS is installing piers. If you only need foundation patching, you might search for structural concrete specialists. As some reviewers noted, utilizing AFS will be much more expensive in those situations. Ask your contact. If you're a homeowner reading this, you're probably worried about some things you've seen in your home. The last thing you need is the added stress of someone trying to get you to sign off on a project. Of course, if it was urgent...fortunately, my home isn't in danger of falling down tomorrow. I'm grateful AFS provided a no-cost, no-pressure assessment. David S. provided the data for me to make an informed decision. He didn't use any and fear or pressure tactics. When hiring a contractor, I want one that I can have a collaborative conversation with. I can't speak to the installation itself, but if I decide to go with piers, poly fill or underpinning, I feel good reaching out to David S. to further discuss and make changes to the solution. I haven't decided on what to do with the foundation. There are more urgent home repairs. I also wanted to make sure I found root causes and to make sure those were addressed. Something I learned through this process: if you're seeing signs of foundation settlement, look for areas that are wet by pushing a stick around the perimeter of the house. Even if unused, sprinkler systems, irrigation or service lines can have water leaks that will cause the soil to expand and shrink. Those lines need to be repaired or if unused, capped off. I have unused sprinkler lines running right along the back of the house! Oh, after scheduling the appointment, AFS sent a book about foundation issues. It cost a bit to send. I support reducing waste. If you don't want the book, I wonder if you can ask them not to send and email a link instead!
