I have been coming here for years and I've always left satisfied with my service. I have gotten pedicures, manicures, and massages usually with David but if he's on vacation other techs do a great job as well. I live about an hr away and have tried many times to find a place near home that I like and nothing comes close to the quality of service they provide. I used to go here faithfully and I usually went to Annie for my Gelx. She does an amazing job and she is very patient and attentivie. She would always make sure I was happy with the shape, smoothness and everything before finishing up. I unfortunately cut back on going due to pricing going up and it becoming to expensive to maintain. I've probably have gone back a few times since and I was unhappy with the experience. I would go in naturally for a filling (without Annie unfortunately) of my Gelx. The times I have gone, they would cut my nails without my permission, not do what I ask, charge me to shape two nails, do a crappy paint job and then start talking aggressively in their native language when the tip matched the service provided. I went last week for a new set of gel x after I asked to file down the gel that was already on my naturally long nails. they filed down the old gel and the person doing my nails cut my long nails instead. i told them I didn't ask for that because I specifically asked to remove the old gel and to apply new and whichever nail was broken we can put tips on it. person did what they wanted and then responded with "oh". I said just give me a gel manicure instead. He left gel x on my nails and then proceeded to paint over it. So my nails were bumpy, chipped and uneven. I absolutely love this nail salon. They're professional, clean and do a great job. My daughter and I do our nails every two weeks and spend anywhere from $120-$200 each. I did a hard gel fill in and gel pedicure ($165). The staff were friendly, everyone wore their masks, and they attended to my needs. They are following COVID guidelines. Great experience today at Paradise Nails. I did a white gel mani with a simple design to end the summer & spa pedicure. Sandy was very gentle with my hands & feet. She asked before doing anything (cutting cuticles, cut nails or file, etc ...) which I appreciated. I went in for a gel manicure. I asked if he can focus on my cleaning more than anything. Did not ask how I wanted it shaped, did not soak my fingers to eliminate the dead skin or hang nails. To focused on the quickness of the job rather than understanding what I wanted. When I spoke up during the cleaning, he got defensive and was a little rougher, kept saying it's good now, but it was not! They also charged me for soaking when he already drilled my old gel off "wrapped it in acetone for less than 2 mins, to then file it off" $39 for a horrible job. Not worth any penny. They have been wonderful both times I've visited. Hannah is very friendly and greets you with a big smile (you can tell from her eyes, since she is masked, like every other nail technician). I appreciate that the chairs are cleaned between clients and that up to date COVID precautions are practiced by staff and patrons. Hannah did a wonderful pedicure, so incredibly neat and Hellen did an amazing job with my manicure. My nails are perfectly shaped and polished. During COVID I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to do my nails and keep me safe but they've handled the pandemic in the safest possible fashion with screens and dividers separating everyone and by not allowing guests to wait in the salon for the person being served. The salon is clean and friendly and serene. The quiet atmosphere makes this place a wonderful place to visit after work to get your nails done or to grab a quick massage. I would not recommend going here. They are very expensive and charge an additional $8 if you pay with your card. What cost me $50 including tip around my way cost me $91 at this place. This was my first and my last time I go here. They really scammed me. They don't tell you a service fee of almost $8 would be charge if you pay with card and they expect you to tip as well. He really said "how much you wanna tip" and if I was tipping with card or cash, like he was demanding it. There were so many things wrong. I only went here because I had an appointment at the urgent care so it was more or a convenient thing for me. But I will never go there again. I wasn't satisfied with how my nails came out. One star cause we were walk ins, but from there the service was trash. Did a mani-pedi done by Leo. First it started off okay, then went bad. Leo didn't even clean my toe nails, just removed my previous gel that I had and filed my nails. I had to remind him about the cuticle oil. Get to the mani, my nails were already sorta shaped straight square. He misshaped my thumb, wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. How can you misshape a straight line? Gel was place poorly, it's been 2 days and it's already lifting. My sister wanted Gel tips, in which they were trying to charge her 97$ for, with nothing special done, no design, just plain ol' black gel. I asked why they are changing her 97$ and he said acrylic set is 47$ and 20& for tips. That's 67$, where did it add up to 97$? They got upset because I spoke loudly on the price, told my sister that's not worth it so she did a mani gel instead. From there, all the nails techs started talking amongst themselves, probably talking badly about us, but I didn't care, you're not about to scam my sister. The whole experience was horrible. Please take your money elsewhere, they are absolutely 100% not worth a penny. They're better places in the Bronx, that'll do a great job without trying to scam you and then proceed to talk about you and stare at you in the process. This place will rob you for your money, and then claim that it's your fault that you don't know their prices. I've never been a huge fan of the work, but they're very clean and sanitary and that's hard to find, surprisingly. I've been a customer here for about a year, and today I saw Michael for an SNS manicure. He's been my go-to for my last few appointments. I picked out a rose gold, TOLD him that I've never gotten SNS before, and like I asked him the last few appointments, and he's never achieved it, I asked him for an almond shape. He says literally nothing through the entire service, and I get my bill and it's an additional 20.00 for add on services that were never once discussed. What add ons, you ask? Oh. The nail "reshaping"; which in every other place is PART OF THE SERVICE. They're still round. Nothing was reshaped. And an additional 15.00 for the metallic finish. I wasn't having it. I very POLITELY explained that when somebody adds on a service, the cost needs to be explained, and that it wasn't fair, and that they needed to take it off my bill. Well, they then actually attempted to SHAME ME for not knowing THEIR prices. He said he assumed I knew their prices. Hey, remember when I told him it was my first time ever getting SNS? TRY AGAIN. He called some woman over and then she started arguing with me as well saying that I should know their prices. She attempted to show me the sign above the back of his head (which literally says nothing) trying to be smart, when the end of the sign says "prices need to be discussed before the beginning of service." When I read that part out loud, the woman became pretty infuriated. She also felt like we, as the customers should know their prices. I worked in the beauty industry for years, and this is the first time I hear such a thing. They still were saying I needed to pay it. At that point I just wanted to get the hell out of there so agreed to pay that ridiculous reshaping fee, but still refused to pay the addition 15.00 for that metallic monstrosity (that wasn't even properly applied.) Y'all, that's when Michael said, "if you don't want to pay for it, then I'm taking it off your nails." Ok, Peppermint Petty. I said "ok, fine." And then he has the audacity to complain that now he has to do extra work. Hahaha I just sat there quietly as he took it off, hoping the other patrons were silently judging the ridiculousness of it all. When he finished he said "next time you need to ask me the prices." When I started raising my voice at this point that's when he dropped it. They still had me pay the reshaping fee, which again, learn how to do an almond shape. I'm honestly blown away by the lack of customer service and the sheer thievery that occurred today, but that's fine. I'll find somewhere that has better than mediocre work, and never be robbed of my money ever again. If you sit down with Michael make sure you ask him what the price of everything is before he touches your nails! In fact, just don't even go inside because they might charge you for breathing the same air as them. read more

I was excited about this place but there are a few reasons why I will not return: -The nail tech didn't properly remove all of the previous nail polish from the edges before applying new polish. I had duo-colored nails. -There were lint/dust particles that she simply painted over. She could have brushed my hands clean or asked me to wash them but she was too distracted chatting with one of the other techs. -I asked for ONE flower design (I have medium length nails), she couldn't do it. She wiped off the design 3 times before I had to just give up. -My nail tech kept having side convos with another tech as mentioned before, which made her work considerably slower -Even after alllll of that, she still tried to pressure me into a 15% tip even after I said no. I would have asked for a manager if I hadn't been in a rush. I'm so sad this didn't work out for me. read more

I used to love this place but their new prices are ridiculous. They used to allow you to get different colors (not designs) for free now they charge an extra $5 for each different color you use.
