I wanted to keep supporting this place because of the owner but, her employees have gotten dangerously lazy !! No exaggeration. Back in March for my Bday I wanted to do my nail and ask for a pretty standard simplish design , the pregnant woman who did my nail said she could do it. I was left with thick nails , that were misshapen, and crooked thick design not at all the kind of work I was used to. I spoke up but the owner lowkey made me feel like it was my fault for not saying the obvious, she did fix it after seeing me so upset for the first time. So , I gave this place a second chance... On to today where I am on a flight to Singapore and going to have to figure out possible urgent care or nail salon cost to avoid possible infection. The women who did my nails (braces , short and Hispanic with darker features) , left a hangnail on my toes and cut me on several finger nails! I also noticed them snickering and being unprofessional around customers, along with nasty attitudes. Listen we all have bad days , but if you hate your jobs don't make paying customers suffer. While this is only nails to some it can lead to serious infections as I also doubt they ever cleaning anything properly to. So fair warning to anyone . I can no longer support a business like that. Especially after paying hundreds of dollars and praying now my toenail will be ok, free front infection or losing now my good nail. Straight up chop shop!! read more

This is an email I left the establishment explaining my experience. Hello, I love the way you ladies do nails ..I got mine done yesterday for my birthday and it looks beautiful. But, the lady who did my nails gave me a hard time. I wanted short almond nails with a pink French design. The lady told me almond nails can't be done short...huh? I see it all the time. Then she told me the design I wanted could only be done with gel... I didn't want gel, I didn't book gel and the design I chose was very very simple. So I told her to try the design on one nail (regular polish) to see how it looks and she told me that I need to "decide" what I want. I knew what I wanted but she was making it difficult for me. In the end the design came out exactly like the picture so I appreciate that, but the length is not what I asked for. I am now stuck with long nails. I think your salon does beautiful art work but as a paying customer I think it's important to listen to what the client wants. I was very polite and understanding and like I said the design came out beautiful, I just wish your employee would have been easier to work with. Hopefully next time I'll have a better experience. They did a fantastic job! Recently moved to New York and have been searching for a great nail place and this place checked all my boxes. The pedicure was very thorough. She took her time to make sure that my nails were clean and even went back to cut a small piece of cuticle right before the polish. They used an exfoliating scrub on my feet and calves which was amazing and something I haven't had before. She even made sure to fix part of the toenail that was digging into my skin without hurting me. The spa pedicure was $20 and was WELL worth it. I moved to a desk and chair for my manicure. They put a fan at my feet to help my toes dry which was very nice. I had hard gel extensions on that were very grown out. While I was getting my pedicure, they used cotton and acetone to soak my nails so that it was easier to take off and they didn't have to be ripped off like other places ive been to. The manicurist used the electric drill to remove the polish and a top layer of the hard gel tips and then reapplied the cotton to soften the remaining layers more before she removed them. I have extremely weak nails and they have never been so strong before! She didn't even have to cut my natural nails because none of them broke! I decided on just a regular manicure (which was only $10!!) to let my nails breathe for a while and the application and precision was perfect! The shape is equal on each hand and my cuticles look soooooo healthy. They gave me slippers as I came in wearing sneakers but when I left they asked me if I wanted to wear my sneakers and I said yes but I didnt want my toes to be ruined but they said it was no problem. They applied oil onto my toes and put ceran wrap around them so that my toes would not smudge in my socks and shoes. It was genius! They have every service you could want and the prices are fairly reasonable. ($30 regular acrylics, $65 hard gel with tips, $7 removal) Their color selection is huge! They are extremely nice and make sure that you are receiving the best service. They are also just a few steps from the BX9 if you are taking public transport. Helps if you speak Spanish but if you don't, you will have no problem! I 100% will be back! read more

I love the perfect match collection as it ensures my gel mani matched my pedicure (I know a little ocd - but makes a girl feel together). The staff is very friendly. I originally wrote a review and took it down, but after my most recent experience with Jhanna (the owner) I felt this had to be said. I visited the location twice, on my most recent visit, while trying to give them another chance, my gel manicure began peeling and lifting within 2 days as well as my regular pedicure. I was not given the design I asked for, and was charged $8 for it. I reached the business by Instagram DM, no answer. I contacted them this morning and was told to come in to remove the paint job free of charge. Great gesture right? Until I arrived and was verbally harassed by the same Jhanna over having written Yelp & Google reviews. My gel polish was roughly and barely removed. I have cuts on my cuticles from the filing of my nails. Then I was told by that same nail tech who did my nails both times and this removal that my nails were too thin and thus is why the gel lifted. I've never heard that before but ok. Overall this location as can be supported by the other reviews, is solely for Spanish speaking women who don't mind the rude and inappropriate treatment from staff and clearly management as well. And if Jhanna wishes to verbally harass me further for this review, my number is already is her possession. I will gladly reach DOHMH to complain of the unsanitary practices, specifically the use of non sterile metal tools. read more

The only positive that came from this place was that I didn't wait long to be seen...other then that it was terrible. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. The manicure was good except she didn't color my nails well AT ALL and my nails are mishapen completely. The pedicure was the worst! They didn't wash the tub before putting my feet in them and she didn't ask whether I wanted them cut or filed down and just filed them down and I hate the way they look. Horrible, racist place ! Do not go here if you aren't Mexican decent ! They only take care of their own here. This isn't my first encounter with them. Upon entering the establishment, you are not greeted.. but buzzed in and they ask if you speak Spanish. Then once you say "no" they tell each other to say "no service, appointment only", "no servicio, solamente cita". A young lady walked in after me and spoke Spanish to the workers " I don't have an appointment I just want a new set" and they told her to sit there that she would be next. Then continue to say "¿Yo no se porque esta morena esta todavía aquí?", translation "I don't know why this black girl is still here?" Horrible experience to be here with my young 3 year old. They all were fake cleaning and wiping down objects saying even if they don't have current people here we are busy cleaning... they were fake dusting down things and telling each other to ignore me and say "appointment only". That's how they "turn down" black customers by saying only by appointment. Last time I walked in they let me wait for 45 minutes. Until one worker told me to go ask the other worker if she was taking care of me.. once I said no that's your job to ask Bc I've been waiting here for over 45 minutes y'all should have established a wait time for me. They in return told me "sorry appointment only!" After I waited 45 minutes.. then said to one another " you know we don't take care of her kind". Never again I'll visit this establishment to give them service or recommend this location! Super rude, cold ,racist establishment! Don't come here if you aren't Hispanic from LATIN AMERICA! i used to be looking for places for long lasting gel nails. i would literally be in harlem, lower east side, midtown trying to find a salon that does quality gel work. the longest their gel nails would last would be a few days, until i found pinceladas. gel lasts super long here and stays shiny no matter what, even after cleaning with bleach, washing hair etc... the place is a bit crowded though. prices are amazing for the quality gel that you're getting. the receptionist is super nice and kind as well, always making sure i'm okay or letting me know that it's almost my turn. i've recommended this salon to most of my family and friends and i will be returning soon! read more

This is a fairly new nail salon within the Kingsbridge area. The decor in itself is very nice and the chairs are very modern and comfortable. It's very clean and accommodating, quite different than those around the area. Their expertise however is in the quality of work provided. All of their nail techs are extremely talented and always provide very high quality work. I've frequented a few times now and I have to say that they always give me the best manicures and Pedicures that I've had in a very, very long time. I would frequent them far more but they are very popular and have long wait times. I would suggest scheduling an appointment if you're looking for something in particular. I know that they also have an extensive menu when it comes to nails but I only ever get gel and a regular pedicure. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood and a great nail salon. read more

I absolutely do not recommend this salon to anyone unless you like paying high prices for nails that look like they cost $20. I've been coming to this salon since they've opened. I would do acrylic tips on my hands and gel pedicure with a refill every 3 weeks. Every time I would get my nails done here at least one nail would always break but most would chip. I had to stop coming here because the pedicure lady over filed my actual nail(while filling off the gel polish), mind you it should be soak off. I was so upset that this was the last straw for me. I spent months and a lot of money doing gel pedicures to grow out my big toe nail just to have it ruined. Don't even get me started on the price for hard gel nail extensions. It's about $60 for a set and $40 for a refill. That is absolutely ridiculous. I had to pay $80 for a basic short square gel set with hot pink polish. I hated the set so much it didn't last week before I cut it off my nails. They were bulky, uneven, started chipping within a week. I currently go to Salon in 236th. Their hard gel is better and less expensive. Also, I could last 5 weeks without a broken or chipped nail. Another thing, I did not appreciate is how they talk trash about the customers in front of the customers. I talk to them in English so they don't know that I know Spanish but I can understand everything you're whispering to each other. read more
