I was simply... disappointed. From the lackluster dip powder choices to my nail tech's inability to file. Despite correcting her several times, my nails still came out misshapen and my right hand nails are longer than the ones on the left. I was excited to try for the good reviews, but I won't be back. The staff however, was friendly.

Service is always amazing! The nail techs really take their time which I always appreciate. I usually get regular gel tips and it lasts me 3 weeks! Decided to try out UV gel with french tips last time and loved it. Wish they did more nail arts though but other than that, I like coming here a lot!

Went to Lumi nails last minute after reading reviews here. I called to see if they were taking walk in or only appointment. They are mostly a scheduled appointment type place, but Priscilla told me if I showed up within the half hour, she would take me, and as promised she did. I received a gel pedicure and it was one of the better pedicures I've ever received Carmita did an excellent job, removing old gel first with a really quick method and groomed and shaped my nails with such care. She is excellent. Priscilla is the gem of the establishment, warm , friendly , and funny. Covid protocols are in place, and they do their best to make sure everyone is comfortable. I liked it here so much I will be returning tmw to get my finger nails done, and I never get my hands done. Great service!!

It was my first time here but I have a lot of friends who come regularly so I decided to check it out. I loved my whole experience couldn't be happier with my gel nails, everyone at Lumi Nail was so professional and nice, and the interior was clean and smelled nice (did not smell like acetone at all). I will definitely be back!

Came here 2 weeks ago with mom and they do quality work! The owner Priscilla was sweet and friendly and her crew mean business. Mom got chrome nails and I opted for gel. They are appointments only - plus ! There are plastic barriers- plus! Sanitize when you walk in and between customers- plus! Amazing service.

Everytime I come to Lumi Nails , they do such an amazing job! I got the dip powder & always do such an amazing job! I love the owner! She's such the sweetest person ever! the person who did my dip powder nails did a wonderful job' I'm in love with it! The person who did my nails was Cecilia, she did it so neat and with so much care! I will forever continue coming here!

Today I went to get a gel manicure for the first time after the lockdown and as soon as I walked into Lumi Nail salon I was welcomed by Priscilla, the owner, who is very friendly and caring. They're taking all the precautions to keep customers and staff safe during this COVID19 situation: temperature check, hand sanitizing and a signed waiver, everyone wears their masks, they have plastic curtains between the stations as well as Plexiglas protecting the manicurist and the customer. After I finished my manicure, Priscilla handed me a thank you gift (green tea hand cream)!! Wow, that's what I call exceptional customer service! I highly recommend this nail salon and won't be changing anytime soon.

So I am updating this review: I have been coming to Lumi since November with no real issues however my last three gel manicures have peeled off within days of getting them done. They will fix them with no problem. However when I came to have my nail fixed today, the owner Priscilla tried to tell me that I was the problem and that I could find somewhere else to go if I did not like how my nails were being done. When in fact I never said any of that she was upset because a customer sitting next to me was also saying that she had experienced the same thing. I have spoken to other people who actually recommended Lumi to me as well and said they had similar experiences and if you look at some of the older reviews you will see some of the same complaints. Today was the first time Priscilla has been nasty and I am disappointed. She tried to make it seem as though I was speaking negatively of the girl who did my nails and that was not the case, each time she fixes my nails I still tip her as well. What Priscilla tried to do was say I needed to switch to dip powder which is significantly more expensive. I definitely will not be coming back here. As it seems Priscilla is unable to take feedback and they may be using cheaper gel polishes now to force customers in to higher priced services

OMG this salon is one of the best in the Bronx So my long-time manicurist left where she had worked for years and her boss is SLOPPY. two things I don't tolerate is sloppy nails and messy hair. So after having two messy manicures, I started to do research on nail salons in Westchester and the Bronx. I found a number of salons but there were so many complaints more than good reviews. then I found Lu-mi I read all the things they said about the owner/manager Pricilla but it was the nail pictures that drew me in. The manicures were all done to perfection and there were no missing areas of polish or powder. So I made an appointment and I was not disappointed. I first spoke with Pricilla and explained my situation and she assured me that if she has her girls do my nails I will be very happy. I arrived at 10:30 am and was taken right away they soaked off all the crap that I had on my nails and started off with a clean slate. The ladies there are professional and very friendly, my nails were done to perfection. This is now my new nail salon and i have now had my nails done twice so far. I attached my Halloween nails for you to see. They also do Gel pedicures Awesome no dry time. So if your in or near the Bronx this is the place to visit and tell Pricilla that Kecia Sent you.

I came in with an ombré reference photo, asking for exactly how it was pictured. The nails were fairly long and when the nail technician put the tips on, she kept complaining about how long they were, asking if I've ever even had long nails before,etc. Not only did the shape come out terrible, but the ombré could've been done better as well. I asked for the shape to be fixed a little and she attempted to but I saw it was hopeless. I had to go home and shape them MYSELF after paying over 60 dollars for something I strongly dislike. The owner was kind and accommodating, though. Guess this place can work for some people but not for people with nail interests like mine.

Amazing nail salon! The owner is there making sure everyones nails are done correctly and the ladies that work there are very nice and pay a lot of attention to detail. Definitely my new go-to salon! I got the sns powder done

I've been to a lot of nail salons, and none match the customer service of Lumi. The staff is kind and talented. The facilities are clean and comfortable and they have a great color selection. Prices are fair and they do a great job. Highly recommended!
