I been living in Bx short of 10 years. I found Stiletto Goddess two years ago on Yelp. I am a regular client and I go nowhere else. I really enjoy getting my nails done now. Why? 1. Appointment only!!! I love that they are appointment only. When I arrive on time, they take me and the time allotted is based on the services I mentioned when I set the appointment. So if I need new set they will let you know to come at least an hour early than your scheduled appointment to soak. If you are a nail vet (meaning getting wraps or extensions regularly, you know the drill) 2. Accommodating. The staff are accommodating and respectful to all clients. You need to be upfront with your needs because they will do their best without impacting other appointments. 3. Clean!!! I never worry about sanitation of the salon utensils or facilities. The salon is really cute. 4. Lastly the staff. Honestly, this is a women's version of a men's barbershop. I have seen some of the most conservative, quiet and introverted clients come out of their shell (myself included). The staff are fun and vibrant. I have at some point had a service by all staff. These ladies take their quality of work personal. 5. Customer Service-honestly their prices average 2-3.00 more than services at other salons. The more extravagant the design you will pay more. I see it as paying for safety, sanitation and really hands on customer service. This review is long overdue because I'm not big on writing reviews. I work in corporate and wear a lot dark and neutral attire. My nails are a form of expression. At some point I was afraid to have lengthy nails with bright colors, but I get more compliments from executives who use it as an ice breaker to talk business. Craving some self-care in the Bronx, I decided to make an appointment. I am always down for supporting local businesses and especially female owned ones. Overall Service: 3/5 Timing: 2/5 This place really put me in a tizzy. I had a 11:00am appointment the store didn't open until 11:10am. The mani pedi service didn't start until 11:20am. So unsurprisingly I left at 12:30pm. Not great, having to take my noon meeting from salon. Nails: 4/5 I am a mani padi newbie, so I only brought my sneakers. Thus, a gel polish was the only way my pedi would survive. But, did a simple regular clear coat for my nails. I think she did a great job considering the pressure of noon meeting. However, some of my nails could have been smoother. All in all, for $55, this was okay. My only pet peeve was the late start but, I hope to go again for a better experience. read more

I called Stiletto on a Friday about 11 and was able to get an appt for that afternoon. I had a few questions on the phone which was answered without rushing me. Got there about 10 min late due to traffic. Was still serviced without a problem. My nail tech Barbara was super sweet. I told her it was my birthday and I wanted nice but functional nails because of my daughter and my job -typing. I also showed her an online image of what i had in mind and that i wanted gold/rose gold. Gave her free range. Agreed on stiletto nails and with a bit of input from a coworker I ended up with beautiful nails that I've gotten tons of compliments on. I only removed a star because I did feel like my pedicure was a bit rushed. Not completely my nail techs fault as I was a bit late. Also her next client had arrived. But besides that I recommend highly. Also they are minority owned...which I try to support as often as I can. read more

I found this place online. After seeing their pics on ig and reading some reviews, I decided to make an appt. My usual nail tech schedule didn't match mine and I really need my nails done. Although the woman there were nice my nails didn't last a week. The lady that did my nails was extremely pleasant but she shouldn't be doing nails. Once I got out of the shop and looked at my nails I noticed they were streaky and almost see thru. I got white gel polish with red and some bling and it chipped and peeled right off in less than a week! I was so disappointed. So much acrylic was put on my nails so they were thick and nasty. Also a nail was put on crooked. What a waste of money. Idk if it was just the woman who did my nails, who did seem inexperienced (no mask so she was stopping every few minutes cuz stuff was getting in her eyes and coughing from the dust up during filing) but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Next time I'll just wait on my normal nai Update: This is in response to the owners message. I told the nail tech to do whatever she felt was needed. Also when I called I said I need a full set. She didn't correct or fix anything anybody else did. She did a bad job. I can't speak up about something that happened days later before leaving. This salon is great. The playlist is bumpin' and they give you a glass of wine while you get your nails done. All of the techs make you feel right at home and they include you in their conversations. Jojo is hilarious and did a great job on my nails. I bumped them down a star because of the wait time (even though I had an appointment). The nail buffer seemed a bit harsh on my sensitive nails. They did hurt for a few days after getting them done, but it eventually went away. I don't know if they were just running behind that particular day, but get ready to wait a while. The price range depends on your taste but you're paying for quality. Once you find your lady, you'll stick to one but they are all there to help incase she isn't there or an emergency happens (nail breaks, etc)... They make sure your nails are treated and you won't leave with natural long nails and a nasty dent from over use of acrylic and filing. read more

I wrote an awesome review for this salon and now I have to take it all back. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for 11am today. A hour before my appointment the salon calls me to cancel. Approximately 10 minutes later the salon calls back and tells me they have a 3:15 appointment, which I happily accept. I traveled all the way across town and arrived at 3:10 for my appointment. At 3:45 I was still waiting to be seen. There were only two nail techs working and neither addressed me to explain why the wait was so long or why there was confusion in regards to my appointment. As such, after waiting for over 30 minutes, with no end in sight, I chose to leave. As I was leaving I was completely ignored by both nail techs when I attempted to tell them I was not returning. Therefore, my advice is to save yourself the time and headache and go elsewhere for your nails. My suggestion is QTip Salon on Morris Park. They got me in right away after this debacle of an appointment. read more

Don't go unless you want to throw away your money, have a bad and uncomfortable experience. I went with my 12yr old daughter and my plan was to get mani/pedi done for both. So she can enter first day of school feeling beautiful. They did a bad job, gel polish was peeling in less than a week. I had to redo her nails at a different salon. Spent twice the money. I made a appointment for 4pm and was still there until 6:30pm. Such a long time because they worked so slow and didn't know how to do nails. Had to sit there and watch my technician clueless doing my nails. When she told me to wash my hands, I went over to the sink and felt my nails so rough, lumpy and uneven. I had to tell her to bring down the camel hump, file the corner which had excessive acrylic on the edge/corner of my skin and buff it at the end too.She didn't know the steps. ‍This is a ghetto salon. The music wasn't pleasant. The technicians were unprofessional, talking loudly over trap music. Which was changed over 20 times. Imagine that experience when all you want to do is relax and get your nails. Yelling across the room to inform me of what they were going to do for my daughter. The suggestions about color, shape, size, etc. that she gives are on point. She listens and she is the only nail tech that I have ever encountered that understands the art of subtly. I came to stiletto a couple of a weeks ago. I was super excited, I had seen all of the photos on yelp and social media and couldn't wait. The service was excellent but my gel manicure was okay. The polish was very thin almost looking like it was regular polish, the designs I got on my nails started chipping within a couple of days (regular polish with gel top coat). Manicure is was soaked off within 5 days. I'm sure this place is awesome, I have a feeling it might be a lot better if you are coming in for sets and jewels. read more

Came here for a regular gel manicure. While the ladies are nice and they seem really talented at what they do as far as designs. I wouldn't recommend getting simpler work done. The paint job was horrible and she buffed my nails really narrow. Also, the lady who did my nails didn't seem as skilled as the others. I cant remember her name right now. There's this new girl (I'm guessing) named Olivia, hopefully she stays, bcs she truly put on time and effort into my feet, and gave me such a nice massage to my legs, fantastic.
